Delicious meal, great Chardonnay and fab service and company was wonderful !

Another lovely experience at Cote. Excellent service, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere for Mother’s Day. Nothing was too much trouble and the set menu was great value for money.

This Cote is our local and we are always well satisfied. The welcome is warm, service professional and food very good value. Our Hungarian waitress is a joy.

Downstairs smelling of drains, but thankfully seated upstairs. Great service, bisque starter lovely, lamb was superb, but haddock overcooked and dry. Always good, sometimes great. Recommended.

Perfect as always. Five people, all meals were delicious. Good service and allergies awareness great. The Breton Fish Stew is one of the favourite meals, as was the Charcuterie Board. Thank you.

Great welcome as we arrived, great service throughout our waitress was lovely and so helpful, delicious food and great price we used the before 7pm deal.

We booked an early table, and arrived upstairs with only two other small tables seated. 20 minutes later we were offered a drink, which we felt was too long when there were five people behind the bar all talking. We sat down to starters around 50 minutes after we arrived, which were very nice. The mains were beautiful, apart from one half chicken which was pink and inedible. Unfortunately, the restaurant was SO busy at this point we were unable to flag anyone down to ask for it to be changed, so it was just left. We ordered desserts which arrived 50 minutes later - at which point we had considered leaving. Sitting upstairs, the room was full by around 730pm and it was literally impossible to hear the person next to you it was SO noisy. Other eating places in Chester are noisy, but this was a whole new level!!!! The waitress who served us was just wonderful - she was so friendly, so polite and so accommodating. She also apologised for the wait, and deducted some drinks from the bill due to the excessive wait time which we appreciated. Overall, the food was very nice - pink chicken is an absolute NO for anyone, so this was disappointing. The one waitress was wonderful, however it was so busy that it was impossible to catch anyone's attention if you wanted a drink or something was wrong. Sadly, we would not return.

Stopped the weekend in Chester so booked here for our evening meal on the Saturday. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service we had couldn't be faulted.

Excellent brasserie brunch was perfect as always service exceptional, the staff can not do enough for you, I’d highly recommend as food is delicious and great value for money!

Visited Thursday 11thapril to celebrate a friends birthday. Our party of 8 visit at least once a month. Very disappointed with the food and the service and birthday was ruined. Two of the party had to send their food back as it was cold,this isn't the first time we've had this problem. One person had to send it back three times as it was still cold.Staff very offhand and manager reluctant to give full refund. When told we've had this problem before and it needs to be looked at,he stated all food is probed to 75 degrees.The food wasn't anywhere near 75 degrees,if it was we wouldn't have had to keep sending it back.The plates might have been hot (couldn't touch them)but the food certainly wasn't.

The food was excellent and the service, very good, which was most commendable on a busy Valentine's day. However, my experience was significantly dampened by being seated in one of the regimented tables for two along the wall, upstairs, on a very small table, with only enough room between tables for the wine bucket to stand. In my mind, Cote is a high-ranking restaurant and I was very surprised to see so many people "squashed-in" in a similar manner to more commercial restaurants. I would certainly visit again, but only if a nicer table be available.

Cote is always consistent in everything it does. Lovely,friendly,welcoming,efficient staff. A varied choice of delicious, mouthwatering food served in relaxing, pleasant surroundings. Always sure of a wonderful experience when we visit.

Excellent as usual, food was very nice and service was good only downside is they apply 12.5% tip to your bill which is uncomfortable if you wanted to leave a tip that you feel comfortable with

A wonderful, very tasty and seasonal meal. The lamb rump was divine. Excellent service. Lovely ambience, with the front door open to let in the warm evening air. They were happy to swap the offer of gin drinks for anything we wanted - absolutely wonderful!

Excellent service but sadly the main course was rather poor, unlikely to return which is a pity. Having brought the problem to the attention of the staff had to ask for an explanation

Côte is one of our favourite restaurants; this was our first trip to Chester’s Côte and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Ambiance relaxed and calm, food wonderful, some of the best mussels I’ve had; drinks great. It was a birthday lunch which the staff at Côte made really special. We’ll be back.

We eat locally often and it is nice to make a change from the many italian restaurants in chester. good location, excellent service and a good menu. Quite pricey with little add-ons unnecessary.

5 of the 6 of us enjoyed our meals. One of the diners had the lamb; it had to be sent back as the potatoes were rock hard. The replacement came but the potatoes were still hard - he made the best he could of it. When we got the bill the we raised it with the waitress and she took that meal off the bill. It was such a shame as the rest of us enjoyed our food.

I’ve dined here for breakfast and for lunch now, and both times have been lovely. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is so tasty, and there’s a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend Côte in Chester.

Myself, my mum and daughter enjoyed our meal greatly. The food was lovely and the staff were welcoming and pleasant throughout. My only reservation is with the optional service charge of 12.5 per cent. I am always happy to leave a tip but prefer to be given the option of how much. I did leave the full amount because I felt obliged which is different. It almost feels like a tax on the food and drink.

The food and service was excellent, but the tables are too close together so that you have no privacy and cannot avoid hearing the conversation of fellow diners
