Love Côte. Never fails to please. Miss the Camden branch.
An absolutely lovely lunch date with the added pleasure of lovely staff with perfect service from our waitress! Food is glorious with an atmosphere so friendly & inviting. Great value at great prices. We shall be back!
Rather disappointing as booked on the May offer of complimentary rubarb martini only to find out it’s not available as ran out of rubarb purée. Offered kir royal instead.
Very disappointed with my experience. The service was extremely slow, our waiter was rude and unwilling to accomodate a few specific food requests, & the food was beyond disappointing when it eventually arrived, which was over an hour after we got there... the excuse for the delay being that by exchanging the bacon with some spinach slowed the order down.
Lovely atmosphere and great food as always. The staff are the right side of attentive and always willing to help. Recommend the cocktail of the month - French 75
Lovely surroundings and conveniently situated. Staff are very attentive but not intrusive. There is a varied menu and the food is well cooked. Always a very pleasant experience.
Lovely food and great staff who've been there for some time.
Great food options here and very attentive staff who paid special attention to my brother vegan. They ended up making a special meal for him as he also cannot have beans, lentils or pulses. I am very grateful to them for their help.
The staff were really lovely and the atmosphere was perfect!
The new three courses for 13.50 until 7PM is a real bargain. Starters such as tomato soup or whitebait, mains of minute steak, haddock and others. For dessert we both had iced berries with warm custard sauce. Great wine list and friendly service made it a pleasant evening.
Good, tasty and well-cooked food, bustling yet quiet venue (could barely hear any music and as a result could hear friends talking without shouting), good service and good prices.
Very nice Father's Day lunch - great friendly staff. A favourite.

It was a wonderful brunch after a wedding at Islington Town Hall. The staff were fab and the food was lovely. It's always a pleasure to come to Cote as the standards are really high whichever branch you go to
This was our second visit to your establishment (previously, we were there in March '19 and enjoyed it then) The food, the service, the atmosphere - everything, was on point! My two friends and I have decided to make Côte our meeting place at least 3 times a year! Special mention to the young Italian man who served us - he was kind, friendly, courteous and very efficient. I absolutely love this place. Now - I will recommend it to others but I must hasten to add that I am somewhat reluctant - as I (we) now see it as our place! Well done, and keep up the good work. Praises to your Chef and kitchen staff! From 'Happy Eater'
Always a relaxed atmosphere, excellent for meeting friends., service friendly and good.
Being Coeliac Cote is a god-send. Very tasty, great choices and staff . Very enjoyable
Great food, nice room, superb value, but best of all really lovely staff, I have been going there for years and it is really reliable - never a bad meal or poor service experience. I should keep it a secret, really....
Service was extremely good as usual and the vegetarian menu had an attractive range of options. I had the veggie sausages which I really enjoyed although the saute potatoes were disappointingly overcooked and very dry -not up to the usual quality. The special complimentary rhubarb martini cocktail we had was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. It's definitely worth taking Cote up on their special offers. Only thing that spoilt the experience was the persistent noise but it couldn't be helped; lesson learnt - don't eat early.
Had a fantastic evening with friends - great service and great food. One person had gluten free menu and said it was best ever. Will def go again.
Enjoyed food and excellent value Really helpful and pleasant staff. Pork special deal was actually better than a la carte duck which was a little tough. Really nice bottle of Chardonnay which suited both dishes and gorgeous orange crepe special
I think Cote at Islington is one of my favourites in this chain. Always a warm welcome and friendly service. Today was no different for my friend and I for a rather late lunch which was delicious. French onion soup followed by veal T bone for me and Stilton salad followed by duck for my friend. We even managed a dessert which is most unusual. As always, excellent service from the staff who are cheerful and helpful.
A lovely meal. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken was tender. Great service and we loved the welcome bottle of wine. A lovely ambience.
Excellent Service. Excellent Food. Filet Steak could have been a bit bigger. Ambience great. All the staff in the restaurant are lovely. Will he back again.
