Table for 4 in the window; plenty of room and not too noisy.

Delicious as usual. Service excellent, well looked after, didn't feel rushed.

Great service & great food & wine. as normal. We had the 3 course special. The fish was excellent. Many thanks to the staff on duty.

Nice ambience; well presented food; attentive service and a real feeling of quality about the whole experience. It is sometime since we have dined at Cote but realised that it is one of the best restaurants in Lincoln and we should go more often.

Location was a bit out of the way for us as we were staying up near the castle which meant a very steep walk down but more of a problem a very steep climb back after a delicious breakfast! The welcome was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We had 1 English and 3 French breakfast and all were deemed well cooked and tasty. Excellent value at just over £10 for a juice, breakfast and warm drink.

Great steak tartare- they should do it as a main course, not just a starter. Service charge was included in our bill and it was more than 10% - quite an unpleasant surprise. We didn’t have the heart to say no and paid it.

Food was fantastic. They added 12% service charge onto the bill, which I would normally refuse to pay but service was very good too. Good

As usual, the quality of the food and the standard of service was excellent. We visit Cote once or twice a month and have always enjoyed the experience.

Absolutely excellent service and food was presented beautifully and tasted crazy. The mussels were probably the best I have had in the UK. 10 out of 10

Another great meal. Three of us chose the mussels, which were delicious, the fourth had apple and Roquefort salad, again very tasty. For our mains, one had the hunter chicken, one the whole Camembert with sour dough bread and salad, and two lamb Parmentier with carrots, all faultless. The desserts although always the same are scrumptious: crème caramel, apple crumble and ice cream, chocolate pot and chocolate mousse were our different choices. Very good service and a lovely ambience.

Service and food were excellent, apart from the delay in serving our desert, for which we had to wait over 20 minutes - apparently there was a shift change and it fell down a black hole. Only four of us, so not overly impressed with the fairly hefty service charge added automatically to our bill - which was removed at our request... Spoilt an otherwise lovely meal...

Very good value particularly with the pre 7pm menu. Efficient and friendly service despite the restaurant being busy with large Christmas groups. It's refreshing to see someone doing something so well,

The ambience was good and the food was ok but the service was pretty poor. It seemed like a bunch of young people had been left in charge and the lack of leadership and customer focus was evident.

Welcome,waiting staff excellent and food good apart from pudding which was disappointing. Both the apple crumble and the chocolate pot. Good value and lovely ambience

Brilliant as always . Staff welcoming and helpful . Happy to advice and us to sample the house wine . Only fault is that the bays are not great for more than four . Rather snug to alow free movement.

Excellent quality, excellent value and excellent service as always. I think this is currently Lincoln's best eaterie for quality and value and would not hesitate to recommend

Excellent service, food came out in good time and tasted great. Waiter was attentive and would highly recommend for the price. English or French breakfast with hot or cold drink £10.50!

Excellent service. Quality and presentation of the food was first class. A very enjoyable evening. It was our first visit to this restaurant and as it was my birthday I decided French cuisine for the night.

Lovely food, good service and nice atmosphere as per usual. The bill however was wrong, two bottles of wine charged and we only had one. It was soon rectified, but I do think 12/5 % service charge is too high.

Enjoyed the meal except for the carrots which were rock hard!! Everything else was great. Would visit again but would opt for a different side order.

Lovely food in very pleasant surroundings served by very pleasant staff. We all had something different from the varied menus, all enjoyed. I would recommend and will visit again sometime soon.

Food was nice. However, there were various items missing from the menu. We also ordered a bottle of wine which took 15-20 minutes to come to the table as it wasn't chilled. Staff seemed disorganised.

Love Cote been loads. Had first bad dish. Mushroom Brioche was luke warm and virtually no mushrooms. Didn’t fuss as with friends. Won’t have again.

My friend and I received good service from the staff at Lincoln and we enjoyed the food. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing Food and Amazing Service.. Only thing was - we ordered a bottle of wine and we didn't realise the deal included a bottle of prosecco for every 4 people so we had too much drink. If we had of known we wouldn't of ordered bottle of wine to start.

Lovely food, lovely service. A very enjoyable experience. This is not the first time I have dined here and have yet to be let down.

The restaurant had a lively feel about it and friendly, helpful staff. There is a good menu choice, especially the gluten free menu, which a member of the party praised as the best choice she had ever had when out for a meal. The food was excellent, the crepes on the special menu went down very well,as did the lemon tart. We have been to many Cote restaurants around the country, Lincoln being our favourite, and have never been disappointed.

Top service, perfectly cooked food and decent meal sizes. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as it was private but friendly. Can't wait to go again. One of the best restaurants in Lincoln.

Check your bill. large 12.5% tip already included . So you have to be embarrassed to pay less. Misleading website: 2/3 course meal deal not available at weekends. No mussels available on my visit

Fantastic night, lovely food to a high standard. Attentive staff and quick service. Wonderful! I am a regular at Cote Brasserie and I am always impressed. This visit was no different. I went with a work colleague and she thought it was wonderful too and would like to go back. 10 out of 10 for me.

Although the restaurant wasn't full, the service was very slow and very poor. W had to try to attract the servers attention on several occasions. He didn't appear to be well trained or very attentive. The food was only average and not very hot. The prawn starter did not have the croutons as stated on the menu and when this was pointed out, the server agreed this was an omission but did not do anything about it. Two of us had the fish parmentier which was very watery and not as big as expected for a main course. The cost of the meal was very expensive for the quality of the food or the service. Also, gratuities are automatically added to the bill, which on this occasion were definitely not merited. I would not return to this restaurant.

Always enjoy visit to Cote Lincoln: good value food, lovely wine (very often the special is the one to go for) and without fail the staff are friendly, fun and efficient.
