The 40 minute drive was worth it.. The restaurant was choka but we were seated after a few minutes.. Considering how busy it was the food was quick coming out.. Everything we ate was delicious and well presented.. We will definitely be trying the new Darlington one when it opens as it's more local to us..

Great staff and service, really nice surroundings and rooms. The menu is a bit pricey, but balanced out by the half price bed and breakfast offer.There was some noise to be heard from downstairs in our room but not too bad. Would definitely recommend.

firstly i ordered the 3 little pig starter they where cheap frozen things from a freezer shop ordered the rump asked from medium/to well done the steak was small and medium rare and bloody ...on the plus the chips where ok

This is our first visit, the staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious, it was just a shame the room wasn’t very warm, the staff did put on the heating but we had just about finished our meal before it warmed up

Second visit and the food was just as good but we waited even longer for food , almost an hour this time ,and it wasn’t that busy , ended up playing eye spy as the kids were bored waiting so long

Really enjoyed our evening to celebrate my husbands birthday, the waiter was very professional and extremely pleasant , the food was excellent , a bit of a drive for us but worth it nevertheless

Early Bird special: 3 courses for sixteen quid, how can you go wrong? The steak was fairly small but beautifully cooked, I was full at the end of the meal. Nice friendly service too.

Lovely venue. Friendly helpful staff. Unrushed service, but not slow - the table was ours for the evening. They got our steaks mixed up when served but dealt with quickly and without fuss. And the food was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t fault it.

We sat at a long table at the window with the opening into the main space facing our table. The noise from the main room was intrusive. The food was excellent.
