Upstairs table; atmosphere and noise level great, excellent service, lovely food. All in all a great experience.

The meal we were served was not hot, it was replaced but this was just about warm. There was no service recovery. It was not the standard of service normally experienced at this restaurant.

Having eaten at Cote on many occasions through the year it was the perfect choice to welcome 2020 ,after a smooth change of table we all enjoyed the most perfect evening.As always the staff are super friendly and there was a great atmosphere throughout the restaurant, for a very busy sitting both the food and service were superb our waitress was very attentive throughout the evening. We are very lucky to have such a great Cote Brassiere in Newbury

Great meal, great value for money. Only negatives were: I had to wait for the chips to go with my prawns, and there was a fairly rowdy table nearby.

It was busy but the food arrived promptly and was delicious. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and a lovely family lunchtime. The kids menu was very good value. Clear plates from 3 kids! Staff were very friendly - would recommend to all.

Booked online shortly before arrival and showed up on the system, good sign. Offered a choice of tables, menus and water supplied immediately. Aperos and olives delivered promptly while choosing what to have. Service was attentive and friendly. Mains were delicious. Our favourite eatery in Newbury

Not impress by the Full English and service could have been quicker

Thought we’d give it another go as we’d had an awful meal there saying we would go again This was so disappointing the staff are okay friendly but I still felt the menu was thrown at as. The waiter forgot our olives which has happened before. I ordered a medium rare fillet steak which actually was medium ( I had the duck last time which was just warm) I did say to the staff when asked they were very attentive in what I was saying and gave me a free dessert. This could be So much more it’s a few days before Xmas it should rammed. Please make it a french experience...... Go and look at a Brassiere in France it’s not rocket science get the staff to talk to customers properly.

Always been really please with Côte Newbury but today 6 of us joined you for breakfast and we were disappointed. The service was incredibly slow for breakfast, I think our meal had been forgotten about and when it arrived at the table, 2 of the 6 meals were cold!

Friendly service, but could be slightly more visible. Food was very nice, could have been hotter.

A very good meal served piping hot not like it is at some restaurants. Have eaten here before and will do so again.

We visited for brunch on Christmas Eve. The experience was excellent from start to finish. We all had a ‘formule’ breakfast. Each was well cooked and well presented. Coffees were good ( better than usual). We were a family group including one very elderly lady ( in her 90s) with mobility issues. All the staff were kind and friendly but our ‘meet and greet’ hostess stood out by instantly seeing the need for a table on entry level and by taking the lady by the arm and helping her to the table in the kindest way imaginable. Definitely service ‘above and beyond’ the norm.

We always enjoy a visit to Cotes. The god and service are always excellent.

What a lovely meal. We were given a window seat as requested and were served straight away with drinks. We chose are food and after a short while, time enough to have a drink, the first course arrived. We were given plenty of time to enjoy the food before the next course arrived. The staff were very attentive but we didn't feel rushed. Overall a very delightful experience.

We booked for Christmas eve thinking it would be a great day to start celebrations. The food we ate from the Christmas menu was absolutely lovely. The reason for a middling review? Not one Christmas decoration inside the restaurant...no Christmas cracker...and no Christmas cheer until we left and were wished a merry Christmas. The waitress was totally disengaged with us. Such a shame. One of our party is alone on Christmas day so this was her only 'event'. We would go back for the food but not do a Christmas or special event again.

We booked online as a family of 4, we arrived at the restaurant and was seated at really small round table near some busy stairs, although the food was good and wine good, I felt the table we were seated at was more suited to a table if 2 or 3 max and we’re constantly shuffling glasses and plates so that we had enough room. A little more attention to detail is needed here.

The only thing we did not like was we were not given the lunch time menu,we had to ask for it

Always a good evening with excellent food good service and a nice ambiance. Friendly staff make the evening enjoyable. Prices competitive and good to see gratuities included. Breakfast is also to be recommended. Regards Alan

A really lovely meal at Cote today. We chose from the Christmas menu and everything was beautifully cooked and really delicious. A nice table with comfortable seating, nice linen and cutlery etc and the service was excellent. Couldn’t fault it, just brilliant and excellent value.

Excellent food and great customer service as always. We always have a great experience at Cote Newbury, the staff are really great. On this occasion, we phoned in advance to make sure we could have the dish we wanted, and this was no bother at all.

We go quite regularly to Cote in Newbury and, as yet, have never been disappointed. Staff always welcoming, friendly and efficient and the breakfast is delicious.

service run seamlessly - considering we had 28 people in our party - all food came out in a timely manner, was correct and tasted delicious. only thing I would say - seating layout wasn't great to speak to everyone, should of put in a 'L' or 'U' shape instead of 2 long separate tables
