Excellent meal! Everything we had was fantastic. We just finished hiking along Hadrian's Wall and this was the perfect place to celebrate. We really enjoyed it!

Great food, great atmosphere - owner / chef really knows how to prepare great food! We enjoyed the evening very much! Can highly recommend the eton mess!

Delicious meal we both had the fillet of Lakeland beef knife cut through it like butter . Only downside no room for dessert. Somewhere to go for a special occasion. We will be back .

Returning for the first time in a few years - the food is as good as ever, and a warm and friendly welcome too. Chris and Emily manage to maintain a consistently good restaurant. Recommended.

Lovely food in a refined , traditional setting. Good service . Excellent seasonal menu. Good value for money. Starter and main were delicious but dessert ( lemon and ginger cheesecake ) was average hence 5 not 6 marks.

Wonderful experience at David's. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Also good wine. The staff were very attentive as were Chris and Emily.

I had a lovely lunch. The staff very friendly and attentive. A good choice of menu with the use of local produce. I will definitely be going again.

Great service and very helpful and fast service I enjoyed the sorbet recommended which was watermelon and elderflower gin nice and refreshing will definitely return

Great welcome from the team. Owners Chris and Emily greeted us personally and remembered it was our anniversary as we had our silver there last year. Food was amazing and was no trouble when I asked for a cheese souffle for my sweet as well as starter. Lovely surroundings very warm and friendly. Can not praise them all enough. Thank you guys see you soon.

Interesting menu, - our meals were well presented and tasted as good as they looked. Decent wine list at realistic prices. Good value overall and recommended as a lunch venue in Carlisle (there is much competition though).
