Of course my husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Cote Hampstead tonight! We always do, which is very good testimony, as we eat at Cote two to three times a week. With the recent introduction of reviews, I feel I have already written so many that whoever reads it feels ‘ oh no not her again, praising Cote’!! Anyway I am a BIG fan, especially of the Hampstead branch, which has really lovely staff and food! With many thanks Missi xxx
Had Such an enjoyable time! Food always lovely. Service always an enjoyment - great staff! And, So reasonably priced! EXCELLENT!
We always feel very welcome, friendly service so we can relax over a delicious meal. Thank you.
The food and the service are always good - the only problem is the noise from the other people.
Wonderful building, great staff and delicious food! We come here often.
Food really average. No little extras or frills. Salmon portion small and anaemic looking. Chips too pale. Busy lunchtime and I felt processed and milked. Spinach pancakes were a little tasteless Also not one vegetarian option on the Weekend Special menu.
Friendly, kind and delicious food. Given it was mother’s day madness the team looked after us and ensured we had a great brunch. Thank you very much.
Lovely as always. Faultless service. Excellent food. All Côte restaurants are lovely but Hampstead is my favourite branch. Fab Mother’s Day brunch wonderful menu . 6 stars !!!
I was told I was not on the booked List on entering the restaurant with four people at 7pm. I ordered three rhubarb martinis, which I had pre-ordered from your kind free offer. We were charged for these. On arriving home, I discovered a Booking Confirmation, which meant we should not have been charged for the rhubarb martinis at all. George.
Service was really fantastic. Food too. But really the service made it a particularly lovely experience. It kind of exemplifies the ignorance of “leavers” who can’t see how much our friends contribute to our well-being. The maitre’d Polish, waiter Portuguese, and a manager whom I guessed was West African. All were fantastic. My father has dementia and it was my step mother’s 70th. I had mentioned this on my booking form and they delivered - beyond my expectations, though admittedly I have few expectations. This all begins at the top, and obviously you’re all doing something right. Thank you.
My family and I go there almost once a week. The experience is, with the odd exception very good. The food is consistently good and the service attentive.
nice food and very good service the staff are very good indeed
Excellent food and good value with pleasant helpful and accomodating staff
Lovely dinner. Excellent service. I love the special loyalty offers. I’m never disappointed at Cote. It Wows me every time. Compliments to all the Hampstead stafff Zoe x
I have been going regularly to Cote Hampstead for the past 5+ years and every time the service is great and the food tasty and reliable quality - nothing to fault.
Great food (especially March specials) , friendly staff. Highly recommended for birthday celebrations ;) It was a really nice experience, we will definitely come back, soon :)
Service was a little slow, and we had to ask for things twice. The waitress brought us a bottle of water and forgot to bring the glasses, we had to ask her twice for them! Same thing with the ketchup. It wasn't even busy in there. Initially when we got there the hostess who took us to our table was polite, tentative and kept asking if we needed anything else. Overall food was nice, but a shame that they ran out of the herb chicken as really wanted to try that.
Brilliant walk over The Heath in the bright sun. Crunchy snow on the ground. Convenient place to eat in the heart of Hampstead. Food good enough. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Tables very close together. Very noisy. Slow service.
Great food and enjoyable early mother's day meal. Steak and chicken delicious as was the fish stew. Praline crepes. Yum. Kept teenagers and olders happy!
A lovely lunch for three with the special offer of blood orange martinis ! Lovely! We had the Risotto Vert and Sea Bass and Fish Parmentier - all beautifully presented and delicious. This was followed by chocolate mousse and creme caramel. The waitress was very attentive, but it was very busy so the service was rather slow, especially fir paying the bill! However, we were not in a hurry and we really enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
The food was good, except poached eggs were very overdone but it didnt seem worth complaining about as the rest was nice . However, paying our bill took 45 minutes and three members of staff. I had to leave my table twice to approach the till and sort various errors on the bill. Staff on the whole were courteous, if rather in attentive. I will give Cote another chance as Ive not had a problem before but the wait to pay really was ridiculous and tainted the meal.
great easy going place to meet with nice food and good service
We had a very bad experience on 31 March. We had booked a table for 5 people at 7.30 but had to wait 20 to be seated. We waited 45 minutes for our main meal to arrive. And 40 minutes for our empty plates to be removed from the table and to order deserts. The whole experience was frustrating and spoiled Mother’s Day for all of us.
