This restaurant was amazing ,the service was brilliant even though it was extremely busy, the food OMG ! absolutely delicious, cannot recommend 500 enough. we will definitely be returning again and again .
Always a warm welcome. Great authentic Italian food. The Sardinian bread, truffle and ravioli have great flavour. Kids loved it. Lovely family dinner with treats.
This neighbourhood Italian restaurant, run by Sardinians, serves excellent food in very agreeable surroundings. The service is excellent, and the menu interesting. In addition, it is terrific value considering the quality and choice of the food. I cannot recommend it too highly
Excellent as always staff very friendly and helpful Four people each had a different main course and everyone was happy with their choice Highly recommend
It's our third visit: it's uniformly excellent. Also, always friendly. Like eating in Italy, but here. Frankly, this place is a treasure; high quality Italian restaurants are rare in London, and this (without being wildly expensive) is one.
Very good meal, good value wine, friendly staff and service! Italian food with a twist and very good value for money. Recommended for Italian foodies
Super imaginative food and friendly attentive staff. The option to order small size starters is great and allows you to try all the flavours without feeling too full.
We've never had a bad meal! Fabulous food, great service and a good atmosphere. The menu is a bit different, not your average Italian. There's usually also a seasonal specials menu too. There's so much you would like to order, it is sometimes to decide what to go for.
Dont make our mistake. We went for the prix fixe 6-8pm menu. I made sure to mention this when we first arrived and was assured that was understood. We then each ordered one main course and one desert. Imagine my surprise when we got the bill and were told that the prix fixe did not apply to us as it only worked if one had a starter and a main course, not a main course and a desert. We had gone at the v early time of 6 specifically to get the cheaper menu. Why did they not tell us when we ordered that this combination didn't qualify? And what is the reason anyway? Though paying separately for the courses cost us more than it would have done, from their point of view, it would have been a 'better' deal than if we had taken the far more expensive starter rather than the desert. The food was as good as ever but Im now unlikely to return and, unlike in the past, I will not be recommending 500 to friends.
Lovely little restaurant with great Italian food and service. A real treat. This is the fourth time we have eaten here and it's always fantastic. Don't be fooled by the outside !
The restaurant looks basic when you first walk in but the friendly, attentive staff make you feel comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious and the red wine was excellent.
Both my friend and I enjoyed our meal with 500. I do gluten and dairy-free and the Chef was very attentive and all staff very helpful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and wine was good too! Thank you 500.
This is a lovely local restaurant. It has delicious traditional Italian food with a modern twist. Nice relaxed, casual style and atmosphere combined with good service.
Very nice restaurant with friendly staff, good food (with regional specialities and wines) and very reasonably priced. Quiet when we arrived but got busier as the evening wore on. Would recommend.
Food and service really good have been there many times would really recommend this restaurant for a very enjoyable evening. Would definitely go back again.
We had the turbot, veal and the veg pasta, the fish and meat werevgood, but unremarkable, the pasta was incipid. With ingredients like fresh peas and asparagus should have burst with flavour, so was a disappointment. The price for 2 courses plus a bottle of ordinary wine at £40+ was a bit steep.
A fantastic, low-key little restaurant which does the best Italian food in London. The chef came out to see us, which was really nice and the waiters friendly and non-intrusive. Prices good too
We had very tasty fish. Loads of veg. Good unobtrusive service. Only slight complaint was it was a little noisy. Left feeling contented after happy and delicious meal.
Delicious food, choice but not too much, all really good. This place remains a firm favourite which we will continue to go back to often.
Lovely home made type of good! Best home made tiramisu. Good selection of wines and friendly staff. Berm gong there for over 10 years now!
Great restaurant, authentic Italian food. Must book as it gets very busy and a limited number of covers. The only negative is if there is a large party it does become very noisy. Not a place for a quiet romantic meal.
Great menu selection and all the dishes were very tempting. You can mix and match mains and starters as smaller portions to try out more dishes. It's a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere with lots of regulars. Great value for money too. We would definitely return.
