Lovely setting and very professional service , had a good choice of vegetables but the meat and gravy was bland

We visited on a Monday lunch time with our friends for the carvery which didn't disappoint. It was excellent and very good value for money, and very nice staff. We will be visiting again.

Beef/turkey/gammon-excellent. Super selection of vegetables. The potatoes daupinoise in particular. Value for money - spot on.

The meat was lovely but a lot of the veg wasn’t so great. It’s usually spot on but the potatoes tasted reheated and the parsnips were over cooked there was no root mash which was a shame as I like mash with my roast and the yorkies tasted old. The gravy and the red cabbage was nice tho.

Fantastic venue, lovely setting. The food was delicious however service wasn't great. We waited nearly 10 minutes at the carvery to be served and the server wasn't very friendly.

Wrong table size booked even after confirming online for 12 and then again Thursday evening by phone. Meal was for a Birthday and i have to say the whole experience was very rushed with unfriendly customer service. Not what you want for a celebration , felt like we were constantly being told the time we had to vacate which is very off putting. Wont be in a hurry to go back which is such a shame given the reviews.

1st class great food will be back good service and staff

This was our first visit, was a little disappointed to be given the scrag ends of the lamb, which I was looking forward to! Luckily I chose to have beef as well, so didn't go hungry. Cant remember her name but there was one very considerate member of staff that assisted my mother to get her lunch, was very impressed by this level of service. Hated the process of ordering the food, since the area where this is done gets very congested & it takes so much time. We weren't advised of the process immediately, so had wasted some time before being aware, at which time there were people that at arrived after us already queuing to be served.