Good food and service pleasant atmosphere. Good for lunch. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yess no no no no no no no non no yes yes yes yes yes satisfied. .
The crab bisque was not edible and I had to send it back. The service was shambles until the very nice manager intervened. A Uber car was arranged at no cost to us.
Very crowded as Mother’s Day meal, to be expected. But ordered lamb with potatoes and veg, no potatoes arrived. When asked, they ya drunk out of potatoes which is why they weren’t on the plate. ?? Had to wait until we finished the meal to receive complimentary fries. Food overall was lovely. Noisy atmosphere and tables close to each other. Manager was very professional and our waitress was lovely.
The service is always on point. The staff are very attentive and welcoming
Wonderful atmosphere and great service! The waiters were very welcoming and patient and the food was very well done. Would 100% recommend for everyone to visit!
Margot was excellent, she gave her personal recommendation on some dishes which she thought were worthy of trying and even checked if custard could be offered with my crumble. She was warm, friendly, and affectionate. A very pleasant lady and I will be sure to return very soon. Zaheer
As always we enjoyed a delicious meal, friendly and helpful staff, we felt very welcome. Thank you.
We have been going to this restaurant for a few years now.Never disappointed. Great food, beautiful presentation, attentive and friendly service. Affordable prices. Everything you would want from a French bistro.
Excellent meal served by a wonderful waitress, evening only spoiled by an over officious and unpleasant manageress.
Excellent food as usual and very welcoming Receptionist. Waiting 'iffy' maybe new, but surely you have a training scheme? It was a busy night, but, One set of cutlery on a table fot two Water brought when we asked, no glasses? Teaspoon for dessert of berries and white chocolate. Cocktails charged for when I had shown the email for Feb offer (removed after request) Had to leave the table to order wine, 5 mins after the Confit arrived. Hopefully this Fawlty Towers experience will improve on next visit. Maybe you need more management?
Nice friendly welcome and good value for money. Staff were attentive despite the restaurant being busy. Ambience good and food served promptly with complimentary water.
I was tempted to arrange a meal out in Hampstead with 3 friends by Côte’s offer of a free Chocolate Mousse dessert. I wasn’t disappointed. One of my guests was a vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised to be provided with a separate extensive vegetarian menu. We tried the Seabass, the Pork Belly and Duck Breast all cooked as we wished. We washed those dishes down with some very drinkable Sancerre. The service throughout was friendly and attentive. I’ll be going back.
What a lovely birthday celebration, made particularly special by your very attentive staff who were really kind, very generous and made us feel really at home. We were really touched and grateful for your wonderful service. Thank you.
Great experience overall. I brought my mum here for Mother’s Day lunch. Warm welcome, friendly and attentive service from our waitress. food came really fast despite restaurant being full. Food was really good too, will definitely be back.
A most enjoyable meal, wines, with attentive but unobtrusive service.
Lovely cooked breakfast. Nice fruit juice and good coffee. Only criticisms were that food could have been hotter and my husband’s poached eggs were overcooked. Service was very good and staff were all very friendly.
We had a terrible meal and service the Hampstead branch today. So much for taking our mother out for a nice lunch. It started off by being told that they had to check with the chef if we could have a soup that was on the mother’s day menu and a main from the al a carte menu. We had to ask for our drinks that we ordered about three times. When the soup arrived it was cold, when a fresh bowl came to us we had no spoons. Now onto the main course, my meal turned up cold, another meal was wrong, another dish that was for a vegetarian turned up with bacon bits in it and another dish turned up when everyone had nearly finished. This was an extremely stressful awful meal and I will not be returning to this restaurant again. They had the cheek to put service on the bill, as if we would pay for that. Money was taken off but that is not the point. A day out that was meant to be special for my mum turned out to be a nightmare. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
