Lovely warm welcome- I visited with my 2 sons in tow. It was busy, Fathers Day!! Busy atmosphere and some pretty poorly behaved kids using tables and chairs as climbing frames!!! Staff maintained their humour (a bit more than me anyhow!!) Service was swift and the food spot on. Thank you

As this was a Family Easter Celebration which also incorporated a Birthday & belated Mother's Day celebrations it was made extra special with the Complimentary Easter 75 cocktail. Food was good, and enjoy the interiors. One waiter who advised me which wine to choose to go with my meal was lovely. And food tasted good. However, our waitress did not go out of her way to be helpful or happy. I had seen an offer for a drink which I fancied which lead us to booking there but it took her ages to then tell us that I had to order from a specific menu to get it...information which would have been helpful to start with. Deserts were horrible. The children wanted both vanilla and strawberry ice cream but they would only allow them one scoop each so I suggested they have one each and share. The waitress said not to worry about that and she can sort it....when receiving the bill it turns out her way of sorting it was to charge us a further £4.50 for two more scoops of ice cream. Not a good deal when you’ve only spent £6.95 for their whole child’s meal. My husbands wine was £9.95 per glass which seems a bit pricey for Cote. And lastly, I was surprised at the waitress expressing her complete distaste for children by saying ‘I’m noones babysitter at work’....clearly we hadn’t asked her to babysit but she was explaining how she doesn’t like children there. Strange thing to tell parents visiting with their young children. I didn’t feel comfortable complaining after the meal, but she should receive some training or perhaps even she’s in the wrong job!

Considering it was the evening of the "Lock-down", everyone at Cotes was working hard to make our evening and our meal just fine for us. Lovely staff! Feel so sorry for their very uncertain future.

I always find cote a very friendly value for money restaurant however the only crtitism I have is the 12.5 %gratuity charge which is already added to your bill ? I feel the customer should have the right to decide ? I look forward to hearing from you the food is always excellent

I booked to have lunch with a friend. The staff as always, were lovely. But what a disappointment the food was and certainly not what I have come to expect from Cotes. Please do better. This is my go-to restaurant and it’s the second disappointing experience in two months.

Hi All, We had an excellent meal on Friday evening. 3 adults and 3 kids, you were kind enough to squeeze us in and we didn't mind moving tables for dessert. We found all of the staff attentive, polite and quick. it was busy but the level of Service didn't suffer. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The price wasn't ridiculous either, so all in all I would say you guys nailed it. Brilliant - well done. Wish Patricia good luck, as I think it was one of her first nights...she did fine.

Fantastic meal out for my Mum's 60th birthday. Staff were really helpful. Very quickly rearranged tables to accommodate my sister in law in a wheelchair. Great service all night from a new member of staff. Food was delicious but the white wine could have been chilled further before serving. A lovely evening for all of us.

Excellent service, pleasant atmosphere and always wonderful food. The best UK restaurant chain bar none. Monthly specials menu adds interest to an overall extensive a la carts choice. Whether it’s Marlow, Oxford or Newbury the quality of food is always great. Cannot wait for the newly announced Henley brasserie to open shortly! G.

I had the moules frites, they were the size of cockles, never seen such a small ones in my life! It was the rapide menu, but it was not very rapide! Unusual as normally everything is tip top.
