I was extremely happy that I chose The Bird in Hand for a special birthday lunch for my friend. We both enjoyed the food immensely and the help and service we received was exceptional by all the staff. Will definitely be returning.

Went for Sunday roast Only given 1 carrot and 1 parsnip for the price thought that was bad Everything else was lovely tasted good waitress attentive but something wasn’t cooked properly as mine and my husband tummy’s were bad

The garden set up was ideal for both sun lovers and those who like to sit in the shade. The waitress and waiter were both very welcoming & friendly. Will come again and therefore highly recommended

Lovely place! Was a little disappointed we were allocated a table under the bar but the staff were attentive and coming from a hospitality background it was good to support the industry at a tough time. I wish I knew the terrine had anchovies as I would have asked to have these removed but never mind. We’re looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you :)

Excellent Birthday Lunch for four people. Nice gentle pace to service, allowed us to catch up without being rushed. Good menu and some unusual dishes.
