Still buzzing after another excellent meal at 500. The sincere friendly convivial welcome & service only bettered by the kitchen who offer up dishes of true perfection. The antipasta are wonderful, with the San Danielle and melon, & white and brown crab Carta music "lasagna" standouts, whilst the ravioli is ravishing richly delicious. The place to go for Italian, with a sublimely sardegna vibe, luxury at more than affordable prices!

Grazie mille a tutti! As ever 500 just as concisely, chic, Unitarian, and excellent as the vehicle it is christened after, perfect in every way. I recommend it, the food, wine and service consistently supreme, but don`t just take my word for it, book and try it yourself!

The food is very good and service efficient and friendly. The restaurant suffers from the usual noise because of the hard surfaces. Overall though very good.

Good food and service, and decent prices, at 500 Restaurant hidden away behind an unprepossessing front facing the street which you could easily walk past without realising that somewhere worth visiting lies behind it.

Great food and service. A real local hidden gem. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. Please book as it gets busy and they were turning people away.

Starters were delicious but unfortunately the crab starter gave my friend a very bad stomach when we got home. The lamb and steaks were brilliant, my rabbit was ok but the sauce way too strong and mash too sloppy

It's not in the most prepossessing location, but 500 is worth it when you walk through the door. Service is great, it's a friendly family-run operation and the food is truly splendid. Burrata and fritto misto are stand-outs if you see them on the menu.

Pleasant intimate Italian restaurant. Good menu, food and service. Open on a Sunday evening which is not always the case with other restaurants. Must book as a small number of tables.

It's a lovely gem -- an oasis of Italian tranquillity on one of London's busiest roads. You feel like you've stepped into Italy. The food is exquisite. I went with a friend who has been to the best five-star restaurants around the world, and he thinks it's a brilliant restaurant that gets it all right: food, ambience, service, price. I can't recommend it enough! Mel

Excellent, authentic and reasonably priced Italian food; fascinating wine; attentive and friendly service; attractively laid out; and situated in the centre of a vibrant, local community outside the frenetic confines of central London but also readily accessible-this restaurant is a real treasure which we are determined to visit again on our next expedition from Liverpool to London.

An excellent lunch which was unusual and filled with flavour. We asked to share a starter which the restaurant very thoughtfully split for us. The mains were delicious. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years it is always consistently reliable and a real treat. Thoroughly recommended

We regularly visit Cinquecento and never have a bad meal. The food, service and ambience are all excellent. The menu changes with the seasons and serves wonderful Italian flavours with a twist. If this restaurant was in the centre of London, it would be three times the price. Wonderful value and fabulous cooking.

Service was excellent but unfortunately the food was really not up to the standard we enjoyed last time; each of the four of us thought our vegetables badly cooked and our complaint was acknowledged but nothing done about it. Maybe Monday evening is not a good evening to eat here. Portions are huge but vast portions do not make up for food not cooked as well as it could be. I must say however the main part of the meal - the meat or fish - was fresh and well cooked, let down by the "sides". It was also comparatively expensive. We will not be returning - there are many better value restaurants around.

Excellent proper Italian food. They don't have a big menu, but they got some amazing dishes, I think some of them are authentic recipes from Sardinia and they were delicious. We also had some fresh burrata from Puglia, and trust me it was fresh. We will definitely go back.

An excellent small local Italian restaurant well located close to Archway underground station. It has an understated frontage and you could easily walked past. It is my second visit there, both times in the company of an Italian friend. It has a nice varied menu and some nice wines. The service is attentive without being intrusive. On both occasions I have thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I shall definitely visit again.

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in London. It is a bit noisy but that means success. The cooking is as good as it gets, a seafood tagliatelle being superb as was the rabbit signature dish. A wonderful Italian wine list. Not expensive for the quality you receive. Attentive service. No wonder it can be difficult to book a table!
