Really good experience...as if none of this nonsense was going on...well done Cote

Delicious food and efficient service. A meal at Cote always makes us feel like we've had a taste of France when we can't go there.

Service great from the moment you enter the restaurant to when you leave. Food excellent as usual. Glad you are open again. Missed you.

Had a lovely meal with very good service, there was a problem with a main course dish which was quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

Great meal but a little pricey, service and food on point

First inside restaurant meal since the beginning of the Covid crisis and Côte Chelmsford did not disappoint: airy and well managed dining area, well protected and trained staff, a warm welcome, efficient service and great food. We’ll be back!

As usual the staff were absolutely great from beginning to end helping to make an enjoyable atmosphere. The food was very tasty and enjoyed by all, however I had the Loin Lamb chops and whilst the meat was very tasty it was difficult to extract from the bone and was poor with regards to meat quantity. Suggest this joint is dropped from the menu.. With current restrictions regulations were carried out well although I felt our table for six was a little cramped and perhaps tables could have been put together in the central area without loss of numbers to yourselves. All in all everyone was relatively happy and a good night had... no doubt see you again soon.

Pleased to see the Chelmsford branch re-open. Our full English breakfast was lovely with attentive service from the staff.

So glad to be back to one of our favourite restaurants! We were greeted by the always friendly staff who recognised us. Our order was taken swiftly and the quality of the food was excellent. The mushroom sauce with the chicken dishes was to die for. All the desserts looked beautiful and tasted divine. Overall a lovely meal with a very safe and friendly ambiance.

So lovely to have the Chelmsford branch open again, although cotes at home has got me through lockdown. Fantastic staff, no issues around Covid. Lovely food. Great atmosphere and lovely to see it busy.

The vegetarian breakfast was delicious. Without doubt the best veggie sausage I've had. The service however, was lacking. We had to ask to order drinks, ask to order food, wait over 30 mins for the food, no offer or enquiry if we wanted any further drinks or food, we had to ask for the bill. When we paid the bill, no enquiry to how the meal was. Just so disappointing, to have delicious food but not be provided any service.

We love Cote Chelmsford and were delighted to be back. However, we were very surprised by what appeared to be rather casual Covid precautions. This is the only restaurant we've been to where the tables were ready laid with cutlery, glasses etc. in advance of customers sitting down (the norm now is to sit at a completely empty table and have items brought to you). Also, we noticed one party changed tables but no staff disinfected the table they had just left, and presumably touched. Sadly, it made us uncomfortable that precautions seemed far too relaxed.

Excellent service and food. So happy Cote has reopened. Our fave restaurant in Chelmsford.

Food consistently good and so tasty! But the service is what makes this restaurant so great. Starting with the welcome from the staff and the impeccable service throughout the night. So glad they have reopened and I hope they are here to stay!

It honestly was great. The food, the company (self selected!) and the staff all made it a really nice experience. I actually don’t go out much at the moment so it was a nice treat. Thank you!

It was so nice to be back having lunch at Côte Chelmsford, after such a long time; I feared you would not reopen. Everything is as good as it was before the great flood and lockdown. Excellent.

Only second day open and service was as it always was. Friendly and familiar staff made it feel welcoming, will visit again and hope to see more of the staff. Well done to all. Food was good too although reduced menus.

Food was nice overall, however my lamb was way too fatty but was redeemed as tasted nice. Wouldn’t order again but hey, the other dishes were good

Just great to be back at Cote Chelmsford. The “restricted” menu was extensive and full of old favourites. Service was friendly and efficient as usual. Thanks to Vinnie and his team for their kindness and hospitality. Just like being back “home” again!

Our first meal out in 6 months due to the pandemic. Cote was excellent in all aspects: food, cleanliness, service, friendly staff. I would certainly recommend it.

Great to see Cote open again! The staff were also glad to be back at work, and the service was the usual high standard. This was the night that Chelmsford Cote reopened and it was eerily quiet on our arrival (5.30pm). But it soon began to fill up, and tables were positioned for good social distancing with no loss of ambience. As for the food, I didn't enjoy the Goat Cheese Salad' . A better title would be 'Stewed Vegetable Medley with Goat's Cheese'. For dessert, the 'Praline Crepe was excellent. My wife had more luck with her main course and we both enjoyed our starters. Best of luck to Cote.

Soooo thrilled to have Cote Chelmsford open again. It is simply the best restaurant in the City.

The finest dishes served by first rate staff in a relaxed but sophisticated setting. There really is no better restaurant in Chelmsford. Even when the fire alarm sounded, something out of the restaurant’s control we were given complementary drinks as a gesture. Perfect.

Fantastic breakfast and great Lattes every time...probably the best in Chelmsford.Service is brilliant and very friendly staff.

Had a very good night with mother in law as it was her birthday 83 years old, sorry but do not agree with the 12.05% service charge it is up to the customer
