Good food and excellent service. A pleasant location friendly atmosphere.

Food all delicious, staff friendly and efficient. Service quick. Only issue was that my glass of champagne was flat, however was quickly replaced. Overall very good .

An interesting and diverse menu, including a good value prix fixe (although we chose from the a la carte, as one of the February specials was swordfish steak). Very good food quality and presentation, discreet and friendly service, comfortable ambience, well matched wine list, including by the glass. It wouldn't do any harm to offer 125ml glasses in addition to the 175ml and 250ml volumes. Our only negative is the inclusion in the bill of an optional 12.5% gratuity. Regrettably this is a very common tactic by restaurants these days and you need to be quite a robust personality to challenge it. The bill did not mention this sum being shared amongst the workforce, so one suspects this is simply a profit booster that requires no effort by management. It takes the shine off an otherwise very pleasant dining experience.

Excellent vegetarian food and well chosen above average French wine at a reasonable price. Friendly and efficient staff made this an all round enjoyable experience. Will go again soon!

Great place to go for any occasion. Food is always delicious, staff are always friendly and super helpful. It’s one of the very few restaurants I go to and always feel satisfied with the entire experience!

Excellent tasty food and service impeccable. We were sat in a booth which although intimate also shared the ambiance of the other diners. Timing of food was spot on. One of our main restaurants we use for special occasions as we know they deliver. Thank you.

Lovely brunch on a Saturday morning but was I very disappointed that the spinach on the vegetarian breakfast hadn’t been washed as it was full of grit! It was the only bad thing on all of the meals purchased.

I bought this treat for my family and my goodness did I score a hit. After close scrutiny of the menu several choices were made, first class was the decision by all. Well done to a super efficient staff and wonderful food.

The Cote experience never fails. Very obliging staff, ex cuisine and smashing ambience. Even Guide Dog Katie remembers her previous times and just loves certain members of staff.

We eat at Cote in Newcastle quite a lot and it seems to get better each visit. Having used Cote in other locations including St Martins Lane the Newcastle property is as god as we have experienced.

First time visiting restaurant and was really impressed with the quality of food and choice of food was good. I follow a gluten free diet and the gluten free menu that is available is also really good, plenty of choice and a good balance of meals available. This was the first visit with a group of friends and would highly recommend this restaurant and would visit again in the future.

We enjoyed an excellent meal, beautifully cooked and presented. The service was excellent. A most enjoyable evening. We have never been disappointed with a meal at Côtés Brasserie, and this was no exception.

COTE Newcastle was our 8th meal at COTE since we discovered it in Exeter and it did not disappoint. The service,staff, ambience and of course the food could not be faulted.

The Côte restaurant in Newcastle is in a good location. The layout of the tables gives the restaurant a warm, cosy,feel and boosts that typical French atmosphere. Service was friendly but a little disjointed. The food was superb. It always is in a Côte Brassiere.

Food beautiful and always so fresh. I had the Fish Parmetier and my husband had rib eye steak. Both were cooked to perfection. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Love it there.

We had an excellent cocktail to start, followed by french blackpudding with a poached egg which was full of flavoure. The comfit duck leg was delicious, crispy skin and the meat fell off the bone.An excellent meal

Your service was rubbish. We booked in advance but still had to wait some time to be seated. There was absolutely no eye contact from any of the staff only when he eventually came to take or order was any interaction. It appeared to us that the staff were totally disinterested in the customers. The meal was served, then the desert with not a single word from the server. If we had wanted a coffee, I believe we would have still be waiting! Also, why serve hot food on cold plates?

Excellent food. We were a party of 4 and everyone agreed , excellent food and nice staff, we will be back. Look forward to our next visit soon.

Valentines Booking 14th Feb. Excelleng value for money at £38.95 with wine pairing & kir royal each . First time visited & certainly won’t be the last. My husband said it was the best pate he’d ever tasted. The french onion soup was lovely and the sharing desert platter was very moorish
