Cowshed - Liverpool

Lovely food, one of the nicest steaks we've had. Wanted to go to a not too posh restaurant for my husband's birthday; Cowshed was the perfect place. Staff were really attentive and offered recommendations and advice about the different cuts of beef. Will definitely be going back.

Ordered the steak med special which was gorgeous. Steak cooked perfect and creamy sauce. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will be coming back soon.

Plainly awesome.. one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The staff are very attentive and the food is great. Can’t really ask for more.

Second time we have visited this restaurant and was just as good as the first! Pleasant staff from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Food was cooked to perfection and the desserts were really delicious. Nice choice of wine too to compliment the steaks. Very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Cowshed if you are looking for a good quality steak!

the beef is delicious, however, the taste of sweet potato mash is quite strange to me. Afterall, this is a satisfying meal to me and my friend.

Fantastic food. Great simple menu ... no fuss ... Brilliant customer service. Drinks are very reasonable for a city centre. I would Recommend to all.

Relaxed atmosphere, intimate venue and the food was lovely all at a reasonable price. Skip dessert and have the white chocolate espresso martini instead !

Fabulous steaks with really tasty sides. Great staff who were very friendly. It seemed to be a little bit away from the centre of things but in reality only a 10 minutes walk from Liverpool One. I highly recommend it.

Amazing service, food AND music. Can’t fault it. The moment you walk in the staff are on it, friendly and just can’t do enough to help.

We arrived at the restaurant and were welcomed by very friendly staff, seated staight away and had a lovely waitress who explained how things worked and promptly brought over our drinks. Food was lovely, staff great, well looked after, cannot fault.

Food and service was just lovely! Couldn’t fault any of it. My ribeye was cooked to perfection, I usually ask for medium rare but I’m pregnant so asked for medium to well, and it was so tender and tasty. The sides were delicious we had carrots and sweet potato mash with pepper sauce. Finished with sticky toffee pudding. Can’t wait to come back!

Cowshed is a lovely place. Super service & absolutely lovely food. We ordered too much but will certainly be going back again when I visit Liverpool & would recommend to friends.

Everything was lovely from walking into the Cowshed to being seated, ordering drinks and then ordering our meals. It was a Friday night and we didn’t wait for anything. Food was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful. Have recommended the Cowshed to all my friends. Ps I don’t eat steak but I did last night and it was amazing. Thank you

Food was amazing, really good service. The food came very quickly. The place is really small however felt it was a little to quiet some background music could of helped.

We really liked our meal but it was all over way to fast, I think I expected so much more as 5 star on trip advisor. I get that it’s a steak restaurant but not a big selection of starters and sides. Music was brilliant, fab playlist. But the ambiance was not what we expected.

If looking for a steak meal out then don't bother going anyone else you won't be dissapointed. The greedy cow is a great sharing dish or for 1 if feeling really hungry. The Mac and cheese balls also fantastic

This was one of the best meals I've ever had! The restaurant is lovely, staff so ascertive and the quality of food was second to none! The fillet steak was gorgeous and the choice in sides was great. Will definitely be returning and recommend to everyone!

Fabulous food, we shared the greedy cow, all the steaks tastied incredible and would definitely return for another visit in the future. Only downside they knew it was my boyfriends 30th and there was zero effort made for that, but never mind

Fantastic restaurant, the atmosphere is great and the staff really friendly and welcoming. The food was also delicious. Its not a cheap evening out but the food is worth the money.

Staff were very helpful, even putting an extra table on end when our party numbers changed. Excellent food and the couple we took with us said they would definitely go back.

This place is amazing! Excellent service and the food was beautiful. We had the fillet and ribeye with pepper sauce and garlic and herb. As a side we went for fries, carrots and mushrooms....stunning! Our new favourite place for steak!

We were concerned about trying somewhere apart from our usual favourite steak house but were certainly not disappointed. Great food, friendly staff and a great location.

Lovely restaurant. Nice friendly staff but steaks were not up to what we were expecting. I had the rump and it was very grisly. My husband had the flat iron and this was very chewy

One of the best meals I’ve ever had, the steak was beautiful and the service was brilliant. Our server, Sam, was cheery and chatty, an utter delight. Genuinely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had.

The food was delicious in a cosy setting - I enjoyed a yummy blood orange cocktail and rump steak with fries and garlic and herb cream sauce - would definitely recommend!!

Classy seating area with very attentive service, food is unbelievable and always trust what the recommendation says about how to have your steak cooked. Very reasonable pricing. We had an amazing lunch and will be going back when we are back in Liverpool.

We were a party of 4over from the Isle of Man to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. We had four fabulous fillet steaks, with wonderful accompaniments, the steaks chargrilled outer was awesome and the staff extremely friendly. My husband left his mobile there and they were very fast to phone me and we returned later to collect. No complaints.

I enquirer about the special and was told it came with a wild mushroom sauce, the server advised me I could change this to a different sauce and it wouldn’t be a problem! My husband was still deciding what he wanted so the server said he would give us a couple of minutes to decide. A lady came over to take our order and she said that in fact I couldn’t change the sauce on the special as it wasn’t possible. I ordered something else off the menu for the next table to be seated to be told that they could in fact change the sauce no problem! I found this a little disappointing as I wanted to try the special!

We had a fantastic night at Cowshed. A really beautiful meal. The steak is the nicest I had ever had. The setting is great and the staff are so pleasant and attentive. Top marks.

We celebrated with Xmas vouchers and had a lovely steak. Hubby had the special and we both had rump. A relaxed small venue. Pudding was delicious
