Côte Lincoln

This was a planned visit, using the train rather than driving, do that we could both relax and enjoy a glass of wine with our meal. As usual in Cote the service and the food were both excellent. We use Cote everywhere we go whenever possible, as we know we will leave very contented.

Service was very slow and some of the food was not very hot. However, the overall experience was still good. I love the three course menu that changes each month and it is very good value. of

Food great as always, service excellent and really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend eating in any cote restaurant, we have been to Lincoln and Covent Garden cote, never disappointed.

A bit of a disappointing evening to be honest. The service was quite lax (they forgot to bring drinks to our tables twice) and the food wasn’t amazing. It’s the first below average meal that we’ve had there so i am not writing it off. Hopefully it’ll be better next time

Very lovely experience. Thevservice was good. The atmosphere was just right. The food was fabulous. Not over priced either. We will definitely go back and would recommend to friends

I always enjoy the experience at Lincoln cote, the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and as always the food was delicious and staff friendly.

Great friendly and helpful staff. Good wine and our food was delicious. We both had prawn gratinee to start and I had beef in red wine and my friend had the sea bass both really lovely. We will be regular visitors.

The service was great but my main course wasn't and the waiter agreed and took it back to the kitchen. It took a while to come back but was hot and delicious.

I always enjoy cote brasserie and this visit was no exception. The food was lovely and the service attentive but no over bearing. The cote de Boef was delicious as was the starters we chose. Recommended.

Food was good enough! But service was shocking!!! ... after being seated and given menus we had to ask to order (which included our drinks order) as we were not asked about this at the beginning?!? .. ordering was fairly challenging in itself with minimum to no eye contact from staff??? .. Food was received, but no one then ‘checked in’ at ANY point to ensure that we were enjoying our food or needed anything else? (It wasn’t busy and plenty of staff) Food was pleasant but without the customer service .. what’s the point! Also a bit cheeky considering gratitude is AUTOMATICALLY put on your tab for you! ... More training needed for staff, and personality always an advantage but not something we experienced at all! (I work in hospitality these points would be an absolute minimum requirement for me)

E sure she was I thought one of the members od staff was really nice as we had a disabled person and he went out of his way to make sure she was looked after.

Lovely efficient friendly service. The chicken was cooked to perfection and tasty. Absolutely no complaints. The prices are affordable quality which is why we keep coming back.

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value. I have eaten at Cote on quite few occasions and have never had a disappointing meal. Has to be among the best places to eat in lincoln

Warm, friendly service and excellent food, made even better with a complimentary bottle of sauvignon blanc!! Looking forward to another return visit soon. Good menu selection including monthly specials.

very pleasant meal. Unfortunately the wine we ordered and Grand Marnier had sold out and they were awaiting a delivery tomorrow. However the substitutes given were satisfactory

Food was really nice and great quality. But service was slow and they knew we had theatre tickets. Nearly missed the start of the performance.

Great venue & lovely table for 2. Richard the manager was great. Our plates were cold which made our food cold on the plate - Richard explained that they don’t have the space in the kitchen to warm plates but would do this in future us on request. The wine list was a little disappointing as we would have liked to have had a Malbec or Shiraz with our dinner. We went for a rose which was not good - we had to add lemonade to make it palatable.

I have never had a bad meal at Cote and it is the first place we choose when planning to eat out. i would particularly like to commend the efficiency,courtesy and humour displayed by manager David ? at the Lincoln restaurant,which makes a visit more enjoyable.

The food was lovely, but service was extremely rushed to the point where we didn't feel all too welcome. They were training new staff on the evening but we didn't feel particularly cared for or valued as customers. As I had chosen this specific restaurant to celebrate my birthday, I wasn't overly impressed.

Another visit and another very enjoyable meal and experience. Super service, great atmosphere and, most important of all, beautifully cooked and tasty food. We will be going again.

Really good meal with excellent friendly service. Different choice of food from other chain restaurants. Unfortunately, I think the drinks, in our case wine , is overpriced.

There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals which were very tasty. The service were very good; an enjoyable evening in pleasant surroundings. Excellent coffee. We will return

Large well designed restaurant, though on 1st floor so from the street it looks empty. Pleasant service from the staff and the food came quickly. Food made a nice change from the usual chain restaurants like Zizzi and it's certainly miles better than Cafe Rouge. Would go again.

Service was good, unfortunately the rib eye steak was very poor quality, and the chicken was a bit boring , but the waiting staff did try hard and the Chablis was very nice

Good surroundings, friendly staff, good food but at the age of 80 it was a bit of a climb to the toilets on the 2nd floor.

Arriving at 3pm the restaurant was all but deserted, but the food was great and the service attentive. Nicely situated at the bottom of Steep Hill.

Went for a birthday meal - excellent experience, good food, the staff were attentive but not pushy, and we got a free birthday drink! The atmosphere was perfect for us. We've been to Cote before, and we'll definitely go there again.

looking forward to a brunch treat with our son, however a wrong order and a partly cold meal, though very promptly dealt with and instantly discounted from the bill, took the shine off. food was good when we got the right order.

Tasty meal, served by attentive and efficient staff who looked after us well without being too fussy. Food and drink arrived in good time and price was competitive

Very nice meal in a nice setting. Quite a varied menu with some lovely dishes. Just the right size portions. Waiters friendly and efficient but the only thing I didn't like was a 12% service charge added to our bill. We did ask to have it removed but it makes you feel a bit awkward in doing this. We prefer to tip ourselves

Nearly all to standard , but had to pour our own wine and had to summon waiter each time we needed service, Waiters need training to keep eyes open while in restaurant.

Food very nice but portion size could be a bit bigger . Staff very friendly and efficient would definitely go there again . Need the lemon tart again

Excellent food and service to match, only downside (and I'm nitpicking) was the optional service charge of 12½% being added to the bill, however, we shall return!

Very enjoyable evening, great atmosphere, no annoying music, brilliant food and price. I recommend cote Lincoln, we are regular customers, consistently good service and friendly staff.

Poor experience. Very slow service, staff not perform, delivered wrong starters to wrong customers twice, food not up to normal Cote standard. Cannot recommend Cote Lincoln at all.
