Quite busy but well managed , nice to be back !

Excellent service and food as usual. The standard is always high and the staff are very welcoming.

Delicious food. Excellent service. My elderly mother who is nervous about COVID felt relaxed and really enjoyed herself. My only request is that it should be possible to order a couple of biscuits to have with tea or coffee if you don’t want a whole dessert.

Good service and good food. I do like my French Onion Soup for starters. Lovely atmosphere, reasonable number of people here as we enter tier 2 for Shropshire. Need to support Cote to ensure they keep going here in Shrewsbury.

So lovely to be back. As usual, service, food, ambience were excellent. The cocktails were an added bonus.

The staff as always were superb, the ambience as always was excellent. The standard of cooking was the same as always, but I had the belly pork and although it was cooked beautifully the meat was quite strong, especially the fat which used to be sweet and mild but today tasted of the farm. I’m not complaining I’m just observing a slight change in the quality of the meat, TODAY. I mentioned this to the assistant manager who was lovely, and I again I insisted it wasn’t a complaint, just an observation. But it’s put me off eating it again and I e had that dish for at least.....3 years.,? Will definitely come back to Cote, I’ll just go back to chicken or steak. Thank you b

So enjoyable after lockdown. Busy atmosphere- almost a sense of normality again. And of course, great service and food. A real treat in these miserable times!

Because of current Covid concerns ought not the waiters, after clearing a table, clean their hands before serving new orders at a fresh table ? Otherwise, always an enjoyable experience at Cote’s Shrewsbury. Staff very polite and helpful.

Every time we come here we are delighted with the food, the friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere. You are made to feel so welcomed. That is why we keep coming back. So sad that, under the wretched lockdown, you have to close again.

Lovely break for lunch. There’s nothing like a bit of normality during these difficult times. Thank you for that. Reception and service was excellent as always. Your staff really are a delight. Also, we really enjoyed our lunches. One small complaint is that my minute steak, although well cooked and very tasty, was, sadly, on the cool side by the time it arrived at our table. It appeared to us that the servers were generally unsure as to where to go as they brought trays of food from the kitchens. And they ultimately waited for other staff members to actually place the plates.

Very delicious food, desserts are just heaven. The staff is friendly and very fast. We had a great 14th anniversary tonight thanks to Cote.

As always, the best experience at Cote in Shrewsbury. The staff are always always so friendly and welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble. The food was amazing yet again as always, it never disappoints so really can’t wait to get back again.

The staff was very attentive and courteous, and everything was perfectly in liaison with Covid 19 procedures. We only had coffees and they were very nice indeed. Many thanks to all the Staff!

I love Cote in Shrewsbury. Staff are delightful, very professional & attentive. Food is delicious, ambience is very pleasant. The hygiene rules are very reassuring & do not take anything away from the dining experience. Cote is my first choice when I take a trip to Shrewsbury.

The service was very good but the food was disappointing bordering on grim. None of it was quite bad enough to send back (ie. it was all edible) but it was cooked with no care whatsoever. My fish stew was fish in tomato sauce (I think the same sauce had been used on my son's pasta). My other son's burger was so disappointing he now says he's never going to order another burger again (anywhere).

Food and service very good wont be returning didn’t feel safe, too close to other customers .

Very friendly environment considering the times we live in at the moment. Lovely starter, I always have French onion soup. Shared a chateaubriand which was very nice. Great service. Recommend Cote Shrewsbury.

Great place. The ambiance is amazing. Love the location. One walks through the square giving an archaic experience, then walk into this restaurant :) The service was great. My wife and I loved the food: Garlic bread was good. We loved the mussels, and especially the steaks (Sirloin and Ribeye). If you have the chance go in October, they have this tasty chateaubriand on their special menu. Overall we had a great experience here. The pricing is reasonable also, definitely recommend others to go here. They also kept the tables far enough from each other so as to adhere with social distancing, people aren't up and walking around. When you enter the restaurant and walk to your table you need to wear a mask, but once seated you take it off.

fillet steak with warm plates would be my only criticism please

Shrewsbury Cote always really good service and food always reliably delicious.

Sadly the food was not that well prepared or described on the menu. The Haddock was served on the same poorly (cold) fried potatoes as my wife's chicken with some "mashed" tomatoes. The service also was crude a d heavy handed and a unnecessary discussion over how a personally like my coffee.
