Very nice experience, enjoyed that not rushed and food was brilliant but could have eaten more.

Having been in Winchester for about 50 years, I can honestly say that Cote is the best restaurant to hit Winchester for a long time. Above all the staff are like a very happy family, very attentive in every way and creating an extremely happy atmosphere, on top of which the food is excellent and well presented. My wife and I love going there for all the good reasons and knowing that we will enjoy the visit and be sure of a great welcome and, as I am disabled, they do all they can to help me.

The service at Cotes is exemplary and the food is first class. Especially the cream caramel dessert, not to be missed. We are regulars what more can I say

Nice meal and good service. Pity the cod goujons are not still on the menu. Please can you get a handrail on those steps my father in law stumbled and was saved by a tourist! I was there of course but couldn’t take his weight. He’s 94 and loves your restaurant!

Really disappointed that the chateaubriand special was not available. We had an early evening table at 6pm and had already decided that we were going to chose this for our main course as had been sent a link through the newsletter. As we sat down and given the menus, there was no mention that this was not available. So when we ordered we were then told it was not available. We were told that they did not think it would be popular so not enough was ordered! Very disappointed Cote! 😞

Our quiet family get-together prior to an upcoming funeral was made special by the attentive service, good food and pleasant atmosphere. This is not the first time we have visited this restaurant, and it has aways been very good.

After a warm and friendly greeting and being shown to our table on a raised level by a window, we were each presented with a glass of French 75 a refreshing mix of gin, sparkling wine and zesty lemon with a hint of sugar(complimentary because we were choosing from the À La Carte menu)Very pleasant too. I started with Homemade Crab Bisque served with baked Gruyère gougères(EXCELLENT) and Chris had Pissaladière Reblochon - traditional warm flatbread from Nice with caramelised onions Reblochon cheese and thyme which she liked very much. We both chose Côte de Veau Grilled - rose veal t-bone steak with frites, salade verte and a warm tarragon butter and shared a Ratatouille- sautéed aubergine, courgette and red peppers in Provençale sauce with baby spinach and extra virgin olive oil. The meat was outstanding in flavour and texture, and cooked medium rare as requested, although we probably wouldn’t go for the ratatouille again. I also enjoyed a glass of house red(Lagarde Rouge)with my meal. Service was friendly and efficient, Dan was helpful, and the background music was not intrusive. A thoroughly enjoyable Saturday lunch.

Beware the "Meal deals". We were charged for something different. waiting staff tried to help and a nice gang.

I enjoy Cote every time I go. The food is super tasty, the service is always fab and the prices are reasonable. Definitely an easy choice to make

The steak was amazing, one of the best I’ve had, and the service was excellent. However even with a free cocktail it was pretty expensive. All in all, recommended though.

We like Cote restaurants & Winchester has a really nice one. There were a couple of hiccups last night but the friendly efficient staff put it right. Had breakfast there yesterday also again very pleasant. Will definitely be back when we are this way again

Lovely time at Winchester Cotes. Staff were very attentive and our waiting times for food and drink were exceptionally good. One of my favourite restaurants.

Good meal overall, although had to wait a long time for a child's meal that had been requested to be served with the other's starters. Manager apologised later and deducted cost from the bill. Lamb loin chops very good. Pork Belly good but crackling not crisp. Burger good, but bacon needed to be cooked more to be slightly crispy.

Lovely food and very good service. Good ambiance and recommended wine was perfect. The missing ingredient was mint sauce to go with my lamb which was the second time I had ordered lamb to be advised that because the French don't have mint sauce with lamb they don't serve it. We are in England! Suggest you purchase some! They tell me they get asked for it all the time. Otherwise my review would have had another star!

As always I enjoyed my visit to Cote. This time I visited with my friend Lucy after she finished work. It was a lovely way for her to relax and unwind after a stressful day.

Breakfast wasn’t hot, fried eggs were like rubber so were sent back to be re done. We were asked then by 3 members of staff if the replacement was better! Toast and coffee could have been much hotter too. This is our third breakfast visit and each time it’s the same. I think now we’ll not bother again. Such a shame as usually service and atmosphere are pleasant and welcoming, sadly I’m not a fan of cold food.

Cote Brasserie is by far the best chain restaurant group unless the restaurant at Winchester is better than the others. I dine there often and the food and service cannot be improved

Hi – we had a really great evening at Cote Brasserie last night and will definitely return. There were 6 of us in our party and we visit Cote Brasserie a good number of times a year together, and separately too – it’s definitely a favoured restaurant of ours. However, last night’s experience was marred by lukewarm food. Up until last night, we’ve always had good hot food, so it must be either down to kitchen equipment last night, or kitchen staff, so we only pass this information to you… a) because you have asked for feedback, and b) we think the kitchen staff should know. I believe there were 3 or 4 soups ordered, two of which were lukewarm. Then there were 4 chicken Parmentier dishes ordered, all four were lukewarm and although tasty, were very disappointing. The member of staff attending our table took one of the chicken dishes away to heat it up, but by the time the wait staff returned, the rest of us with the chicken dishes were at least half way through. Having said all of the above, the staff were faultless and we were indeed compensated, for which we are grateful. Again, we would not have complained but, the fact is I made the booking for last night’s ‘get together’ with our friends quite a way ahead, as we wanted to request the table in the upstairs bow window. I was told that was fine, but when we arrived last night we were told the table was not available now, as we were 6 and a party of 8 had come in. We ought, we believe, to have been offered some kind of compensation at that time. But, as I say, I would not have mentioned this but for the fact of the many tepid dishes we were served last night. So our disappointment is definitely with the lukewarm food. But, even tho we come from a way outside of Winchester to meet up with each other, we will continue to do so. For your interest we travelled from Upper Chute which is a 25 mile distance, from Goodworth Clatford and also from Chilbolton. We hope your kitchen staff are able to use our comments constructively.

Really enjoyed our visit for breakfast on Sunday morning. I would advise you book as it is so busy. Really good food and excellent service! The waiter even remembered us from before and remembered our last order! What a great service

Service was a bit slow. the staff could have been a little more upbeat. We have never liked the 12.5% service charge. It is a presumption, particularly as we always leave a tip (unless the service is awful!). We like the menu, it is well presented and good quality food. So we will be back.

Food was consistently good as usual. Service was friendly but a little sparse. Bill came with ‘optional’ 12.5% tip but the server was unsure how to use the card machine when we choose to apply a different level of tip. If you are going to add an ‘optional’ charge, please train your staff to deal with alternative levels of gratuity. .

Great meal excellent service good atmosphere. My daughter is coeliac and we could not fault the way she was looked after. The manager made sure the choices were correct and then made sure they were delivered to the table, nothing was too much trouble. If you are coeliac you should go here to eat as you can do so with confidence.

Choice of food was varied and extensive. I had Mussels followed by Bretton Chicken which was excellent. The service was professional without being intrusive. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience

Our evening was as lovely as usual. The food was excellent, the rhubarb martinis were fabulous and our waiter was exceptional. Another wonderful evening.

Wife had a birthday lunch here it was the usual nice place. We enjoyed the February menu it was tasty and reasonably priced, yes I would recommend this restaurant

Breakfast is always excellent and never a disappointment. Would always recommend. Good options for veggie and the main veggie breakfast is fab. We will be returning!
