Amazing from the second we walked through the door. Greeted by friendly staff. Lovely setting for lunch. Delicious food and the waiter recommended us a beer to compliment the roast fondue. Would highly recommend this little treasure in the heart of Manchester.

Went for the Sunday roast fondue - amazing food and quite a novel experience! Service was good though we were on the 1st floor so it was harder to get their attention when nobody was up there. Surprised it was half empty when the online reservation system said it was fully booked after I booked ours, I was expecting it to be really busy! Overall it was really enjoyable, can't wait to go back and try the pizza fondue!

Food was amazing!! Plenty of everything, staff were very friendly and polite, nothing was too much hassle, the environment was very calm and relaxing, will definitely be returning.

I frickin loved my fondue roast dinner! Cooked to perfection and a really good idea! I’ll be back to try the desserts.

What a find! Doesn't look much from the outside but inside is just like a German beer cellar. Great ambiance and smashing food - not had a fondue for years. Will definitely be returning

It was a decent visit, surprisingly quiet. Small chicken portion and a very small side plate to put bits of food on. Aside from a couple of waiters who looked at me funny when ordering non alcoholic drinks the service was ok. The taller woman waitress and elder of the waiters (owner maybe) were very welcoming and lovely!

Great meal at Bock last night. We had the classic fondue and the bitterballen starter between the two of us and it was all delicious. If anything, we could have had more cheese for dipping! Very friendly service too; definitely somewhere I’d go back to.

Had been looking forward to a night at bock for some time so was pleased to finally be going. We were shown to our table by a lovely lady and was told our waiter would along shortly. Considering there were hardly any slots for online booking the place was very empty and lacked any sort of atmosphere. When our waiter came he did not greet us just stood at the side of the table waiting for us to ask him. We asked could we order drinks and he took our order. He then just lingered around and when we realised he was not leaving we told he we were not ready to order food yet to which he replied “ok” and slumped off chewing his gum rather intently. I had seen a special on bocks Instagram page but had not seen any sign of it up around the restaurant. When he eventually replied he again spoke no words until we did he just stood at the side of the table waiting chewing his gum and giving a few loud exhales of breath. My friend I was dining with was shocked as I hadn’t raved about how much I was looking forward to coming. I asked him about the special and he said yes we have it and wrote down my order. He left and continued serving others around us. When our food was brought my friend wanted to ask for sauce for her chips but he quite literally plonked down the food and left before she even got a chance to. When he next came last she asked “could I please get some alioli mayo” to which he replied I think we have some I’ll have to go look. He stormed off into the back doorway huffing as he went. He came back 10 minutes later just as chirpy as when he left. The food was Ok I was so very disappointed at the experience though after hyping it up to my friend. When our bill came I did mention to the lovely lady we met at the door that our experience was some what tainted by the poor service we received. We constantly felt like we were “putting him out”. Had a lovely time here. Took my wife for a birthday meal before going to the theatre. Food was delicious, service friendly and accessible and the place is comfortable with good background music. Word of warning - the platters are an enourmous amount of food, can easily be shared with theee if you! We did one started and a platter and it was way too much! Quite a carby dense meal would be my only criticism but paired with beer and it all makes wonderful sense. The beer selection is excellent.

Had the cheeses fondue it was amazing really fantastic.waitress was not very engaging.

Last time we came it was amazing but this time, nobody checked if we wanted drinks after the first drink, nobody gave us a menu after our main meal or even offered desserts and it took ages to get anyone’s attention for a bill. No clue why unfortunately but Atleast the food was lovely!

The cheese was not fully melted when they served it to us and the big lumps remained. The dessert was also quite disappointing as the waffles were very dry.
