Food was good; atmosphere and service are far better than at other Côtes (Barbican).
Been to other branches but first time here. Comfortable and relaxed room but draughty - we had to ask for the door to be closed. Food standard Cote fare: good chicken liver parfait, poulet grille tasty but not very hot and the portion size of the potato seems to carry on shrinking. The creme caramel lovely as always. No deal on offer so seemed a bit pricey overall. Staff sweet but service very slow.
Good location in the railway arches on southbank. Standard core fare which is always good and something for all ages. Staff of seemingly all London chains slightly undertrained , careless and overstretched. But overall not bad and a reasonable price.
Really good food and service, it would have been 6 stars but there was a slight glitch with our desert order. Loved the complimentary ruhbarb martinis.
Very good food and service! It was a bit loud but it was Saturday afternoon so I suppose it was to be expected. Consistently good food.
This branch is always busy but it feels quite stressful and chaotic. It was the same on a previous occasion. The waiters are pleasant and efficient but it was a long wait and I had to leave half my food to rush off as I was performing in a concert at the Festival Hall. The manager is rather offhand and unwelcoming . It doesn’t compare with other Cote Branches unfortunately.
Extremely good as usual apart from the fact that my companion's goats cheese salad had huge chunks of vegetables which marred her enjoyment.
Really enjoyed as every time me and my girlfriend we visit ćote good food good servise.
Exactly what we wanted. Charming staff. Delicious blood orange martini. I should have ordered dressing on side for salad. Lunch time so pleased busy but not noisy
Difficult to find using iPhone maps and your booking service couldn’t help ‘because they aren’t based in London’
The service was a little bit too slow tonight which meant we sadly missed the play we were due to see tonight which was a shame.
Well looked after by the attentive staff, well fed with interesting and enjoyable selections. Just what we wanted in proximity to the Royal Festival Hall with a most pleasant ambience.
Food was good and waiters did their best but problems in kitchens meant both courses woefully slow in arriving. Unusually sub standard for Côte. Needs investigating
Thoroughly enjoyed as always - efficient service, lovely food at a very good price.
Everything worked near perfectly, in spite of the million person anti Brexit protest march passing the door, except for one delivery of Chicken Salad minus its advertised walnut and avocado additives. Even this was rebated. The staff did very well to cope with very heavy demand.
This was my first visit to the Cote at Festival Hall, The food a Cote is always good. At this location the tables are very crammed in particularly downstairs. The restaurant was very busy and the service a bit slow. I was constantly having to ask the waiter to take our orders rather than being asked what we wanted. Having said that the Prestige set menu is great value in central london at £19.95 for a good 3 course meal.
I had a very enjoyable birthday meal at Cote, the staff were charming and attentive, and the complimentary glass of Kir and the birthday desert were much appreciated. The food in between was great as well!
Pre-theatre menu : great food, good choice, great value, good service, not too noisy - what's not to like!
We enjoyed our meal ,the staff were efficient and friendly. The food was varied and very tasty. We plan to come back soon.
Noise levels in this split level railway arch restaurant made for an annoying evening. Marble Floors, tables and bare walls do not absorb sound. Half of my guests conversation could not be heard. Overall the food was good and the service great from pleasant staff.
I go to Cote frequently. This visit was what was expected - good food, good service at reasonable prices. Will continue to go to this restaurant and recommend it
Fantastic meal and excellent service from the manager to the staff. We waited for an outdoor table but it was worth it! We will be back!
Sadly the food was not up to your usual standard in that my daughter’s chicken was very dry as if it had been left waiting for too long under heat. We raised this with our excellent waiter who took this into account when giving us our bill and did not charge us for it. This is why I gave one star less than excellent. Despite being very busy with every table full the staff were professional and friendly.
Great food and service and location for the Royal Festival Hall. Will definitely return but need to pre book if attending an event as it was extremely busy. Enjoyed the two course set menu which was excellent value for London!
Good good, good value, and right there for pre-dinner for the Royal Festival Hall.
Staff were friendly and made our visit fun especially Kevin and Bobar. We enjoyed some friendly banter with both and stayed with our friends for over two hours. We always eat at Cotes by choice and are never disappointed. Excellent food and nothing to much trouble. Will be back again when in London.
