Cowshed - Liverpool

We had the greedy cow which was such good value for money. The steak was cooked just as we wished and it tasted incredible. The atmosphere and service was great and the food was so cheap for the quality we received.

Fab food and friendly service but it would have been nice to have a few more starters to choose from. Not the restaurant’s fault but there was a really noisy table of loud men swearing their heads off next to us which spoilt our overall experience. Not great particularly as our daughter was with us. The waitress said she would have moved us but the restaurant was fully booked but she thoughtfully brought us a complimentary liqueur by way of an apology. The interior was lovely and I would recommend the Cowshed to others and dine there again, we were just unlucky with the other table.

Really enjoyable meal coupled with excellent service, overall a really enjoyable experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a really good steak.

A very Pleasent dining experience, the staff were attentive but not intrusive. The quality of the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning soon.

Good food, well prepared and presented. Cheerful, friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere, though we would have preferred the music to have been a little quieter. We will certainly come again.

Good Atmosphere, food was average, good for the price, staff friendly and average service. The orientation of the table and limited space within the room made it somewhat awkward to eat and talk. Waiter singing was a little too loud/much. Food - Biltong, large portion of cured beef seemed to missing something - maybe some salad leaves. Steak - the meat had been seared however it was burnt though out. Would I return - disappointed after review online therefore NO.

Unbelievable food and service. Very reasonably price for the quality of food Strongly recommend to anyone considering it as an option Starters were a little limited but the main courses, special and sides are lovely.

At first looking at the Menu you think the Cowshed is all about Steak. It is. Visited many Steak Restaurants over the years, cant think of one that has been better. Great service, quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. Could not ask for more. Highly Recommend and will revisit. Thank you all at the Cowshed. 5 Star

Great food and service Would be better if there was another choice of main course for a non steak eater who is in the company of all steak eaters !

This was the second time that I went to Cowshed and subsequently the second time that I was impressed. The food was amazing. The staff are all friendly as well, adding to the experience.

Fantastic food ... the fillet steak was sooooo good as were the desserts !!! The wine selection was lovely... we had a couple of bottles of really good quality french red ... they went down very nicely!!! Lovely cocktails. The service was brilliant!!!! Nothing was too much trouble which is just great !!! I would definitely recommend this place!!! Great night had by all xxx thank you xxx

The best food I have ever ate. Great meat and sides. I can recommend fillet, garlic mushrooms with truffle butter and caramelized butternut squash with red onion and parmesan.

Excellent service, fabulous food!! Will definitely be returning with friends to experience the unique style that The Cowshed offers. Great addition to Liverpool. Would highly recommend.

Great food cooked and seasoned perfectly. Lovely team of people working there, from door to table. We were running late and after calling, we were reassured there wouldn’t be a problem. Totally recommend this place.

Excellent food and service, really good selection of beers and wine, great music throughout, relaxed atmosphere, hopefully returning there soon and definitely having the greedy cow.

Hello Food very good, Nice restaurant. Staff pleasant but inexperienced. Main course arrived when we had just been served our nibbles. Serving staff asked if we had finished our meal when my wife was still eating!!!! When we go out for a meal we like to relax and enjoy it....not be rushed into finishing it David Le Prevost Guernsey

If you want a good steak eat here! Try the cheese board too. Side dishes tremendous. Great food, great wine, great staff : great night - can't give enough praise!

Quirky setting in what was a house over several levels. Really good atmosphere with relaxed yet attentive staff. Went for the shared option ( greedy cow I think it was called ) with my son and was def the best choice for 2 meat lovers Would recommend without hesitation and look forward to you opening in Cardiff !!

The food and service was exceptional, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Lovely surroundings and great background music. It was my wife’s birthday and they put a candle in her cheesecake and sang her happy birthday. This was unexpected but added a very personal touch. We also got complimentary liqueur shots. We will definitely book again on our next visit to Liverpool.

Small little restaurant you could easy miss but if do you are missing a gem. Fast personal friendly service. Very good prices for beautiful well cooked steak. Hubby and I shared greedy cow. Three steaks with a salad side dressing. Two sauces and two sides. Total £40. Absolutely beautiful. Try the cabbage in the chrizo cream as a side choice. Highly recommended. Cocktails and desserts also lovely. Wish we were local as would be back.

Original decoration joined with a fast service, good quality product and cheerful efficient staff. The menu is short, but enough, they offer specials of the day also. Highly recommended.

Nice staff and lovely food. Building a bit crumbly and steep stairs but a very good evening and not overpriced. Steaks were very good as were the vegetables

Staff lovey and friendly. Menu fairly basic steak , steak or steak so expecting steak to be pretty good. Disappointed as although steak was cooked well the quality of the meat was poor. Both our ribeye steaks were grizzly . I know ribeye is a fatty cut but this was inedible grizz. Source better quality meat and this place could be a winner.

My partner and I went to the Cowshed Liverpool last night, the food was amazing and so were the staff. Our food came very quickly and was cooked to perfection. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Best meal experience we have ever had. Perfect evening.

This was our 5th visit and As always, everything was delicious and the service was great. Recommended to many friends and family and will of course be visiting again.

Absolutely superb. Amazing food. Great service. Can’t fault the place at all. My partner is coeliac and they accommodated this very well, oven cooking some foods that would have been normally done in the fryer.

Lovely little restaurant hidden away on Seel Street. No wonder it’s so busy and you have to book well in advance. Well worth the wait, food was excellent 👍
