Côte Barnes

Thanks to all the staff today especially manager at the front of the house. Despite being busy we had wonderful service, well managed and food was very good too.

Always a warm sincere welcome and attentive on the ball staff which is quite rare in Barnes . Great value but delicious menu with interesting soecials

A very large Cote Restaurant, Cote is one of my very favourite places to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff always friendly and accommodating and the food is consistently good.

Great range of gluten-free options. The the service was excellent, although we were initially charged for the complementary bottle of wine which was a bit annoying.

It was a busy Saturday night - staff were lovely but a bit over stretched, possibly a rush after the literature festival right outside the door closed for the day. I mentioned that my dish was overcooked - immediately taken away and replaced with no quibbles., Waitress was very nice and friendly and the food (with the exception of the dish replaced) was usual good quality. Would consider not going again on a Saturday night - it just seemed more stressed a bit messy in the public areas.

First class service and first class cuisine; well done to the whole team at Côte Barnes, it was a genuine pleasure to dine there tonight - 5 Stars across the board.

Slightly changed menu from what I got! The waiter however was very helpful to explain.

Pleasant interlude in a busy day: vegetarian breakfast for two served quickly after ordering, well presented and delicious. The only downside was a well-meaning but over-anxious waiter who frequently needed to ask whether the food was OK.

Very enjoyable evening, wonderful friendly efficient attentive staff. Noticed a kindly waitress helping an elderly gentleman with his coat on his chair. Food was very well seasoned and served quickly. Service was not intrusive. Have always rated Cote for its food and welcoming staff and the Barnes restaurant is an excellent example of good food at a reasonable price. Jeanette Sanders

Great experience. Perfect location. Attentive service and consistently well prepared and presented food. Love the conservatory style layout. Also appreciate the friendly layout for senior mums with no major steps for access or to the “powder rooms”.

Delightful greetings on arrival, everytime. The set dinner choices are first class topped Everytime with excellent,caring service. Please do not change. A wonderful asset to Barnes in a delightful location. One benefit us we have never come across a dog! I hope it's the policy as the rest cafes/eateries,with few exceptions in Barnes are plagued with them. Love dogs but not at and under tables where I eat.

Excellent! We were greeted by the Manager, Charlie, who was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. The Rhubarb Cocktails were delicious and the food very yummy! All the staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you! The flowers for my 100 year old Aunt were just fabulous - a very kind gesture. Kaye Hewson

Cote Barnes need a new chef. My mother and I normally go to Côte Teddington but as Barnes is new and near where I live we thought we’d try it. What a disappointment! The serving staff were lovely. No complaints they couldn’t do enough. My mother and I both chose dishes we had recently had at Teddington. The half chicken my mother had was dry and looked reheated and the fries were oily and not crisp. My chicken - a weekend special was fine but the potatoes were definitely reheated and fry and wrinkled on top as were the beans. Cote’s creme caramel which is their signature dessert, was dreadful as they had burnt the caramel which was nearly black in colour and bitter in taste. We will not be returning. This is a great let down.

Excellent in all respects save ,for the 1st time ever, the creme brûlée was not up to the normal Cote standard. Staff as usual very helpful

We had a lovely meal, just a shame where we were first seated by the kitchen door when the trays of food came out my husband got frites on him from a bowl that tipped over on the tray. We asked to be moved and we were but the waiter service wasn’t great as when we asked for condiments they didn’t arrive and asked another waiter also when we asked the same wait for boiled water for coffee he forgot that too and the second one got it straight away again as he did with the condiments

I happened to mention it was my husband's birthday when booking - what a treat! We have been thoroughly spoilt today and his birthday has been made so special not only by the super food but by the extra super service. Many thanks! First Class experience!!

Very nice steaks and salmon. Apart from a slight delay in getting water and drinks on arrival- it was busy- service speeded up and was very attentive. And they even divided the children’s steaks and desserts before bringing them to the table. Consistently good food here and reasonable value too.

Excellent meal and service. Would recommend Cote for lunch or dimmer.

AS usual, Cote provided a great Brasserie lunch. Good food and great atmosphere. Cote Barnes has a really nice view over the green and pond.

We had a very lovely meal last night at Cote. We shared the crab and avocado mayonnaise to start, than my brother had fish goujons and I had pork belly with dauphinoise potatoes and peas. The food was lovely and very well cooked and we had the cote gin and tonic to accompany our food. The reason for the 5 stars was because it was quite hard to hear what my brother was saying despite sitting opposite each other. It also got very hot in the restaurant despite sitting near the door.

Great service and food, however the acoustics meant that in a busy restaurant the noise levels meant it is not a place to go for an intimate meal.

Great service an great food will definitely be back. Have been t Cote in Marylebone and it was not any where near as good as Barnes

Coped splendidly with a table of six discerning septuagenarians - all of whom enjoyed a selection of dishes from across the menu. Good value to boot!

Went with my grandson who was looking forward to having PASTA. He is three years old and the staff came up trumps even though there was no pasta on the menu.

Food and service was lovely, only problem was the meals didn’t come out at the same time, so but the time we ate the first meals were bit cold

There was a party of seven, each choosing a different two or three course set meal. Clear plates would suggest that everyone enjoyed the food and all would like a return visit in the near future, possibly at lunch time or maybe for Brunch?

We booked for Mother’s Day at the restaurant in Barnes and, considering how extremely busy it was, the food options, quality of food, service and atmosphere were impeccable. We were a party with two unders two year olds too and staff were really attentive and considerate of our needs. Perfect!

Always a great experience at Côte in Barnes. From the well chosen and well priced menu, the friendly, efficient service,to the wonderful position of the restaurant, overlooking Barnes Pond. The icing on the cake yesterday was the free glass of Champagne to celebrate the restaurant's 1st anniversary! Happy birthday Côte....a great addition to the neighbourhood.

Service was very slow. No filter water was offered. One of our guests who was celiac, checked a dish with the waitress. She checked with the chef about a dish, but didn’t come back to confirm. The dish without a Gluten Free flag which it would normally have( usually the manager would take the order when gluten free) nobody checked to see if our food was okay. The table took time To be cleared.Everything else was to standard. We were overcharged for the bill at the end by £8 this was rectified but for this I would expect service to come off or manager to apologies considering how quiet the restaurant was.

Lovely food and service nothing to much trouble also not rushed Nice of pond all in all a trusting and welcoming experience that I will recommend to any of my friends and family
