Brilliant atmosphere, great food and very accommodating staff, I couldn’t fault anything, I would definitely go back.

The staff went "above and beyond" to produce pain perdu for my wife. My cheese board came as baked camembert, still enjoyable, but not what had been ordered. Service, even after the midday rush had quietened proved rathe slow.

The overall experience wasn't great. The food was lovely, but the service was quite shocking. We were there almost 2 and a half hours, which isn't great considering we pre-ordered our food. We also had to wait a while for one of the final meals to arrive. The delay in between courses wasn't good at all. Also, one of the servants was extremely rude to myself which I'm unimpressed by.

Great place to celebrate our friend’s birthday, the staff were super friendly and caring too.

We love this restaurant and always choose to to celebrate. This time it was to celebrate our engagement and the staff made the meal so special. We were treated to a bottle of champagne which was completely unexpected. The food was fantastic and the staff were flawless as always.

Meal was ok but the fact one of us had a nut allergy seemed to cause an issue for the waiter who had to call the Manager to deal with us. Guess it’s poor staff training but left us very concerned why all staff weren’t familiar with food allergies. You can’t tell from just looking at the plate if it contains nuts but they seemed to be under the illusion they could! Luckily the manager knew which food had nuts in and reassured us a bit. Sorry but I don’t think we will come back.

Nice food,but the service was incredably slow,which is unusual.we had to wait 30 minutes for our food to arrive and the wzitress looked miserable.

We always enjoy eating with you though the last couple of times we were disappointed with the steaks. They used to be excellent now they are mediocre at best, a bit tougher and less tasty. This means we will reduce our visits and try alternative restaurants some of the times.

lovely meal, thank you, food good, my meal wasn't something I would normally have, but it was nice. I chose from the vegan menu which I had to ask for, took me a while to realise this. Perhaps going forward offering a vegan menu would probably work easier for all. If it's already on the table, would save the waiter having to bring menu over. Just a hint. Noise level was quite high, it wasn't a quiet dinner, however, it was lovely and will definitely go again.

We have had many lovely evenings at Cote but last night wasn’t one of them! Unfortunately we were seated next to a party of at least 20 people obviously a Christmas party get together . We were with two friends getting together for our annual Christmas supper and we could not have a conversation without shouting. We accept that Restaurants will host parties at this time of year but please consider your other loyal customers.

Efficient from booking to enjoying a lovely evening. The service was professional and impeccable without being intrusive at all. The food was of the best quality too and we really did enjoy the meal. However they train their staff it really works and leave a lot of other establishments sadly lacking, it really does make a difference. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

No complaints with the food at all ,service was disappointing 8 of us dining sadly 2 mains came several minutes later than other 6 meals.Also friends ordered from your special menu the Chateaubriande which was unavailable.We also had the last available fillet steak and this was at 5pm on Saturday evening!

A lovely meal as always. The only think that wasn’t perfect was the service was al little ‘hit and miss’. However that will not put us off going again.

I am normally extremely critical when eating out, much the irritation of my wife. However, the meal last night was beyond expectations. Well done to all the staff.

Really good! Friendly accommodating staff, yummy food (crepe complete for brunch, yum!) and nice setting - the booths are great and plenty of room for buggy and baby too. Great morning, thank you Cote Newbury! :)

Took 50 minutes to bring any food. Waitress was as grumpy as hell and made us feel we were an unfortunate inconvenience in her day. Not a great advert to make you feel welcome and want to go back. Food, when it eventually came was ok though and good value for money but undermined by the service