I have been going on and off to this restaurant from very soon after it opened. I love it. Their food is great, authentic genuine Italian regional food, menu changes regularly, quite simple dishes, high quality ingredients. incredible value as you would pay a lot more in the West End, great value wine list and friendly professional service. Unfortunately there is one very small point that is a serious problem and causes many of my friends not to go there. It is a very small restaurant and very very noisy. If there is a party or large group there then you cannot have a proper conversation with the people on your table and this spoils one's enjoyment. I regularly tell the staff to invest in a carpet or something and they smile at me, but it really is a big problem. Very very unfortunate as this is an outstanding restaurant.
Always fresh and tasty food. All made and prepared on site. Highly recommend this restaurant. Good for families, couples and friends. Small menu with plenty to offer.
best food, same or even better than good restaurant in Italy. Price is affordable, or more economy than 1st class Italian restaurant at center of London
Fabulous food and service. The tinted windows may well stop some people popping in but what a hidden gem! Three courses and a glass of prosecco for under £40 including service - wonderful!
Great food and nice atmosphere. My gnocci with shaved summer truffle was outstanding and my friend said the frito miso was delicious and good value for money
One of the best Italian Restaurants in London offering authentic Italian cuisine. The staff were really friendly. It was our first time at 500 and will definitely not be our last. We will definitely recommend 500 to our friends and family.
Second visit to 500 restaurant and the food was even more amazing than the last visit. I will be returning for a third, fourth and even fifth visit. This place never disappoints! Thanks again 500 for great food and a lovely evening. 5 Star!
The food was excellent. Really couldn't have asked for more. But the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired as it's very cold and doesn't reflect the delicious warming food.
Excellent as always. I particularly like being able to have two small starters. The crab was very fresh and tasty. Had veal pasta as a main.
This was a really disappointing meal from a restaurant that we had been looking forward to visiting for some time. Disappointment started with the bread, which was stale and ordinary. Starters of octopus and crab were uninspiring. The mains were ok and the best things out of a mediocre meal. The ice cream was atrocious for an Italian restaurant - completely tasteless. It cost £100 for two - albeit with alcohol included, but that was 2 glasses apiece, not even a bottle. It was extremely poor value for money and we won't be returning.
Excellent meal, had a lovely evening! The staff were really welcoming and engaging. Between us we shared lots of 'mini' starters which allowed us to try them all which were all delicious. Would go again!
Relaxed local restaurant with excellent Italian food. Helpful pleasant service, tolerant of slow dining - much appreciated in these days of "we need the table back by.." Good ingredients, diverse menu - eveything was good.
Unfortunately our experience didn't live up to the reviews I had read prior to making this booking. We were a small group of three plus my 5 month old grandson celebrating a birthday. The restaurant is small and cosy and staff friendly. However the starter of Octopus was rubbery and tough; crab starter was tasty; rack of lamb was tough; stone bass tasted burnt, which my daughter didn't finish; rabbit was ok; tiramisu average, I've had better. The restaurant was very accommodating as we had a buggy, however there was no disabled toilet facilities, which proved difficult when we had change my grandson's nappy.
We had beef carpaccio and octopus, followed by rabbit and lamb chops. Prosecco and chianti, with desert and coffee. Monday is a quiet night. Service was fine
Very good Italian country food consistently over the years in an unlikely location in up and coming Archway. Service is agreeably discrete in a relaxed atmosphere of locals eating good value food. ~The plates could be hotter in my view.
Service is always friendly .the menu is always wonderful and great selections. Assistance is given in selecting wines and drinks and the venue is comfortable.
Very helpful cheerful staff in a modern plain setting. Sharing platter looked and tasted great. Mains were fine vegetable sides of spinach and potatoes were ordinary. Tiramisu was excellent. Enjoyed two types of roses. The most expensive on offer was good.
The food, service and ambience were wonderful, though one of the waiters needs to understand the difference between sizes of wine glasses! Worth travelling to: it's only a few minutes walk from Archway tube
