500 Italian Restaurant

I enjoyed the service and the food was good, tho' I would like more veggie options which don't rely heavily on cheese. However, what would make me reluctant to return was the noise level. I had to shout to make myself heard quite often which is NOT relaxing. Can any noise absorbing methods be introduced?

I the lamb was not up to standard and was like eating a Brick The fish Stone bass was very nice I did not like the greens

Really delicious Italian food. Slight delay between courses but worth the wait.

Really good food in a nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. Will certainly come back when in town again.

The chef and waiters are really interested in whether we enjoyed the food and do all they can to ensure our enjoyment.

Lovely small intimate restaurant and service was friendly and excellent. Interesting menu, beautifully presented and as a whole very tasty. We did sadly find the rabbit too salty due to the stuffing. But we will be back, and try some of the other things on the menu.

lovely local restaurant which is value for money and friendly service. Just the noise level that is a bit disturbing, quite difficult to have conversations if there are 6 of you and being heard - would be good to have a look at the acoustics but everything else very nice indeed

We had a delicious lunch of lemon sole and green beans with a perfect pesto dressing. Very relaxed and friendly place.

Had a family lunch here - as ever consistently good food, lovely wines and great service

I have been going on and off to this wonderful restaurant since it opened. It is always first class. They change the menu regularly and everything is fresh, authentic and genuine. Very friendly first class service too. Only problem is that it is a small restaurant and does get noisy at certain times, but other than that I will not hear any criticisms.

500 is an absolute gem of a place. Consistently high quality food. Great service. Long may it continue

never experienced the noise level in any restaurant in 50 years! Rowdy tables of people drinking and shouting to excess. However good the food and service are if you cannot converse with the people around your table because of the ill-mannered swearing louts around you the experience it does not bode well !

Wonderful food. So fresh and tasty, you can tell it was homemade. Unusual but brilliant flavour combinations. Would highly recommend.

there was a particularly noisy woman in, but that's not the restaurant's fault. The acoustics of the room probably made her sound louder; there's nothing to absorb the sounds, e.g. tablecloths, so any noise tends to bounce off all the hard surfaces.

We love 500: the food is delicious, it is the perfect place for lunch or dinner.

Very enjoyable meal in pleasant surrounding.This restaurant is highly recommended.

We were the only table for the first two hours but nonetheless the food was excellent and the service was brilliant from start to finish. The chef also cane out for a chat. My guest enjoyed themselves as first timers to the restaurant and were quietly surprised by this hidden gem and the authentic quality food. Shall be back sooner than later

Have been coming here since they opened a decade ago.As always beautifully cooked ,imaginative Italian food, the like of which you will find difficult to match in any highend Central London tratt. And for a fraction of their prices - it's the Holloway Road after all! Good selection of reasonably priced from all Italian winelist. Tried the Terre di Chietti Pecorino this time - delicious with seafood. 500 is a neibourhood gem.

Well...put in this way , i'm a southern italian guy who does not live in london anymore and i won't eat italian food in any italian restaurant in london or elsewhere in england , except 500 restaurant, because of his genuinity and outstanding quality food.

Menu has changed since our last visit. Could have eaten anything from this menu. Good food as always and great service.

Superb food delivered promptly by friendly staff. Couldn’t be better. The menu is varied enough to offer something everyone likes and there are always specials too. Some of the pasta dishes are really exceptional.

We enjoyed the whole experience. It was very pleasant with good service & a visit from the chef at the end. We had interesting tasty food & well priced wine & particularly liked the offer of two mini starters if you couldn't decide on just one.

I have been to 500 many times, and it never disappoints. The portions are always very generous, and as usual I am never able to manage a pudding.
