Good service, excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was conscious of our timing and never tried to rush anything. The sauvignon blanc wine was outstanding.

Slightly protracted booking process-got there in the end. Left hand/right hand scenario. Despite pre ordering, starters were over 30 minutes to arrive. Generally a little too slow in service but good food and an enjoyable evening. Suggest if you want to cater for larger parties then provide a limited menu to improve speed of service. Price inclusive of 12.5%-always a bug-bear, especially on top of drinks, making a £22.95 bottle actually costing £25.80!!

Absolutely amazing service, there were 14 of us and the manager was very helpful and gave us a superb free cocktail for the whole party to celebrate my brother in laws birthday, definitely a 'yes' resturant! ☺

A wonderful , relaxed spotlessly clean place to Dine. As soon as you enter you are welcomed with a warm smile . Myself and partner have dined here many times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food served , always hot and tasty .

Cote was as ever very pleasant and in Lewes the only quality restaurant available. It will always be a first choice in the town. We will come again.

I can’t fault the food always delicious! I actually felt sorry for the staff as they were obviously understaffed and so not able to give us their full attention.

We had a great breakfast- 13 of us on Easter Sunday. Very competent and friendly staff. All the food was served promptly and really well cooked. Clean plates all round! Thanks to Zoltan and the team for accommodating us all. Would thoroughly recommend.

Served by very professional friendly staff, as always by Cote’s. Great atmosphere and a superb, freshly cooked meal. The chocolate mousse and chocolate fondant are strongly recommended.

Good honest (and consistently good in all the Cotes Ive tried) bistro food and a robust Rhone wine. 3 courses for under 20 quid! Whats not to like??

'Proper' restaurant refreshingly free of muzak and other nonsenses. Comfortable, clean, friendly. Food was fine - except the potato extra accompanying the fish dish which was soggy and luke warm and obviously from freezer to micro. Only reliable restaurant in Lewes for people who want a nice meal. The free bottle of (very good) wine was much enjoyed.

Beautiful warm cosy decor and soft lighting. Friendly welcome and very good waitress service. Varied menu. I had french onion soup which was piping hot and very tasty followed by lamb with vegetables, creamy mash and a gorgeous rich sauce. A very enjoyable evening and now my new favourite lewes restaurant. Will definitely be back.

I’m a regular visitor to cote but last two visits service has been disappointingly slow; today we had to wait too long before we found someone who would take our order for a bottle of wine. Restaurant seemed busy at 215; do they have enough staff? Food came quickly and was good but another too long wait and asked two people to bring bill. Felt let down.

Sadly I ordered Haddock for main course which was very dry and the skin couldn't be taken off. It was disappointing as I have had much better fish from you before.

Very good service. The food is of good quality and at a reasonable price. Enjoyed the atmosphere. The idea of free cocktail or free wine is very good. Please continue this.

Only our second visit,but as before we were made very very welcome.The staff are truly wonderful in every way, especially the surprise chorus of *Happy Birthday* for my wife.The food is to die for and I, liking good food ,would be there every day but my waistline could not keep up.Thankyou again for a very very special day As McArthur once said *I will return*

We enjoyed our meal and the venue (Lewes). The service was very good. We started with the enormous chicken liver pate which was very good and some olives. We liked the green olives but didn't like the black ones. The main meals were great, nicely presented and tasty but my husband was a bit disappointed that the crackling on his belly pork was not crackling but rather soggy. We like going to this branch of Cote very much and will definitely be going again. Thanks.

We had a lovely time at Cote last evening. The menu was interesting enough, the food was well prepared and delicious, and the waiters were friendly and efficient. The prices were very fair, and we even scored a free bottle of wine by showing our copy of Viva Lewes.

This Restaurant is my partner and self our favourite . From the time you enter you are made welcome . The food is served fresh , delicious and and hot . The sweets are a must have ! Please try the cocktails Whow !! . Can’t wait to return . ❤️

We had a lovely time at my sisters surprise lunch - food and service were super but however we did have to wait quite a while between courses and although parked for 3 hours we all overstayed our parking!

I Didn't like 12.5% gratuity being added to the bill

After our visit we can only give cote ten out of ten for food and service ,that's why when we decide to dine out on our own or with friends we only choose cote restaurants.

Lovely food, well presented, in a busy and happy atmosphere with friendly staff. We had the lamb rump which was tender, pink and juicy. An excellent evening!

We had a delicious two course meal and especially the gin cocktail which was the special drink of the month. We had brilliant service and there was a relaxed comfortable atmosphere in the restaurant.

Great food and the service was very efficient but I think putting on a service charge of 12.5% on every table especially for a table of two is very naughty

Good food and good service as usual. Mussels a little over cooked seafood linguini was delicious and the apple crumble was lovely. This was overall a lovely lunch in a nice atmosphere.

We had a memorable evening. A nice quiet table in a side room. I tried to order three Kir cocktails as it was my friend's birthday and it was such a lovely surprise when they arrived as complimentary. Each course we had was excellent and we finished with a delicious sorbet and cheese board. The waitress was charming and efficient. Really impressed!
