Not great. Not enough staff on for Mother's day. Coffee's took ages - at the end of the brunch we asked if we could order more coffee's and were told 'You can yes but it will be at least a 30 minute wait as our coffee machine isn't fast enough to accommodate 300 covers' - unfortunately this isn't our fault that your machine cannot accommodate a busy morning! - we were pretty much told not to order coffees. Asked for the bill multiple times as everyone seemed too busy to help. We come to Cote quite often for brunch but this was not good and has made us question if we should continue to come back as we didn't feel welcomed atall

Nice food and service was good until the restaurant got very loud and busy. We then felt forgotten and nobody asked us if we wanted sweets or drinks, so we paid and left.

The staff were very attentive and looked after us very well throughout the evening. We did not have to wait for very long for drinks and our food order was prompt as well, Food was fresh ( walnut and Roquefort salad was crisp and not limp) and full of flavour. My main meal was the fish parmentier which was hot and full of various fish and prawns - delicious. Thank you

Excellent service and food as has been the case for the majority of our visits both to this location and others. We are always pleased that we are not rushed by the staff who are polite and accommodating.

Generally we had a very good time lunchtime today. We were left alone, and were not hurried - but at times we had to call for attention! Nevertheless, the actual food was up to your usual high standard, and was enjoyed by all five of us. We always think of you for that " little bit special " occasion.

Decided to have breakfast at Cote’s to celebrate Fathers Day. It was busy so the service was a little slow but food was perfect and the staff very attentive. Will definitely do it again.

Having been here many times our last visit was disappointing. Very glad to say that all is back to normal. Excellent service and food. Great value for money. All in all a great evening.

Always a pleasurable experience dining at Cote Newbury. Welcoming, friendly, helpful staff ensure we have a lovely meal in comfortable surroundings. The quality and choice of food is consistantly good value. The offer of complimentary rhubarb cocktails with our lunch were delicious, and much appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their choices without exception.

Where do we start...supposed to be a nice mothers day meal. Waited 15 mins for waiter to take order. It had been a busy day so some food had run out from mains which was no problem but also no flatbread we found the found out. Then no flute glasses for kir- which was flat when it eventually arrived in wine glasses and we ordered kir / kir royale but were same. One of our breads arrived virtually thrown in table, but no plates. I raised issues with front desk and other bread arrived with main courses- which were actually good. We didn't order anything else no adjustment to bill and should not have paid the 12.5% tip but felt for cooks, which were let down by front of house. We wont be back anytime soon and have plenty other options locally. On and out in under and hour, not a memorable experience

Excellent lunch today, treated my husband to lunch, very busy but well looked after. The only little glitch was that I had ask and wait for gf bread to accompany the soup and again cheese but other than that everything was very good.

Party of 6 and the service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. The food was also fabulous, plenty of it and it was delicious. No complaints from anyone. Will defiantly be returning.

The set lunch menu is excellent offering good choices. Newbury is a good town for a day out and Cote is in a great position on the main street. Staff are pleasant.

Food was great as always but service wasn’t great. Felt like we were forgotten about and had to get up and ask for service a couple of times, it wasn’t even busy. Then had the optional service charge added without us saying which was quite cheeky.

Our group being told you have a wedding for 48 upstairs should not make any difference to our experience. Next time I hope you employ additional staff and make sure the kitchen can cope.

I had a lovely time at Côte for my birthday celebration. The service was good, having pre-ordered our food, and the staff were very friendly and kind. The only thing is, I called ahead to let them know that we were running slightly late, and they seemed to believe that some of my party were already seated (they had given our table away). However, when we arrived, they had another table set up for us and we were offered drinks shortly afterwards.

Lovely service. Poulet grille slightly over cooked but otherwise very nice food. Love the praline crepe, always good value for money! Great location in central newbiry

Every thing about this evenings meal was just perfect with a warm welcome, great service, absolutely terrific food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Just right for the celebration family meal for my daughters 21st birthday and great value for money. We continue to go to Cote regularly because we know that it is the best. Well done to all the staff.

Bustling restaurant, with excellent food. Centrally placed in Newbury. Wide choice of food available, all beautifully cooked and we'll presented. Busy staff very efficient. When very busy the restaurant is a bit noisy, would benefit from some sound dampening.

Complimentary cocktail looked amazing. Tasted ok/average - would not pay for one though. Cote were very accommodating as I’d booked and cancelled tables to get the offer!! Lovely lady on reception - very chatty and welcoming. Service at table was very slow. Took quite a while to get water, drinks and to be asked our food other. We did pay device charge...but regrettably. Reception service great...but table service poor. On reflection we shouldn’t have paid this ‘added on’ charge. Don’t like the fact it’s automatically added to the bill. Love your salmon starts! Lamb chops were great too. Your food never disappoints.

A great lunch, just a few mistakes like no side plate for bread, then orange juice instead of apple, we were also charged for the ‘complimentary’ martinis after showing my email but all sorted quickly, the duck was excellent too. We’ll be back.