Last people in at 2235 and service friendly and efficient
Excellent service and care on arrival. I have a wheelchair and the staff were extremely helpful. Sadly small mistakes were made with our food order and my dish has clearly waited for the other meals to be ready as mine was luke warm. It wasn't worth complaining as the restaurant was by now very busy. I would still use Cote again because this was an unusual occurrence.
I thought the service was exceptionally good. The food was served very quickly and efficiently by a very charming waiter. I would definitely recommend your restaurant to other people.
The service was far too slow and we had to miss our main course. Too many people coming in at the same time. When the RFH has an 11 o' clock start then you can expect a rush of people in the lunch break. You need to make sure you have enough staff available to cope with this sudden and high demand. This particular concert is on each year so be ready for the next one on 5th April 2020 also at lunchtime. We came back at 4 o' clock to finish our meal which wasn't very convenient but we appreciated the free bottle of wine.
A most enjoyable meal - and well up to Cote's high standards. We were greeted with handshakes; our reserved table was ready; and my wife was so pleased with the gluten-free menu (she is coeliac). Thank you!
This was an embarrassing experience. I booked for 5.30 as we were due at a concert starting at 7. One of us was late, 3 were not. We got drinks and the one starter ordered but by 6.40 we were still waiting for food-2 if us had ordered salads! We left, fortunately our offer to Pay was refused. Please tell me why a restaurant serving a large concert venue cannot ensure customers leave having eaten in an hour? This was really poor service made worse because I told our waiter we needed to be in the concert hall by 7! Cote-you must improve your staffing to make sure this never recurs.
Excellent friendly service. Not rushed. Great menu . Tables a bit too close together. Good choice of wine Good value for money. Pleasant atmosphere Will definitely book again
We arrived about 20 mins before our booking but they managed to accommodate us easily, even tho its a super busy restaurant. Food was delicious as always from Cote, staff very friendly and helpful when needing a help with a wine choice. Would go back and would recommend to anyone looking for very reasonably priced french cuisine.
Despite a busy restaurant and lots of kids, the staff were charming and professional as ever, and the food delicious.Cote are a consistent chain, they always make me feel looked after.
A delightful birthday lunch with friends and family. Manager and all staff most attentive. Good food and excellence service. Thankyou
Great quality two course set menu. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, fab location
This was another tasty and good value meal, with plenty of choice on the early evening menus. Steak frites well up to the usual standard.
Perfect place for business lunch, good food relaxed atmosphere and very quiet. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again. Cõte was also good value for money
Excellent meal as always. Loved the rhubarb martini! The complimentary bottle of wine made the meal even better value than usual. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food was great. You can't beat Cote, we will be back again soon for sure.
As usual,my daughter and I had a delicious meal at Cote at the Festival Hall. Although the brasserie was very busy our order was served quickly and with extreme courtesy and careful attention to our requirements. I think that there were fewer staff members on duty than usual and the staff were working at an incredible speed. Halo was remarkably patient and helped many of his colleagues with taking orders and delivering the meals. Looking forward to our next visit!
A warm welcome from very friendly staff. The service was fine, except that part of our order was missing when are meals were served. The error was rectified promptly. We both ate the Breton chicken from the Prestige menu and found it a little dry. The rest of the meal was very good: honest food at a reasonable price. My only other comment was that we felt the seating downstairs was rather cramped. We have eaten at various Cote restaurants and will continue to do so.
We were very well looked after during a busy pre-theatre evening time. The service was great, the food was delicious and it was excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back!
Consistently good food and service at Cote, whichever branch I visit.
One of our party needed gluten free food. Very impressed that the menu was already for her when we arrived. We were a group of friends that had not seen each other for a long time so being downstairs we could chat much easier
I always enjoy coming to Cotes Brassiere, I love the food, ambience and the service is always good. Its in a great location, close to concert halls, theatre, cinema and bars.
Bill was wrong and had to be corrected. We were charged for a ‘complimentary drink’ ( which should have been free)! Waiter admitted he had made ‘a mistake’.
Always enjoy a pre theatre meal at Cote, such good value for money with nice choice of menu which changes often. Efficient and friendly service.
Food was excellent and staff were friendly and attentive. It was my first visit to this branch and it was definitely up to the usual high standards of Cote
We were quickly escorted to our table, water was brought immediately and we were offered drinks. Good first impression The menu was just fine for our needs
