Food was lovely however service was poor. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When food arrived they forgot to bring plates and cutlery, when they brought it over (after having to remind them) they didn't bring me a fork. Other than that the food was brilliant

Amazing food and service Great value for money and really great cocktails as well. Friendly staff and also really flexible with adapting the menu for dietary requirements!

Read some negative Reviews about this place and was hesitant, but would have to say the staff were attentive, friendly, and the food was good. Would go back.

Arrive before 8pm to get 2 amazing cocktails for 10£, start with the homemade empanadas (veggie, chicken or beef, they all taste delicious). Then make your choice between the 12 tapas and enjoy ! Everything is always perfect at Escudo :)

The restaurant has a very warm, welcolming atmosphere Lovely place great food delicious cocktails! The staff are really lovely and inviting. I have visited many times and I have recommended to others who have also enjoyed it!

The tapas plate is fantastic. The two cocktails for a tenner is a really good deal so make sure you book between 4 and 8

The food, cocktails and atmosphere were all great. There are a few items from the online menu that aren’t on the menu (pork main, desserts, etc.) but there are still good options. Will definitely be going again.

Service was good, friendly and fast; can't fault that. The cocktails were good, especially the "Jalamango Margarita" which had a nice kick to it that went really well with the mango taste. The atmosphere was young and buzzing. The food was mediocre at best. The Octapus tapa was gummy and not nice at all. "Ropa vieja" was too sweet for my liking and a little overcooked. The only saving grace were the "croquettes". Stay away from "cubanisto" beer unless what you really want is fizzy pop.

Great food. Tapas menu is brilliant and the two for one drinks between 4-8 was brilliant. The service was spectacular. Everyone was so accommodating and made sure everyone had a great experience. Will definitely go back.

We always have a great experience here. The food is excellent, cocktails are even better, especially if you make it in time for the two for one! The service is also impeccable. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Had a birthday party here of 12 and it was amazing! the staff were very helpful and quick to take orders and were always around for when we needed something. The food was cheap and delicious.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food is to die for. Super tasty and huge portions. We all had a good taste of the cuban hospitality and all the guest were really pleased about the overall experience. Plus the restaurant decoration/atmosphere is great too.

Warm friendly atmosphere and staff. Drinks and food for our party of 9 was impeccable as was the service. Had pre booked thankfully as, on a Saturday evening it was busy which added to the ambience. Definitely will return!

Our first visit to this restaurant proved to be most enjoyable. Food was both interesting and excellent and the portions were particularly large ! Good range of wines and cocktails. Service was efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend it.

Engagement dinner for 48 people! The restaurant was very accommodating. I ordered in advance what everyone wanted, the staff were really helpful and attentive. Everyone loved the food and left full! Which is saying a lot based on how many people attended. Would definitely use again for a big function!

I went with my family to celebrate my mum's birthday and it was fantastic. The food was filling and tasty. The atmosphere had a nice authentic Cuban feel with the music and the furniture. The food was amazing. The service was lovely. It gets really busy. The mains portions are big! The free Zambuca shots you get after paying are something else!... the Grey Goose of Zambuca..😋

We were seated straight away. We got happy hour cocktails which were fabulous. Food came quickly and was absolutely delicious! Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

I didn't know what to expect of Cuban food but I wasn't disappointed. They serve big portions of food and everything was really tasty and good.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food ( portions are so big!!) Some vegetarian options too which is great. Happy hour is good value ( 4 till 8) I think.

We've lived locally in Dalston for nearly 50 years and loved these guys when they were Cuba Libre at the Angel and we were delighted when they opened under their new name 20 mins walk from our front door. Great food. Very meaty (but always a good fish and vegetarian options). Staff are friendly and portions huge. Cannot recommend it enough!

I would eat at cuba libre everytime, i enjoy my time there and the staff are really polite and always there if you need something. They always listen to the customer and always tries to accommodate my needs:)

Great food, friendly staff. Escudo de Cuba never disappoints me. The cocktails are delicious, the tapas have perfect size portions as do all the other dishes. I feel at home when I'm at Escudo even though I can't call myself a regular as I live far. Whenever I'm in the east for a night out, I know where I want to begin!

I spent my 50th there and now spent my 53rd yesterday ..Hospitality on point as always. Only critic the taste of food although excellent tasted better last time..Change of Chef maybe??? Still enjoy the place though..

The food was delicious as always washed down with grilled pineapple daiquiris. Pleasant staff and great value for money. It has become my favourite regular and is only 5 minutes from my house! Score!
