Lovely food but I do think the service could be better as the staff aren't very friendly at times. I get they are busy but friendly faces are key for customers wanting to return. Table was booked for 2PM we arrived after 2pm but the table wasnt ready, we didn't mind the wait though so not too much of an issue.

A family Christmas meal which excelled. All members thoroughly enjoyed the food , all meat juicy and tender especially the beef melted in the mouth great selection of very fresh and well cooke d vegetables all in all a wonderful time was had by all. Thank you to all the staff.

Staff weren’t that welcoming. Collecting plates before everyone had finished their meals. Too many reminders as to how long we had left at our table. Like a conveyor belt service. I will say food was lovely, hats off to the chef.

We’ve have been there 3times now For our Sunday lunch and each visit surpasses each other the seating is more than acceptable and the Carvery Is absolutely wonderful the surroundings are very pleasant shall be going there again

Probably the worst food we have ever eaten, all the food on the car very had been sat there all day. All the meat was dry, shrivelled up and so overcooked to be uneatable, none of the 4 of us could eat our main course it was so bad.

It wa sa wonderful visit for a family birthday. The only real downside was one member of the party having to wait 15 minutes at the bar for a drink, despite there being multiple staff working and minimal capacity taken up in the pub.

Staff were so polite and helpful all the time. Food was absolutely beautiful. Especially the best stuffing I've ever tasted. Took my boyfriend there and my son for the first time and he was blown away by the beauty of the place.

We were staying in the rooms there which were good. We found the restaurant to be comfortable, warm with an excellent carvery. Good value for money. However although friendly, the staff were not overly chatty and were very casually dressed not quite such a good image.

Calvary look a little empty and not appealing at the time, and food tepid in temperature, ordered meals were welll presented and hot.
