Cowshed - Liverpool

Cowshed was wonderful! We were given a warm welcome, food was excellent and the waiter was lovely, very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a really good steak meal. Good atmosphere too. Well done!

The food was very good and the service was good. The room we were in was empty when we came at 6:15 pm but start.ed to fill up by 7:pm (wedensday)

Excellent food and excellent service at a reasonable price. The interiors and ambience are quite intimate and relaxed. We would certainly recommend to friends and intend on returning again in the future.

Very friendly staff, lovely cosy dining room. Fillet steak up with best of the best and my waffles and eggs for me made it ( different) thoughroughly recommend it and it won’t break the bank.

I was looking forward to my visit here while on holiday... and it didn't disappoint....staff so friendly and food was amazing had the steak special and it was the best steak I've ever had!!!! Cocktails fab as well 😊

It was fine, we were expecting more choice, but it was ok. Was nice to be offered water on the table. Food was good, but we had heard a lot about it.

Yet another great visit to the Cowshed. Really great steaks, good service with friendly and helpful staff and an owner that is rightly proud of the steaks served here. It’s aleays a pleasure to come here and I recommend a visit to any meat lover

Great food and service but strange layout - small rooms mean not much atmosphere. Really reasonably priced but literally just steak (apart from one veggie dish) so avoid big you don’t want beef

Lovely restaurant, really chilled but attentive staff (without being pushy). Quaint and cosy as it's a small restaurant but really lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious!! Would definitely go back.

Decent service, decent food and not a bad price for Liverpool city centre, overall a good experience. On second visit would just go for sirloin or rump on their own and not a combination of the two with ribeye which we shared. The first 2 were really nice while the ribeye was fatty. Still enjoyed it though, the wine and the sides were also really nice and would definitely return.

Great food accompanied by a friendly and efficient service, would highly recommend the restaurant to family and friends. The music taste is also really good.

Small intimate resturant friendly staff excellent food and service would highly recommend a visit try the three steaks for forty pounds but do take the advice and have them medium rare

Amazing food, cracking atmosphere and the service was spot on! Had the rib eye which was slightly more cooked than requested but the quality of the meat more than made up for it. Would definitely come back.

A really great meal which, to my non-expert eye, was cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and engaging and the music was spot on for two people about to head off to the classic rock show. Top night all round but very definitely kick-started by the dining experience. A big thank you to everyone at Cowshed.

Delicious steaks and excellent value for money. Can you get a cheaper steak in Liverpool? Yes. Will it be anywhere near as good as the steaks at Cowshed? No. Not a chance. Finally there's somewhere in the city that knows how to treat meat. The service (which can often let a place down) has been top notch on both of our visits to Cowshed. As good as the food is - and it's REALLY good - the service goes a long way into us wanting to go back for more. They even manage to get the music right. Bravo!

A limited but quality menu, our steaks were perfectly presented. The restaurant itself is quirky, definitely not 'plush' but we liked it. The staff were attentive and friendly and contributed to a very pleasant experience. The only issue was not the Cowshed itself but the immediate locality- we couldn't find a decent bar nearby.

Absolutely amazing. Staff friendly and welcomed us noting there was a birthday in the party. Service was second to none. Overall, we would drive back to Liverpool from Newcastle purely for the restaurant!!

The “greedy cow” sharing steak was great and the Nutella cheesecake was amazing! Defiantly recommend to couples or small groups wanting a quiet chilled meal.

Service was very good. Menu is very limited having said that the food is lovely and of a high standard. If you like a good steak, you can't go wrong with this restaurant.

The best steaks that I have eaten. Recommend the ‘Greedy Cows’ plate of 3 steaks for sharing by 2 people. Sweet potatoe mash is great too

Pleasant restaurant in Georgian townhouse with comfortable benches and plenty of room. Staff attentive despite the many floors, but not intrusive. The music was a little loud and the food a little too salty but this simple steak house has picked one thing to do and does it well.

If you are going to Liverpool this restaurant is well worth a visit. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. A very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely go again if I'm in Liverpool. Please open a restaurant in Manchester.

This restaurant is a real gem. From the minute we walked in were were given excellent service the food was to so good the fillet steak melted in your mouth. The desserts were fantastic. Outlet waiter was a really nice guy nothing was too much trouble him. Will definitely visit if we are in Liverpool again. We need one in Leeds.

This place is absolutely incredible! Amazing steak, sides were awesome and the sauces were unbelievably good! Perfect service too! Outstanding! A must visit if you are in the area. Excellent value for money too

Good quality food but fillet not cooked as medium to well as ordered but it was well done, pleasant ambience, wonderful desert, but main meal portions quite small

The service are the Cowshed is excellent. I was greeted by someone as soon as I stepped through the door. Our waitress was also really friendly and attentive without being over the top. Atmosphere and surroundings are great, with an excellent playlist too! The food is really well cooked and well seasoned too. Steak was rested before it came out, and the Malbec I had matched it very well. The sides are great. I've visited the place a few times now and I'll be back again very soon. Tastiest steak in Liverpool!

Our first trip to the cow shed and i can honestly say it wont be our last. The service was Great and The food was amazing.

What an amazing restaurant! The whole experience was five star 🌟 the special was melt in the mouth ! The music was amazing. The staff so attentive ! This is a must for anyone visiting Liverpool who loves amazing food with an equally amazing environment! Well done

The food was excellent . We had 3 different cuts of steak but each of us were complimentary about our meals .Sides and deserts were also rather good. So we had not been to this restaurant before but would certainly be happy to return.

Food and wine excellent as was the service the only fault I can mention is that the bernaise sauce was a bit wide of the mark

First time here and it was the best steak we have ever had, everything was perfect from starter to main to dessert. We came here for our anniversary meal and we loved it. 100% coming back here!! Highly recommend. Staff very welcoming and lovely too.

Small, gorgeous restaurant with great service and fantastic food. Don't hesitate just go. Book in advance as they don't have many tables. Have the rump.

Lovely little restaurant. Great cosy atmosphere. Considering it's a steak place my rib eye was full of gristle. When I pointed this out they were kind enough to take the cost of the steak off the bill. Would recommend but hope they improve their steaks
