Excellent service, pleasant surroundings and a delightful menu selection. May also have been the very good company.

A great way to start the day with delicious food and good coffee

warm welcome from David and the team at COTE Dorking. Cold November evening, but the restaurant looked very inviting with Christmas decorations, baubles and lights in amongst the 'hedge-rows' on the terrace. We enjoyed some Kir Royale whilst reading the extensive menu. Given it was a cold evening some of our party elected for soup, and crusty sourdough bread,whilst others, the very colourful and healthy 'Bacon and egg' salad , and tasty Pissaladière camembert (possibly less healthy!)..mains of a very nice flaky ling cod , (not the most attractive of fish), but a very delicate flavour, steaks, and seabass, washed down with an excellent bottle of Chardonnay. Excellent service, delicious, beautifully presented food, from a caring, professional team. A lovely birthday celebration. thank you. I forgot to mention the Moules, superbly cooked, in a delicious Breton Cider sauce part of the November Prestige Menu.

service very slow throughout the entire meal. all starters ordered but one missed and good a very long time for it to arrive. in the mean time the manager tried to resolve it but due to a miscommunication ordered the wrong starter. have never had service issues here before so hope things can be resolved.

I was disappointed with the service and my main course. The service was extremely slow, my gin and tonic was, in fact, gin and soda water. Which was replaced. My main course, venison parmentier, was barely warm and by the time I received a hot replacement my friend had finished her main course. I didn’t mention it to the staff but the c as bagels served with my venison wasn’t hot on either of the dishes. As a gesture of goodwill I was not charged for my G&T but I cannot say I enjoyed my visit.

Good food, well cooked, efficient staff ... although a number of our favourite items were unavailable on the night in question.

Lovely food great service overall it was a good lunch. Can't wait to do it again.

This restaurant is a. Dorking gem. We savoured a gorgeous mushroom and the usually exquisite Breton fish stew. Perfect in every way.

Cote , Dorking is our favourite place to eat and meet up with friends. Service is very good, even when busy. There are favourite dishes on the menu and a new menu each month with seasonal food is a delight.

This is a lovely Cote with a fab manageress but on this occasion, We waited more than an hour for our food. In fact our table ordered only one first course and then it was ages before we eventually got served. The wait was worth it -think the food was cooked just to order!!

Another super meal. We asked for more sauce for the Ling Cod and it certainly did need the extra sauce making it a lovely dish. Back tomorrow!!

We visited with our oldest friends - he was best man at our wedding 40 years ago - and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. As always, service, food and wine were of the highest standard, which is why we return regularly.

As very regular customers of Cote in Dorking, we return because of the quality of food, wine and service. They are always welcoming and serve great food and especially if you eat from the early evening menu, it is fantastic value.

We were entertained at Cote in Dorking by some old friends from Wales, where Cote has not yet reached. This was their first experience of Cote and they were highly impressed with the food, wine and especially the service. They have asked to return next time they come and stay with us.

Service was not as good as usual tonight. Several items not available from the menu and incorrect desserts were served.

The welcome, the staff and the food were all excellent, a very enjoyable evening.

We enjoyed are evening out the food was fab The only thing I would say was the service was very slow . From when we got in to the restaurant waiting fo be served for drinks I would say we waited a good half hour before we got a drink to the table

There is always something tempting on the menu. Very high standard of service and consistently good food.

Absolutely fantastic. From the initial guy who seated us to every member of staff. All genuine and polite. Food was awesome and they were very attentive to gluten free guests. Highly recommended and we will be coming back!

Very good meal as it always is at Cote Dorking. It is a shame Kingston can not attain the same.

Excellent food and wine which was served efficiently and with good humour. Great care was taken to deal with my wife’s garlic allergy. Thank you Cote at Dorking.

Food and service was good. Tasty food, served hot and waiter polite and attentive. Only criticism is service charge shouldn't be added to bill - should be up to customer to decide. We would always leave a tip but don't like it being added - should be down to the customer to choose what they leave!
