Very enjoyable meal, I reckon the Cote rib-eye steak is consistently the best in London. Very good service, no delays. One minor gripe was the the level of background noise, but then again the venue was full. We will definitely keep going to Cote (various London branches).

Great food and great service. We both had something from the Specials menu: my hubby had the Lamb with roasted fennel and I the Duck Confit. He asked for the lamb to be rare and it was beautifully tender. My confit was up to French standards...although the salardaise potatoes could have done with a bit more garlic, but that might just be my preference. Will definitely try other branches around the country now.

Food and service were both excellent at Cote, St Martins Lane. Had the set menu which is really good value in London. We will be returning.

Having had good experiences at Cote in Woking and Guildford, I didn't actually stay to eat anything in Covent Garden. The main restaurant looked ok albeit the tables are really close together, but the available table I was shown to was in the basement. This was a stuffy, crammed full with tables and totally characterless space which is to be avoided - people must have been really hungry to pay good money to eat in such an unpleasant space. Cote should do better, but I guess given the area of London there is a regular client base.

It is always a great place to go for a meal. The set menu and the specials change monthly so you never get bored with the same food. Having said that the regular dishes are worth eating again

Helpful, professsional and friendly service. Fresh food and a good range at reasonably price. Excellent location for theatre. Clean and nicely furnished surrounding. Try to sit on ground floor and near the front.

Very good food, very pleasant staff, but erratic service delivery, caused by the restaurant staff not using note pads for orders, just remembering or misremembering! Our side of fries did not come with our main course and by the time they arrived our main course was eaten, to avoid it going cold, apologetic waiter removed fries from the bill. Also my companion was brought the wrong dessert so again a wait whilst the correct 1 was sourced, so a bit like French faulty towers but still nice food, just use notepads!! Also glasses of rose wine were warm, but despite all this would try again if going to theatre in that area.

The food was fine as usual however the service was below par as they got our order wrong: having offered Badoit they brought Perrier and the wrong salad came with the main course and the right one only arrived as we were finishing our food. Nothing catastrophic just the staff seemed too rushed to concentrate properly. Didn't ruin our lunch as we had a good time but could have mattered if I was trying to impress my guest!

WE went for a pre-theatre dinner so that is very different from a more leisurely dinner. Cote has a set menu with about half a dozen choices for each course. It was £12.50 for two and £13.95 for three courses. I had a very nice starter of smooth duck pate on toasted sourbread and my wife had a sort of pancake with melted camembert (both of which were very nice) which we both followed with the typically French steak frites. It was a minute steak cooked med-rare, which it really was. The steak was fine but the portion of frites was for me a bit mean. It came in one of those now apparently compulsory tiny buckets which I must say I find rather annoying as they sit awkwardly on the plate and reduce portion size. The frites I had however were hot and crispy. I think some sort of vegetable or salad in addition would be appropriate but there was none. We drank a couple of glasses of their Cote du Rhone, very pleasant. For pud my wife had crème caramel which she enjoyed and I had ice cream. My wife liked the crème caramel. I felt the ice cream was a bit ordinary. It wouldn't cost that much more to have a luxury ice cream of which there are plenty these days. The staff were pleasant though very busy. There was one exciting and amusing incident when one waitress was bumped into by another waiter and the glass of wine she was carrying was spilt. She was so annoyed that she through the empty glass on the floor smashing it. All was cleared up quickly! So all in all it did what it said on the tine. We fed perfectly well and in good time for our show and at a very reasonable cost for central London. As an adjunct to a theatre trip I would certainly go there again but would need to try the main menu to see if it was what I wanted for an evening out in its own right..

Simple no fuss post Theatre dinner. Great service. Only drawback was no disabled toilet upstairs! The toilets were down a set of steep stairs so not ideal for elderly or anyone with difficulty walking.

Very good & charming service. Best waitress in a long time. ( from Italy). Three course good - but crepe was very dry. Fish very fresh and cooked perfectly (easy to over cook fish so this was a delight). Good choice of wine - good quality. Not always the case in restaurants.

Having enjoyed Cote meals locally I booked here for a pre theatre meal for my companion and me. I had already downloaded the menu and we discussed it. We had assumed the pre-theatre menu would be unattractive and chose accordingly! How wrong could we have been? The welcome was warm and friendly and despite the restaurant buzzing with around 160 guests we were treated as if we were the only ones. The fixed price menu shook us by the variety of choice and great dishes, but we stuck to our original choices! My veal escalope was very large but beautifully cooked thin, tender and delicious whilst the tuna steak was perfection. Looking at the dishes at neighbouring tables the fixed price menu offerings looked equally appealing.

We had a wonderful pre theatre lunch celebration for my mums 88th Birthday. We notified the restaurant ahead that it was Mums birthday and the staff immediately mentioned this on our arrival to make mum feel special. To our surprise 3 glasses of Kir Royal were brought out as a complimentary gift. How wonderful to come to London to our very familiar Cote (we go to Bath and Bristol) to find the same great menu and lovely service. It really does feel special at Cote. Thank you 😄

Lovely table for seven at the back of the restaurant. Service was first class the and pre theatre deal was excellent value, as was the wine. Minor quibble was that although the plates were hot, some of the food was only like warm. Overall my party enjoyed Cote and we will certainly go again

The food was lovely but the Service was dreadful! We booked a table for 7pm but did not get our main course until after 8pm!! We asked a couple of staff why it was taking so long and thru went off to find out. The good eventually came but no apology as to why it took so long. We were celebrating my Dad's Birthday so put a dampener on the evening

Very nice staff, pleasant and not intrusive. Good table - not crammed in. My choice of starter (scallops from the specials menu) was not available, so I changed to the calamari. It was over-fried, the batter dry and not very hot. It left a lingering greasy taste. My main course, the risotto vert, had plenty of vegetable in, but was too creamy for my taste and almost stodgy. I could only eat half of it. I am a regular at a number of Cote restaurants and this is below the usual very good standard. I left disappointed.

I went to see a show which finished at 5.30 and our table was booked for 6 but Cote kindly found us a table. The food was really nice (I had the fish goujons). However I didn't like the camembert starter and neither did my sister so we told the waiter and he adjusted the bill for us. I will definitely go back there as the waiters were friendly and food was good.
