Another wonderful, relaxed and convivial lunch at our favourite watering hole. Good food and lovely people. We will be back.

Excellent food & service. Given complimentary glasses of Kier Royal as it was a triple Birthday celebration. Server was attentive, amusing and professional.

We had a very enjoyable meal for our granddaughters 21 st Birthday Sunday the staff were very nice .

Food was excellent as always but the service was a bit slower than usual and less attentive than we have experienced in the past.

The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent and we were not rushed. Most of our food was deliciously fresh tasting, well seasoned and tasty. Our only disappointment was a very cold crepe which was supposed to be warm but it was taken off our bill as soon as we mentioned it. It wont prevent us from returning.

The food was enjoyable but the manager was quite rude.

Although I had booked our table through an e mail link offering an early supper at a discounted price , this was not included in my bill and I had to ask for this to be adjusted . My starter -pear and endive salad was missing its goats cheese and I had to ask for this to be corrected -this was dealt with promptly but I feel that in combination with the oversight on the bill this showed a lack of care that wasn't really acceptable.

Ran out of the starter I chose, but good alternative provides. Great service as ever. Look forward to our next visit,

A warm welcome followed by friendly attentive service, the food was delicious and the wine was to die for, this is one of favourite restaurants when we want to treat ourselves.

We had a lovely evening - the food was excellent, the staff attentive and very pleasant, the ambience warm and welcoming. Pleasantly surprised too by the bill - four covers, 2 bottles of an excellent house red, plus various other drinks; starters all round, four main courses from the a la carte menu, coffees - £150 including optional service charge (which I hope the staff receive). We've been 3 or 4 times to this Cote and it's been better each time.

Always good, Blood orange salad although very good. Should be offered as Orange salad (Not blood)

The food as always was excellent. The service very good and the staff very pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately there was a large table of very loud men, so quite noisy.

As always the Côte was almost perfect in Newbury and the complementary drink added to the enjoyment. The upper area gave a much reduced noise level.

Tried the early evening set menu as it was on offer for £9.99 for two courses and it was excellent. Both our starters and main courses were lovely and were big enough that we did not feel like a pudding. It was busy given the tie of year but service was still great.

Great food, fab service, staff notice if you might need something without being asked. The only place to eat in Newbury.

Although Cote was busy, the service throughout was spot on; good food, a smile and chat all added to a most enjoyable evening

As usual very pleasant though you were very busy. One thing that does bug me: when one of your waiters comes up and asks if every thing is ok: if it were not I would have called to someone to say so. regards david

Great service and the breakfast complete was very nice indeed.

Very disappointing. The Pissaladière I order took ages to arrive and was then completely over cooked, half way through eating that 2 of our 3 main courses arrived. The waiter/manager had failed to order my sons main course. He then promised to take it off the bill but when the bill arrived it was still on there. We chose not to pay the “optional” 12.5% service charge that was also on the bill.

We love to visit Cote Brassiere in Newbury, but this time we weren’t happy!

We enjoyed our dinner. One of us is coeliac so lovely to have choices that are delicious. Service was great, staff kind and helpful. Atmosphere good.

Always a great meal , could be a little quicker on the service , but as we were not in a rush it was acceptable.

Arrived 15 minutes early but were shown to a table right away. Polite, attentive, welcoming staff, delicious food, good wine. Always a top contender when considering a meal out.

One star if that! 9.95 menu not available as after 7 but why did it let me book and more importantly why did it say on my confirmation I could have this menu. We left and did not eat, second time voucher conditions not clear. Manager very keen to try and sort issue but sadly will be warming one and all that your promotional practices are disingenuous and to stay well clear, it’s a very fast run to the bottom if u don’t treat customers well especially in this way. Poor show!

As always the quality of the food & the service were excellent, never disappoints. Although a little disappointed that the crumble is no longer on the 11.95 option, only the prestige menu.

A most delicious three course meal with complimentary wine and with very good service

Waitress argued with me about the free bottle of wine offered (I had a party of four). She said it was only available if I ordered from the a la carte menu (as I previously had experienced) but in this case it wasn't specified in the ad. After she didn't believe me, she went to check on-line and turned up with the wine, then tried to charge me £22.50 for it on the bill!!! Got it put right in the end. Not the best experience I have had here - and there have been many, but not so many from now on.

A much better experience than the last time, when we ended up walking out having waited over 1/2hr for someone to take our order.

Service was not as good as usual, but we did book last minute in New Year's Day. Food was as tasty as ever and the issues were ironed out on the bill
