Great food and great service, definitely recommend if you are visiting Liverpool. Lovely ambience in the restaurant as well, we were lucky enough to sit in a booth as we got here early.

Fantastic food, great ambiance and lovely staff. Proof that it’s better to do one thing well than a lot of things mediocre. Steak amazing as always. Really enjoyed the butternut squash side and the crostini’s with the sundried tomatoes hummus was amazing

Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come back. Best food I've ever had. All courses were fantastic and of course steak cooked to perfection! Very friendly bar staff and waitresses, chilled atmosphere and restauraunt clearly all about the food rather than fancy decor. Loved it. X

Had a fantastic meal with family and friends. The food was faultless and the place itself cosy and warm. I would have liked the staff to be a little more attentive as our table was full of empty bottles that they didn't remove. But other than that, we're looking forward to visiting again soon.

Really quirky restaurant the way it is spread over so many levels. Table was ready and staff really friendly and helped out with queries over the food. Really good value for money and will be returning

Amazing food, only place to come close to the chop house in Edinburgh would recommend to anyone that loves steak. Would have rathered the bone marrow bones were split down the centre to make it easier to get out

Went to the Cowshed because my niece said she wanted to go somewhere that did steak, so we opted for here, as it had good reviews. The Cowshed is situated at the top end of Seel Street and it's quite small on the outside, but quite deceiving on the inside (lots of different rooms and seating). Staff lovely and friendly. My only grievance (my own fault for not reading the menu fully before booking), but unless you genuinely want only steak, then it's worth a visit, but there is literally only steak on the menu!! So if you're looking for more choice, then go somewhere else. Our party was really happy with the service and food. One other thing to bear in mind (I know some people aren't bothered about this), but they add their own service charge (gratuity) on the end of the bill, which I personally don't like, but my husband was paying, so wasn't bothered LOL.

Choice of starters was a little bit limited but food quality was excellent. Nutella cheesecake could of had a bit more nutella content maybe? I would definitely recommend and will be returning

Our first time here for a birthday treat for my Husband. Food was lovely, staff attentive, lovely atmosphere. Overall great. Didn’t disappoint. Will definitely return.

Excellent quality beef and I liked the feel of the restaurant itself. I enjoyed the special that was on offer and we ended up having just the right amount of food. Really good Malbec too. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium rare and I ordered mine medium, but sadly his was more like medium and mine was almost well done. Because the beef was succulent and high quality it was still very nice but this would be my only complaint as people tend to be quite specific about how they order their steak. At other steak restaurants this is always what we both order and we always find the steak is cooked in line with our expectations so this was probably just a one off.

Quirky little place, excellent waiting staff and extremely clean. The Greedy Cow was excellent (I did share it with my hubby) the fries are lovely and crisp and the garlic truffle mushrooms are very tasty! The only thing for me personally was the pepper sauce was a little too sweet but was fine for my hubby, may be worth offering a "hot or sweet" pepper sauce? We realy enjoyed our meal, Keep up the great work guys! xx

We had the "Greedy Cow" and it was an excellent choice, the steak came med/rare as requested and the charcoal grilled exterior tasted wonderful. We will definitely returning for more, sooner rather than later!

I have dined at the Cowshed twice now and neither time has disappointed. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, I would highly recommend and I cannot wait to go again!!

Wonderful experience last New Year's Eve. We tried a 3 courses menu. Good meat. Great service. Nice place. I would go back if i'm back in town.
