My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner last evening. The food was well prepared and of very good standard. We were particularly impressed with the waitress who was both efficient and charming. All in all - an impressive experience.
We had the set menu. Food was not good - in particular the Breton chicken was dry and had a strange texture. There was a nice selection of wine though and we enjoyed our drinks.
Lovely service and delicious food. We’ve used various branches of Cote and always find the experience reliably good. Fresh ingredients, fast delivery, smiley waiting staff, reasonably priced. What’s not to like?
Staff were very attentive, polite and efficient despite the Pre-Theatre rush. The food was lovely. Well done. It was a lovely experience after a long journey by train. Keep it up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good service from the waiters and good food and wine served without having to wait too long and the price was acceptable for a pre-theatre meal.
We always use one of the Cote restaurants pre theatre and were very happy with our service this evening. A very busy restaurant but we did not feel rushed and our waitress was attentive and very polite.
My mussels were not up to cote standards 4 empty and juice cold . Cheltenham’s recently were excellent . First time bad course in Cote.
I have eaten in cote two consecutive Fridays. The first Friday we were seated upstairs and it was lovely , good food, good service Yesterday we were seated downstairs, very noisy, very hot, The menu had changed and several options were not available Excellent value none the less
Busy and buzzy pre-theatre venue but staff were efficient and friendly and the food very good. Invariably end up chatting to your neighbours and certainly not the place to go for an intimate tete a tete!
The food and service were both great! We did find it rather difficult to hear each other talking.
At first, The team could not find our booking which include complimentary drinks. The service team then stated you can only have the complimentary drinks if you chose from the ala cartel menu. 4 bottles of wine and six meals later. The service team still made an issue of cocktails and grudgingly gave the drinks
A very nice meal just before the theatre, the staff were exceptionally nice and would go again. All cotes I have been to have been of the same standard.
This Restaurant was over crowded tables to close together as for the poor staff they were rushing about everywhere and looked exhausted - this was a Saturday 5-30 but have to also say the food was lovely - have used vote in covent garden and Glasgow and prefer those of maybe try a different time
The staff was super kind and made us feel welcome. Our dinner with my griend become a memorable evening, I will return to this restatuant very sooon.
Another great meal at Cote. The service was excellent, they never disappoint.
Good food, good location, good service at a reasonable price.
Lovely lunch, the quick service was great (and appreciated) over the business lunch time period and the tuna salad was really tasty. A good atmosphere, buzzy but not so loud we could not talk.
Very nice restaurant, with typical french dishes. Very friendly waiters.
My wife and I enjoyed excellent food and service. The new April menu was great. We will definitely choose Cote Brasserie next time we are in n town.
Good service. V professional friendly waiter. Great food.
Saturday evening in a buzzy restaurant. The food was delicious and exactly what I expect from a French brasserie. Charming and quick service. Crab bisque+duck pate/veal chop+ribeye chips, salad, veg/plum tart/Chinon wine = £103 (US$140).
Overall excellent experience as usual - good food, good wine, good service (despite the venue being very busy). Cote continues to be very reliable. Couple of points : The venue is quite noisy (lots of happy eaters talking loudly). Minor quibbles on the food (nit picking here) - the mussels in my moules marinieres (yummy) were very small / a bit dry, my main of monkfish was delicious but I would have increased the spinach and decreased the mushrooms. As I say, nit picking, and we'll be back soon.
Cote's high standard can always be relied upon. We received a warm welcome. The service was good and so was the food and the atmosphere was excellent. It was rather noisy but that was only because it was full of people enjoying their lunch.
Always friendly service, really welcoming to customers. Good value for money early evening menu. 2 large parties were being looked after, however I was still well looked after. I will certainly return soon.
The service was bery attentive, although we were in before it got really busy. Much better service than a previous occasion we went, when the service was dreadful. The food on the whole was good, although my cod was quite dry and not as moist as it should have been. But that aside, it was all fine. Good value. The tables are rather too close together but its always been that way. Anyway, it is very handy for theatres etc and we will go back i am sure. I visit Cotes in various locations and generally they are a high standard.
The food was excellent and overall, good value. But, the tables are too close and thus it soon gets so noisy it is difficult to even hear what your partner is saying.. The owners need to give this serious consideration.
We had a really nice breakfast today as usual, however I don't know if it's me but the portions seemed a bit smaller than they used to?
