Regular brunch date with friend. Warm friendly welcome, good service and tasty breakfast. Happy to accommodate fussy friend's requests. Definitely best breakfast we've had in Monton and we saw familiar faces so others must think the same.

We had an incredible Sunday dinner. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was absolutely divine!

Our visit was incredible. The food was fantastic and the lady serving couldn’t do enough. The only negative was the young lad who worked there, he sat back and did very little whilst the lady ran round making sure everyone was catered for. I’m not sure of her name but she was absolutely brilliant!!!

The food was lovely but some of it came a bit cool for our liking, would have been better if it was hotter. Also smaller than usual portion of patatas bravas. Every one was friendly and cheery that served us.

Staff were very accommodating and kept us informed in regards to my friend's allergy. The food was lovely, the staff were great and we felt well looked after.

I went to Blacksticks with a friend, who i meet each month for breakfast. Our usual haunt in Monton has definitely gone off the boil and had let us down on our last couple of visits, so we decided to give Blacksticks a try. I'd only been for dinner in the past but i had always been happy. Breakfast today was very nice. Staff are efficient but not overly so. We were able to order exactly what we wanted without faffing. Arrived beautifully presented and piping hot. Generous portions and good value for money. We have already booked in July for our next catch up.

Waited 45 min for starter pate .Irder roast beef Sunday lunch tiny slice of carrot no other veg on plate beef was prepackaged sliced beef Yorkshire pud burnt .

Love the food - always great roast dinners on Sunday, so tasty, perfectly cooked. Too full to have dessert this time, but they are also reliably yummy!

Another amazing meal at Blacksticks - the food here is really delicious. It’s like fine dining but not pokey amounts, and with a completely relaxed atmosphere and super friendly service!

Food great, service very pleasant. Wait times not good considering I saw 4 in the kitchen and only 3 tables occupied. Really slow I'm afraid 😨
