The air con desperately needs to be improved. Would not go back again on a hot day. Food was great but we asked for some Gorgonzola to be added to a salad and they couldn't provide this, only Gorgonzola butter, then we saw that the Gorgonzola was part of the cheese selection, so couldn't understand why? We were happy to pay for any extras.

Good food and ambience. Suggest you eat early as it gets busy. Especially on Fridays. Staff pleasant and great deals before 7p.m. weekdays. Try it!

Booking was easy. Food was excellent, good choice and very tasty. Very good value for money on the midweek menu. The only thing that spoilt it, which I appreciate is beyond the control of Cote, was the extremely noisy children. Screeching at an uncomfortable pitch!!!

Very pleasant evening. Good food, good service, reasonably priced. We had starters = asparagus, and crab mayonnaiise, followed by salmon, also with asparagus, quite al dente, and goujons of cod, washed down with cotes de Gascogne. Came away very content.

4 of us had brunch. The food was tasty though my egg florentine was rather soggy. Slow service in a not very busy restaurant with empty plates left on the table for too long.

It was a hot evening and the staff who greeted us gave us a choice of seats where she felt we might feel coolest. The food was good. I don't agree about the service charge of 12.5%. I would rather tip according to the standard of the food and the staff.

Unfortunately because of the heat the restaurant was pretty uncomfortable for me, I had called earlier in the day to ask if they had air conditioning and if it was working as this is important to me. Sadly it was not working well when we got there. The food was nice and tasty and a good range, although some of the portions were small. We had schnitzel, goats cheese salad, mushroom crepe and chicken, and all were eaten without complaint. And two of the group were still hungry! I would go back and give it another go when the weather is cooler.

The food was delicious, as was the Kir Royale. The food was a little slow in coming, but the service was very pleasant and polite. Will definitely go again.

Had several items unavailable from the menu which left a limited choice if you don't eat fish.... waited a long time between courses for service. Starter and dessert v nice.

A very pleasant meal out with friends. The food is consistently good and the menu has a very good selection. The staff are always cheerful and polite. The complimentary Kir Royales were delightful. The restaurant was packed on the Monday evening we went, with a variety of family groups, work colleagues, friends and couples, yet the service was still very good. This is our favourite restaurant for a grown up family meal or dining out with friends.

We had a very enjoyable evening with friends - good atmosphere and food, and very good value. We would recommend it - I can't think of any downside, I just hardly ever give full marks to anyone!

Always have great food at Cote Amersham, and the friendly service, decor and atmosphere are good too. Thoroughly recommend for an evening celebration meal. The wine list is very good as well.

I have visitedCotes,Amersham since it first opened with various size parties. On every occasion the food has been faultless, the service excelentt and cost reasonable for the area My only disadvantage is they do not stock zero alcohol lager as alcohol reacts with my medication!!!! Visited today first time for breakfast, great as usual Very popular and advisable to book prior to visit. Parking in Old. Amersham very difficult at times, but only a short walk from municipal Car park Can be noisy at the rear tables when busy,I tend to try for tables near the entrance,

Staff excellent, unfortunately my partners fillet steak had lots of fat and gristle! My duck seemed to have been left in the oven to keep warm as the plate was roasting hot so the bottom of the duck touching the plate was very grey and cooked through and the top had dried out.

We arrived for lunch earlier than our due time but no problem with getting our table. The food was really good and although they were short staffed and very busy, the service was excellent.....we will definitely be returning ourselves and will recommend it to our friends.

Food was fine - service poor. Not as good as usual. Most of staff having lunch. Had to wait ages to get bill then had to go and find staff to pay.

Food not as tasty as previous visits, long time between courses, deserts not available. All in all disappointed especially as not a very busy evening in the restaurant

My lunch was fine. Lovely crab starter, but my guest' fush course was overlooked and the vegetables were almost raw. We did mention this to the waiter.

Service was good but only one fish dish still available on menu by 6 pm. Portions were on the small size with accompaniments to the main being minimal eg my rump of lamb had 3 asparagus spears and 5 tiny new potatoes. My husband's fish parme tier had no accompaniment at all. Also we only received one complimentary Kir Royale between three people, the other two being charged. We realised when we got home that they should have all been complimentary. Not what we expected.

Excellent service and tasty food. Completely one hundred percent happy although slight disappointment they had run out of crab so maybe stock control could improve. However what was served was delicious.

Good menu especially the comprehensive Gluten Free choices. The restaurant was bright and cheery and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful also patient. We had a table at 7pm when it was quiet but it got rather noisy once it filled up later.

Restaurant was busy but staff were attentive. Tried to squeeze 6 onto a table set for 4 but moved to a more suitable one after a request. Initially they said nothing was available, but we were moved within 10 mins. We had starter, main and desert and apart from a chicken main, which was dryish, the food was well cooked, very similar standard and selection to our local Blancs Brasserie. We finished late ie around 11pm and werent hurried at all. Will go again.

For the second visit running, we have waited a long time for our food to arrive and when it does, some of it we have had to return as it was cold. The waiting staff are always extremely good dealing with the situation but the repeat evidence is that there are problems in the kitchen which need to get sorted. Shame as it was really nice at this restaurant but experiences in the past 3 weeks are not encouraging.

The steak (of steak frites) was much tougher and more over cooked than on previous occasions, the bream was small and the fishcake was no better than average. The staff were, as always, very good and, as always, we strongly resent your efforts to extract 12.5% service charge. As always, we give a tip to the amount that we want and, because of your unpleasant policy, it is always less that you demand. We give a tip to the waitress who, because of her cheerful smile, improves the quality of our evening out. The kitchen staff do nothing apart from cooking properly for which they should be paid a proper wage.

Can't beat menu choices at such reasonable prices. Staff good and reasonably efficient (I had to ask for bread twice to go with my soup). Restaurant of choice when meeting friends for a casual lunch.

Went for dinner a la carts menu. Food above average. Steak was rather and needed a sauce to make it palatable. The chocolate fondant was lovely. Service was a bit hit and miss. Price was average.

The food was great and very impressed with the quality of the children's food. Also their customer service is extremely good, everyone is very professional and polite.

Excellent food & service. Breton fish stew fab and desert selection so lovely difficult to choose between them. Good atmosphere and very friendly service. Recommend.
