Great food; very high quality meat cooked extremely well with friendly service. Plenty of choice with interesting specials. Small so make a booking if you want to get in.

Fantastic value 3 course meal. Really nice and friendly waitress. Tried to book in again for tomorrow night but it’s too busy! Without doubt will be returning the next time we’re in York.

A lovely cosy little front room restaurant. As the name suggests, the menu was based around grilled meats which were superbly cooked (vegetarian option available). My appetite suited the set menu suited perfectly. I chose the mixed grill followed by pork medallions and the meats were tender and tasty. Friendly maitre d. Would recommend.

The food was amazing. This place is quite bijou, but is a lovely atmosphere. The waitress/front of house girl was friendly and polite and made the experience great. Enjoyable evening for my husbands birthday. Thank you

We ate here with our 10 year old grand daughter. We received a warm welcome, the meal was excellent, and served in pleasant surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be happy to recommend to anyone.

The food and the service was top quality!! Portions were maybe on the small side for my husband but enough for me. For the quality of the food, 3 courses, (not off the fixed menu) and 2 drinks each was only £68! Absolute bargain. Will definately go again.

A little gem in the city. The food was outstanding. I had the pork from the set menu which was great value and my husband had the lamb off the main menu which was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend.

It’s tiny yet cosy and comfortable.the staff work hard and food was tasty,their is a good variety as well.situated near Piccadilly it’s a change from those large restaurants and quite novel.

Lovely little restaurant with a great atmosphere! The waitress was really friendly and attentive and the food was first rate. Really tasty starters and the pork and lamb mains were cooked perfectly. Really nice sauce to compliment the pork and the sides (especially the mash and fries) were delicious. Really nice dessert to finish. Not expensive for such a well prepared meal. Would highly recommend. Definitely book, as restaurant is small! Some people had to be turned away.

This is a lovely and intimate place, great service and very tasty food. As you would expect from a grill house, the meat was cooked to perfection (and to our specific tastes). Great value too

First time here and had a great meal. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and tasted top notch. All this washed down with a few drinks and a very funny waitress who was fab!!!

Service was excellent in this tiny restaurant with just some 7 or 8 small tables. We had mains and desserts. My steak was beautiful although the accompanying 2side dishes were rather meagre. My wife had the sea bass fillet - well cooked but the overall portion size was disappointingly small, even for her when she does not like large portions. My sticky toffee pudding was light, fluffy and delicious. My wife’s chocolate brownie had a very soggy bottom. The waitress was extremely friendly, efficient and keen to make our meal enjoyable - it was my wife’s birthday and she had ensured this was marked by balloon and roses to decorate our table. So full marks for the service but the actual food content was just “ok.”

Very quiet when visited but service and quality of food were very good. Choice of menu was varied and acceptable and staff were enthusiastic and courteous. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here to celebrate my Birthday. The service from Weronika was second to none and she made us feel very welcome. Restaurant is very small but intimate and a warm friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the Pate, Ribeye and Lamb Fillet 🙂

Fantastic food, lovely place, attentive and genuine staff. It was my first time at the Corner Grill House, and although I'monly visiting York, I will return at some time.

Food was great and the service was great! Being a small restaurant makes it so much nicer experience as staff can attend to you properly!

Fantastic service great food and a cosy friendly atmosphere. As there are few tables you normally need to book but the Quango service shows availability and works efficiently.

Good food, good ambiance, good service and well priced. The Corner House Grill is a small but welcoming venue, with friendly staff. While the menu is not extensive, there are good options and actually enough choices.

The food here is always good and the service is really friendly. This is such a lovely cosy restaurant which we always like to visit when we’re in York.

Lovely little restaurant! The place was cosy and cute, the lady who served us was very friendly and welcoming and the food we ate was beautiful. Me and my partner both agreed that it was the best meal we’ve had together (excluding holidays) so I would 110% reccomend visiting!

Lovely food, great service & good prices. Only observation was that the stuffed pork was mainly bacon, very little pork in the middle which was a shame but lovely sauce.
