Côte Chester

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal we had there on Sunday night for my Wifes birthday. The staff were lovely and gave her a complimentary glass of prosecco for her birthday which was very nice of them. We will definitely come back here when next in the city.

Excellent Food & Drinks, Service & Decor and value for money as always. Having an alfresco aperitif on the upper level walkway was a great start to the evening.

Brilliant - This was the first time we had visited Côte Brasserie & we were not disappointed! We’re always on the look out for new places to try as we visit Chester quite often. We were hugely impressed with Côte Brasserie & would highly recommend it to anyone. The food was superb & the service was excellent. No negatives at all!

Another lovely experience at Cote. Excellent service, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere for Mother’s Day. Nothing was too much trouble and the set menu was great value for money.

After a fantastic meal last Saturday this time [saturday 15th] was very disappointing . The starter was lovely but the potatoes with our main course were really hard .The waiter did change these for fries and gratinee potatoes but by the time they came the rest of the food had gone cold. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely meal in a very pleasant restaurant. My only downer was having a gratuity added on to the bill. It should me my decision how much I want to give. I know it is optional but, you lost out as I don’t like being told what to give.

Has a wonderful lunch, food was beautiful and the service was great. My fav place in Chester .

Went to lunch at the Côte in Chester. Loved tge lunch menu. Tasty and just enough without being overpowering. Nice ambience and good service. Recommended

In Chester for the races, a weekend away for my mom. Also had 11 year old son with me. Very bad weather meant we had a terrible journey up on the Friday night but soon forgotten after a lovely meal in Cote! Enjoyed everything about it: food, atmosphere, drinks and service absolutely excellent. Thanks for the perfect start to our weekend.

Delicious food and drink and excellent service. We especially enjoyed the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone as we could not fault it.

First time to cote Booked just from TripAdvisor as we where in Chester for a long weekend Great service , food was excellent Only downfall was putting gratuity on bill , please give the customer the option first , but overall nice night and staff very attentive 5 star from us .

Very nice lunch today - the chicken liver parfait was excellent as was the half chicken and salmon. Good prices on 3 course lunch menu.Very polite, friendly service too.

Had a brilliant meal at Cote Chester on Sunday 11th February It was a late booking & unfortunately just as we were about to order my colleague had a call about security at a venue we were hiring. This held up the order and the staff for almost half an hour and instead of leaving as I thought we would be too late to order, the staff were very understanding and took the order for our two courses The meal wasdelivered beautifully and was wonderful. We introduced 2 of our friends to Cote on Wednesday. We were warmly greeted by the manager, Dean, whom we have had been very well served in the past. The food came well up to expectations, which is a relief when telling friends how good Cote is. The only slight matter that concerned me was that the waiter was the same one that served us on the last occasion who proved a little difficult over the cocktails. Our male friend asked for a dish of the cheaper lunch menu and requested a rib eye steak of the more expensive one. I had told him that this was acceptable as that is what I had done previously. The waiter told him in no uncertain terms that was not possible. I had to tell the waiter that if he charged at the higher rate there was no problem. He eventually understood. I feel that he was acting under instruction and probably should not be blamed but resented that he was not told that some customers do not mind paying a very small amount extra to obtain a dish he particularly enjoyed. I asked Dean what had happened previously over the cocktails. He explained that there has to be a record of our computer booking before they are allowed to serve cocktails despite the fact that I had a printed record that we had booked online. I asked how this could be remedied and was told that a telephone call in advance to ensure the restaurant had that record is advisable! May I suggest that head office looks into its systems as this is not the first time we have had this embarrasement. What is the point of booking online when it is not recorded?

Tasty food and great service! Have been several times to Cote Chester and have never been disappointed. Had the seasonal G&T and ate off the a la carte menu, food delicious and appropriate portions. Will be back!

Good atmosphere on a busy Saturday night. Staff stretched and not enough time to give proper expected customer service, how are your starters, shall I poor you some more wine, do you need more water? Getting the staff attention was difficult as focused on getting the orders taken and served. Food was good and average size portions. Cost was slightly more especially as they had added 12,5% service and didn’t say when we offered a tip!

Great atmosphere fantastic food and a brilliant waitress. Couldn't have asked for a better evening, thanks to all the staff for making it a memorable night.

This Cote is our local and we are always well satisfied. The welcome is warm, service professional and food very good value. Our Hungarian waitress is a joy.

Downstairs smelling of drains, but thankfully seated upstairs. Great service, bisque starter lovely, lamb was superb, but haddock overcooked and dry. Always good, sometimes great. Recommended.

As always we enjoyed the meal and relaxed atmosphere and would visit Cote Chester whenever we are in the area.The staff were friendly and attentive. We were served very quickly and the noise level was fine.

Perfect as always. Five people, all meals were delicious. Good service and allergies awareness great. The Breton Fish Stew is one of the favourite meals, as was the Charcuterie Board. Thank you.

We liked it so much the first night, we went back the second night! Excellent friendly service, very quick! Delicious fish dishes! And to top it off...the man on the table next to us went down on one knee with a ring! Lovely! They were treated to a bottle of champagne and a personalised pudding!! A super place to propose... we definitely recommend. Just one thing to check... the bill has voluntary service included.

As usual, we had an excellent meal with great service. The team were lovely making our anniversary really special.

Booking table was so simple on line .Given a section on any options which is good because we prefer to sit on the ground floor of this restaurant . Service excellent and food was delicious . I had the lamb as my main course which was outstanding better than in Michelin starred restaurant

my wife and I and 2 friends visited Chester Cote last night. I had booked on-line in order to benefit from the monthly offer of free cocktails/wine. For the third of fourth time, despite producing a copy of the booking confirmation, our request for a cocktail was queried. Previously the cocktail or wine was produced eventually. Last night we were told that the manager told me that she could not find the offer but was willing to give us a Kir Royale. I found it embarrassing in front of our friends as we had promised them the cocktail and the palaver left us feeling as though we were trying to obtain we were not entitled to. The food was up to its usual high standard and the service was efficient and friendly. What a shame that our evening out was marred at the beginning so unnecessarily.

Lovely breakfast as always this morning, can't better Cote anywhere else in Chester for this, absolutely delicious.

This lovely restaurant is always consistent in quality and service. It is a delight to dine there and is by far one of the best restaurants in Chester.

Good food and a pleasant Server but; A server taking a selfy for a neighbouring table by leaning across OUR table was intrusive and disrespectful. We were a table of two. We were seated within a few inches of a very noisy large group. We had to ask twice and wait 15 minutes to get the bill (the first person we asked apparently forgot). Then we waited another 10 minutes to pay. In Chester I'd suggest Chez Joules instead - better food and a more pleasant environment.

Atmosphere was elegant and inviting. The waiting staff accommodating however don't hover and the food is sublime. A perfect dining experience for any occasion. Will be visiting again

We have dined at many of the Chester restaurants. I would say that Cote is by far one of the best. The service is excellent and the food is fresh and prepared to a high standard. This restaurant is our go to place to have and excellent, relaxed and friendly meal. Lunch is excellent also.

Great welcome as we arrived, great service throughout our waitress was lovely and so helpful, delicious food and great price we used the before 7pm deal.

Absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived for our anniversary. Delicious food with faultless service. We arrived to a box of gift wrapped chocolates with a hand written card which was a lovely touch. We were then handed 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly. We cant wait to visit again. Thank you for making the evening so special.