Super Mother’s Day lunch - food, service & wine all great and price was reasonable... overall, the formula works well. The kids menu was also very good & portion sizes plenty big enough.
I had booked a table to celebrate my 40th Birthday!! It was so stylish and great! Only complaint would be some people did not get their whole order all at the same time. Other than that we all had an amazing time!! The serving staff were friendly and very helpful!!
Very friendly efficient service from cheerful staff. The specific table we had booked was still Occupied so the manager offered us a drink on the house which showed a touch of class. The food represents exceptional vale for money for a restaurant in central London. George Healy

We had a wonderful waiter Tudor who engaged with my son and the food was fabulous. My son was particularly impressed by his hot chocolate decorating skills!
I love this Islington branch of Cote. It’s one of those few restaurants that really feels like a neighbourhood go-to and whether I’m there for a weekday coffee and pastry, weekend breakfast or lunch with the in-laws there’s a guaranteed warm welcome and good service. Please keep it up and thank you!
Always an enjoyable experience, friendly, relaxed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food always of the best quality.
This is one of the best restaurants in London my also favorite place to eat here in Islington. Prices are very reasonable and the food excellent.
Cost more than i expected Wait between courses was a little long. Staff friendly Nice atmosphere ,, , ,,,,,,, ,,, ,
warm welcome, we wanted to share chateaubriand special but it wasn't available, had a good meal anyway
excellent as always - one of our favourite Cote venues. Food was very good and prompt attentive service. Would strongly recommend the lamb main. Good choice of wines also.
Lovely experience nice atposphere and staff were attentive good quality food - steak is banging!
Great service and always a pleasure coming here. My partner and I love coming to this particular branch the staff are warming and the food is always amazing! Thank you for the Gin it was amazing
As always, we had a delicious meal and the service was fantastic. Thank you
Always enjoy our visit to this Cote. Food and service always impeccable. We enquired if we were entitled to the cocktail offer from Quandoo, unfortunately we weren't, but the lovely manageress offered us complimentary drink on behalf of Cote. Excellent!!
The service was appalling. We had pre-booked, but still had to wait while a table was prepared in a near-deserted restaurant. Nobody came to offer us drinks until 15 mins after we had sat down. We had to get up to replenish our own water bottles despite repeated requests. The bread I ordered never showed up. The Irish coffees we ordered took more than 15 mins to arrive and were stone cold. Probably my worst Cote experience ever! As we were hosting a publishing director from New York, I was mortified. I shall not be returning to this branch as this was my second poor experience there in six months.
Very enjoyable evening an the food was of a high standard . Very pleased that we could here our self hear one another which is not always the case in lots of other restaurants.
As always excellent brood , great value and very nice bottle of wine! We said today,we have never had a bad meal in Cote, food is consistently good whichever Cote we dine in.Having eaten in most of central London's branches and several outside London.
I regularly visit Cote- Islington. As always the food was lovely last night when I was there with two friends, the service was rather slow though unlike past visits & the staff were not as welcoming.
Everything fine. Food delicious and staff attentive. One gripe. Dessert of iced berries poor. Berries sour. White choc sauce tasteless and far too sweet. Otherwise...we’ll be back Don
Always my favourite restaurant around Angel station area. More than decent food at yhe right price in a restaurant of nice decor.
We had a nice time but the service was very poor and the steak we had was very tough
overall a very nice evening. The restaurant has been redecorated recently which makes a difference.
Good varied menu and value for money. Friendly and attentive staff.
Excellent on every level: preparation of main courses, vegetables, sauces, soup, and desserts were all impeccably cooked and presented.
Good food and excellent service as always. A bit noisy though!
Good food at competitive prices. Efficient service. Pleasant ambiance. Deservedly popular.
It was my sons 11th birthday and we brought one of his friends with us who said it was the best meal he ever had! The meal and service was excellent as always thank you
