Good service from all the staff, attentive, professional, very busy but didn't wait long between courses, the food was delicious - have visited other Cote Brasserie restaurants and always had the same experience, would recommend.

We have been here many times because the food is tasty and reasonably priced. We have never had a poor experience until today. We had to wait ages for our food and it only arrived after we had been forced to chase it up and it transpired that the order had not actually been placed. We were given complementary bread and olives at this point. My husband's starter and our steaks were absolutely fine but my starter, the pisaladiere, was disappointing: the sweet onion mix was quite thinly spread on the overbaked flatbread and there wasn't an anchovy in sight. I ordered a second glass of wine and again we had to chase this up. To be fair to the restaurant we did have our complementary bread and olives and we were not charged for the second glass of wine. They also waived the service charge. However, we would rather have paid the full price and had decent service.

Having enjoyed Cote meals locally I booked here for a pre theatre meal for my companion and me. I had already downloaded the menu and we discussed it. We had assumed the pre-theatre menu would be unattractive and chose accordingly! How wrong could we have been? The welcome was warm and friendly and despite the restaurant buzzing with around 160 guests we were treated as if we were the only ones. The fixed price menu shook us by the variety of choice and great dishes, but we stuck to our original choices! My veal escalope was very large but beautifully cooked thin, tender and delicious whilst the tuna steak was perfection. Looking at the dishes at neighbouring tables the fixed price menu offerings looked equally appealing.

Very good & charming service. Best waitress in a long time. ( from Italy). Three course good - but crepe was very dry. Fish very fresh and cooked perfectly (easy to over cook fish so this was a delight). Good choice of wine - good quality. Not always the case in restaurants.

It is always a great place to go for a meal. The set menu and the specials change monthly so you never get bored with the same food. Having said that the regular dishes are worth eating again

Excellent food at a good price delivered with a speedy & friendly service just what you need when you have a theatre booked. Best to book in advance as many people were unsuccessful in securing a table as they hadn't booked in advance

Other cotes are more spacious even in London. This one felt cramped and six adults in a booth was cosy . Main server was fine but let down by his colleagues who attending us at different times and mixed up meals and failed to bring a new order of drinks despite being asked a number of times . They did hold our reservation when we phoned prior after problems on the Piccadilly line so credit to the place and would have been nice if the one waiter remained with us rather than a mixture that may have led to confusion at times

Considering I had reserved a table 1 week in advance I felt we could have been given a table on the ground floor which is much lighter and generally more pleasant than the basement room we were put in. The pre theatre menu was excellent and the service vert pleasant.

Booking system worked well as loads of casuals being turned away as FULL. Not surprising & very convenient for Colisium/theatre. Cote maintains a consistent standard wherever situated. Totally reliable. D A C May 17

Sadly, what started as a very pleasant late lunch turned into a fairly unpleasant experience. We asked for a different table to that which was offered and our request was amiably accommodated, thereafter our waitress was inattentive and rude. When asked for a glass of house white wine it was delivered warm and slammed on the table. Ice was requested and again it was obvious our request was of annoyance, the ice was delivered slammed on the table, the waitress leaning over one of our party's food to provide the ice. The food was of a good quality however the service was appalling. At one stage we asked for a few more minutes to decide on our desserts, after which the waitress rolled her eyes and walked off.

As always the Cote experience was enjoyable. Good food, service and a friendly welcome. As the restaurant was very busy, we were seated downstairs where the ambience is rather lacking. So when booking I would suggest requesting an upstairs table.

The food was delicious as always at Cote, fresh ingredients, freshly cooked. We were there at a very busy, pre-theatre time, so the service was a little slower than usual. It was 15 minutes before our order was taken and water arrived after the first course, which is very unusual.

We had a wonderful pre theatre lunch celebration for my mums 88th Birthday. We notified the restaurant ahead that it was Mums birthday and the staff immediately mentioned this on our arrival to make mum feel special. To our surprise 3 glasses of Kir Royal were brought out as a complimentary gift. How wonderful to come to London to our very familiar Cote (we go to Bath and Bristol) to find the same great menu and lovely service. It really does feel special at Cote. Thank you 😄

Food was good chose from the a la carte menu ,husband ordered rib eye steak when it came it looked more like steak haiche which I commented on to him but have had rib eye before which can be differing shapes. When the bill came I checked it and saw we'd been charged for fillet steak told the guy who's bought the bill ,he asked who'd served us ,I pointed him out to him but he didn't do anything so was a bit annoyed especially as there was £9+ service charge on the bill, with hindsight should have said I wasn't paying it,as rib eye doesn't sound like fillet

We were given a choice of table and chose a quiet-ish area. The specials menu included really good sea bass (or was it bream?) Starter of beetroot salad refreshing and well presented. My friend had duck and liked that. Service was mostly good though erratic at times, but always pleasant and friendly and not intrusive. Wine good as usual. A very enjoyable and satisfying experience.
