Enjoyed Cote Chester, great service (although I was puzzled to receive a very polite phone call from them whilst dining, asking if we had forgotten our booking 😉, I. explained we were upstairs mid munch!). Would certainly visit again if in Chester, lovely staff and consistent food quality.

Great service. Very small portion. Almost and incomplete meal. Had to buy chips to make meal substantial. Also extremely small portion.

Amazing service, absolutely fulfilled the brief. My boyfriend’s mum was treated like a princess and we had a wonderful lunch. Lots of treats, yummy food. Thank you!

A little disappointed, we had booked a table on line for my sons 18th birthday lunch before a days at the Races. I specially noted that it was for this occasion on my booking. On arrival however we were pointed to use any table. Waiter did not ask us if we would like a drink when we sat down, Incorrect information about breakfast finishing at 12pm, we had to ask for water and to see the lunch time menu. The young man did improve when our food arrived. The Female member of staff from the upstairs who cleared our table was much more service orientated and professionally. Food was very average, risotto was not fresh, had a few fresh asparagus tips added and no black pepper or Parmesan offered. Husbands steak, Ribeye, was quite grizzly. Other 2 dishes were average. 12.5% service charged was Most definitely not worth it. I welcome a response from the restaurant manager as this genuinely is the first poor review I have ever given.

Birthday treat for my husband and our children . Quick efficient service - they catered for my awkward allergies and even a on the house drink for hubby and a discounted bday pudding for him too. Food was nice . Portion of starter calamari was huge .. so much so filled me up before my main. Steak was ok and although i didn't have a pudding - hubby said his was delicious .

Always have a great breakfast here and if occasionally something does go a little wrong the staff can always resolve the issue..

Service and food was very good and we will certainly visit again with some friends. We will look forward to our free bottle of wine next time! Down stairs noise level good but upstairs rather loud but thats the nature of the building and floor so would always request a table down stairs

Becoming a favourite food place however tonight was a little noisier than normal. I had to send my food back as was undercooked however staff were very good at replacing it and it was fine second time around.

We were given a choice of seating , plenty of room and starters were served very quickly. Mains followed in good time and bill received when requested as we had to get to the theatre. Would recommend.

We were really pleased with both the food and service. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were attentive without being obsequious.

Lovely evening catching up with friends, made all the more enjoyable with happy engaging staff.

Turning into our favourite restaurant in Chester! Fifth or so visit since we moved here just before the New Year. As usual, everything was great - booking experience, service, menu choice (summer treats of lobster and veal sirloin (undoubtedly the best we have ever eaten anywhere!) plus drinks (2 glasses of very dry Champagne plus a bottle of Chablis cooled to perfection!) Comes at a price, of course, but well worth it! I am sure we will be back again (when waistlines have narrowed and our back credit has expanded again!)

Excellent as always! Chris and his team make us feel so welcome every time we visit. Gorgeous food, fabulous service and great atmosphere. Since opening Cote has been our favourite Chester restaurant - it's our go-to place to eat when we want a guaranteed quality experience. Also, it's nice to see continuity with staff - often there's a high turnover in the leisure industry. And, good to see staff progression - there's an adorable Tunisian guy (sorry, can't remember his name) who's recently been promoted from kitchen server to waiter. So pleased for him as he's so charming and a natural with customers.

As always had an amazing time. The service and food is always the best. Definitely recommend this Cote
