Booked for a birthday dinner. My husband ordered a medium rare sirloin steak. It was extremely fatty and difficult to cut. The wobbling table was testament to that. My chicken dish was ok,but nothing to rush back for. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the tables were too close together. We felt like we were sitting with the couple next to us. Food was average at best and in our opinion there are much nicer restaurants to visit. Sadly Cut was not for us.

The dining room is very dark and there were several flies around the table which is off putting. The food was OK. Nothing outstanding. The service was similar. It seemed very pricey (which included a service charge) for what it was. I wouldn’t go back

Is our favourite restaurant as we love how you are always greeted by staff warmly. Nothing is too much hassle for them, the are polite helpful and friendly. Our restaurant server was so efficient and spent time engaging in some chat. We had drinks at the end of our meal on the deck as the weather was lovely. Can’t recommend the food highly enough as it’s always perfection of the highest quality using local business to source ingredients.

Guys were so friendly and arranged our table for 3, eventhough I had booked for the next night. Food was lovely, service good.

Went for the 2 course in Market menu Sat afternoon - steak frites with pepper corn sauce and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious and cooked to perfection. Restaurant itself is lovely. Staff lovely too.

Fabulous Sunday Roast as always! It never fails to disappoint. The corn ribs and salmon starter were also brilliant!

Service was really poor and the food was cold. We had looked forward to the chateaubriand with the ‘Sunday roast’ trimmings but I’ve had better veg as the Toby Carvery - it was clear that the veg was reheated and to charge an extra £5 a he’s for that is a joke. Then to apply a £20 ‘service’ charge after providing little of a service added insult to injury. It was my daughters 18th birthday and she anted to go to Cut as we frequent the restaurant over many years, but we will not be returning.

The meal was lovely and service was fantastic. Lovely experience.

Food was amazing, the atmosphere was extremely poor. There was no background music and everybody was whispering so their conversations weren’t heard

Overall experience was very good rather than outstanding. Steaks at £37 were quite expensive and while well cooked, were not the best fillets we have had. Fries, mash and bernaise sauce were excellent although sauce and gravy portions were pretty small. Fries with Parmesan were excellent! Service was good - waiters friendly although one forgot to come back for our drinks order. Girl at the bar was super- friendly( don’t know her name but she said the Peach Collins cocktail I ordered was her favourite!) others looked over-worked and didn’t acknowledge us sitting at the bar. I mentioned in my booking that it was our anniversary and could we have a nice table. Table was ok- there were better ones there so I guess my request was ignored. Overall, yes we enjoyed our night and our meal but would we rush back - probably not.

we went to cut as a treat for my birthday and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, the restaurant had a lovely relaxed and informal atmosphere, and the waiting staff were very attentive, we will be back

Staff are friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely amazing. French onion soup, Atlantic prawns to start, roast chicken & sirloin steak (steak was amazing), followed by an ice cream sundae & cookie dough skillet. All in a place I would highly recommend, but be aware a service charge is already included in the bill.

So expensive for an average meal. Waiter gave us another tables food initially, asked if we wanted water and gave us still bottled water charging us £4.50 when everyone around us got bottles tap water for free, felt very sneaky. Chicken was average, bacon accompaniment was very sweet. Partners steak was decent but whole bill came to £150 for 2 starters and mains. Drinks so over priced. Waitress very unfriendly.

Restaurant was extremely hot and had to ask for the AC to be switched on, also steak was extremely under cooked.

Great service and food had a lovely meal with the family for Father’s Day and my husband appreciated the free beer!!

Our server Rebecca was lovely however we ordered the chateaubriand medium well and it was extremely undercooked like a jelly consistency rendering half of it inedible. The chef offered us a free dessert but we didn’t want it after the dinner and seemed like a waste of £75 - we had been given vouchers for our engagement and it just seemed like a waste.

Food was lovely, however, service could have been better. Very young staff and no one came over to check if we were enjoying our meal at any point or if we needed anything. Empty glasses and no one asked if we'd like any more drinks. Also two of the cubicles in the ladies toilets were faulty - one had no lock and the other had a broken lock. When you're paying these prices, you expect more.

First visit, our meal was lovely. Definitely be back again
