Utter brilliance. An amazing Chateaubriand, wonderful service and good acoustics.

The food was nice.The restaurant was very busy so there was quite a wait between courses and ordering.

The service was impeccable! The food was amazing. Outstanding! Thank you for making my birthday evening a night to remember.

Breakfast is always good and great value. Staff are always very nice and courteous. I suspected that maybe they were short staffed today (1st February 11:30-12:30), as they were telling people it was a 15 min wait to have orders taken and longer to wait for food, when I would say the restaurant, whilst busy, was certainly not full. Numerous people left. I also had the misfortune to have a chair that had two very sharp pins/studs starting to protrude through the leather, so I swapped chairs and told staff about it.

Wonderful as usual, our favourite place. Would highly recommend it.

Excellent food as always (we have been coming here since it opened) Staff very good. Recent refurb noticeable and also maintained the ambience we like.

My friend's vegan main course of artichokes and beans was very good but sadly my steak frites was dry and overcooked. I sent it back but the steak arrived still overcooked. The manager was very apologetic and offered me an alternative steak from the menu, so I ordered a rib eye. This too was not pleasant to eat. The manager said that it could be a problem with the supplier. The team on duty were very attentive and our waitress seemed very concerned that I hadn't had a great meal. It was nice to see that my meal had been comped and I like to think that the food problem was a one off as I frequent this restaurant often and always have a good meal.

The staff were not rushed off of there feet like in other Cotes and it seemed both the restaurant staff and kitchen staff had enough time to take care of customers well. Good food.

Tried early evening menu, not bad but really doesn’t compare to a la carte, not worth modest savings

The Duck and the two starters were amazing, however the risotto was really bad, worst risotto ever had, anyway the waitress removed it from our bill, so the overall experience was good anyway

We have eaten regularly at Cote and generally enjoy the experience. Good food, excellent service and a friendly environment. On Saturday it was busy, service was slow and we felt the team had forgotten us. I hope normal service will be resumed on our next visit.

Disappointing. A friend on a short visit from Paris was looking forward to your Boeuf Bourguignon but it wasn't available. We ordered Pissaladieres to start with but these too were not available. The manager gave us complementary starters by way of an apology and we had Fougeres. It was a nice gesture but did not make up for the disappointment of finding that 2 dishes we wanted to eat were not available.

Was a bit disappointed that there was no steak available at 6pm on Friday evening. My husband struggled to find something else as he likes plain food. Also, I should have been given the early evening menu at £9.95 which was the online offer, but I was charged £11.95. Not the end of the world, but not the cost I expected.

Food and service very good as always. We had the set lunch menu which was very good value. Both had main of Hachis Parmentier which was a generous portion.

Two of our party ordered Tuna Nicoise. The tuna was seared on the outside and stone cold in the middle. We returned them (after some issues being told this was how it was meant to be) and everyone else had long finished their main course by the time ours arrived and still weren’t great but as going to theatre we didnt have time to pursue further. To be fair the manager removed them from the bill. Unfortunately my young niece, not wanting to make a fuss, did not tell me that her chicken was not cooked through as she would have expected and she woke in the night with dreadful S&D which went on for almost 12 hours and three days later she is still not feeling great.

This was the first time we had visited this particular branch and we were delighted with both the service and the meal. We shall come again!

Clearly there were problems yesterday,...our food was dry and over cooked and side dish late,...first time my partner and I have ever had to complain 🙁

Lovely food, but service very slow, we waited 20 minutes to be even offered a desert menu.

It was busy and we had to ask several times for service but they catered well for my lactose intolerant.

Good,tasty meal for a reasonable price on the table de hote menu in friendly atmosphere.

A little confusion over pricing however a nice restaurant with good selection of menu choices. Service was a little slow and inexperienced.

Always a wonderful place to have dinner as the people working there make the experience so special. Great service & a very happy place to dine.

Front of house representative excellent - everything else average. Sat at the back of the restaurant - overflow section. Asked for one meal served chicken in white wine sauce served chicken and chips but bill came with the more expensive meal charged. Had to adjust the bill.

My beef stroganoff was inedible! The beef was so tough I could not even cut it with a knife. The meat was in lumps rather than the traditional thin strips and while I did not expect fillet steak, I did anticipate some good quality meat. Sadly, that was not the case. However, the waiter persuaded me that I could ask for something else so I opted for the mushroom risotto. This was very pleasant and a nice alternative to my original choice. Service staff were excellent - courteous and professional.