This was our second night on the trot but, again, standards were maintained and we were made to feel most welcome. This was a particularly 'pre show' busy time but I thought the staff really handled the situation well, no one felt pressurised to finish yet they kept things moving very well. I really believe that the supervisors' and their teams are the main strength of the company, well done. Oh, one minor moan, no sardines and it was only early Friday evening. I could have understood late on Sunday - perhaps next time.
Perfect steak..food portions just right. Will definitely go again...booked in advance ..table immediately...great staff..very polite.. House wine excellent.. Fixed price menu very reasonable. Efficient and friendly service. 😊 thank you
Very enjoyable. Pre-booked tasble in the window as normal. Turned up a few minutes late but no problem. Oh yes, nearly forgot, the food was great as usual.
Excellent service and great food, 3 menus to choose from, all looked delicious. We were a party of 5 and all said how much we enjoyed the meal. Only downside was the toilets were down some steep stairs and one of our party has severe walking difficulties and found these difficult as other people were pushing past - there was a seating area downstairs too.
Lovely and welcoming. Food was amazing, staff were even better, service here is always fantastic.
Great steak frites! A Very busy location so don’t forget to book. Always good service and value from cote and very convenient for the west end
Had a wonderful afternoon with friends which was a reunion and to celebrate our birthdays. The food was delicious and cocktails super. Love the Cremant. Everything was perfect. Thank you to all the staff.
Very disappointing! I chose Cote to take two guests from America as I have always had consistently good experiences. Unfortunately I felt very let down from the time we arrived having to stand in the doorway and wait for our table (we were offered a table in an empty basement/dungeon which we refused) service was very slow and erratic and the food was average with my guest having to send his steak back as it was over cooked! Not your best...
Everything perfect thank you all. Will be back next week.
Hi Food quality very good and the creme caramel was excellent! Only negative is that the main course was lukewarm. Very helpful waiter, who provided directions (using his mobile) on how to find the theatre.
Cote was its usual friendly self we are regular visitors at St Albans good choices on menu and good quality, look forward to next time. Thank you
Eat here often always excellent food and efficient friendly staff..was here with girlfriends, we typically spend 3 hours plus when we meet.. obviously chatting and catching up.. Cotes never rush us so once we have eaten our food we sit back with our delicious choice of coffees and relax Highly recommend Cotes I have eaten in many different ones around the country, never had a bad meal consistently good.. with no hidden extras 😊
Delicious food. Good value, good portion size and good service.
Really tasty meal and we like Cote as a good place for lunch and dinner. Overall service was good and friendly. Learning points - didn't ask if we wsnted vegetables. Toilets not very clean (gents and ladies) and no paper towells in Gents. Things constantly dropped in the staff area throughout the meal. After saying this, the quality of the food means we would go back (French onion soup was delicious as was the steak).
Great meal and excellent service. We had the lunch/pre-theatre menu and the range of choices for all 3 courses were excellent. The dishes were delicious and a good and substantial amount of food for each one. I have eaten regularly at Cote but it was my companions first time and he was very impressed at the quality.
Lovely dinner. Good variety of choice on the set menu and a wide range on the a la carte. Restaurant was busy with the pre-theatre crowd, service was prompt and friendly but never felt rushed. There was quite a lot of hubbub but overall not noisy, as one of our party uses a hearing aid, meant we were all able to follow the conversation. Booked here as had eaten at the Cote in Oxford and was very pleased that this branch didn’t disappoint.
Although very busy, our waitress was very friendly and polite. Food and service were good
Nice place. Good location. Good selection of food and wine. Reliably good
We pre-ordered our food, were shown to the table and then waited 15 mins and getting our own drinks menu before calling someone over to place a drinks order and told them we had been waiting with no service, a male waiter (who wasn’t involved in our service was looking over and shaking his head in dissaprovement at our comments about not being tended to!! Then a waiter came over and told my wife that her pre-order was from a previous menu (that we were sent from the reservation) and had to change both starter and main course! After this a table next to us received Salmon, which was my wife’s original main course pre-order.
Friendly , fast & efficient staff which is what is needed for a pre theatre dinner . Delicious hot food , good value for money - this branch of Cote is one of their best
Food was good and service excellent , very good value for money
Pleased to get requested window table - excellent service throughout so very satisfied
Beautiful food, great service. Reliably good French cuisine beautifully prepared in a welcoming atmosphere. We were happy to bring our guests here and have dined at other Côte Brasseries (also good). We had a brilliant dinner!
