They were really friendly and helpful and the food was really good. They also were very sweet when my friend drank too much of their really tasty cocktails. Good value good fun

Staff were great and helpful, but they cannot manage large groups. We were a group of 35, who had even sent them a pre-order in advance. Serving of food was slow and they struggled to provide dishes to the right guests despite receiving a seating plan and name cards! Some of the main courses were cold and at least 4 delivered 10-15 mins after the main group. They did serve complimentary drinks who received dishes late. Private room was poor on decor as the tables and chairs some of which were wooden benches. A venue more for couples or to drink and hang out rather than a place formal sit down group meal.

Lovely atmosphere, fabulous friendly helpful staff and fab cocktails. Not far from tube station, easy to find. Would definitely go again if we're ever in the area. 😊🍹🍹🍹

One of the best Cuban places in London. Food is great, prices reasonable. 12 tapas for 4 people was just right. Place was busy and loud. Happy hour for cocktails - great deal. Tequila with the bill - nice gesture.

The food was very good and nicely cooked. However, the service was extremely slow. We weht there on a Friday night do it is understandable bit we waited over an hour after finishing our mains to be asked if we would like dessert. I would return but perhaps on a weekday.

I took a couple friends here to experience the best of Dalston. The food was delicious and staff extremely accommodating. We even got complimentary tequila shots!

Doesn't look much from the outside but wonderful authentic Cuban food. Best meal Ive had in ages and nice not to eat in another chain. Good value for money- we all left very full. Highly recommend the tapas. Only negative was that it was very hot inside.

We had a pleasant evening there. The restaurant is friendly and the food is good. The portions are large. The complementary liqueur at the end was a pleasant surprise.

We went there for my husband's birthday on a Friday night. We called to say we'd be 10 minutes late and were told to "take our time", when we got there the place was really crowded, we could barely hear eachother, and we ended up waiting 1 hour for our table. Anyway... it was worth the wait, the staff were really friendly, cocktails were as they should be, prices were reasonable for London and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, we couldn't finish our main, so unfortunately we didn't have any room for dessert :( Will definitely return.

Came here for my Birthday and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party. The food was excellent and the drinks included in happy hour are lovely. Can't praise them enough!

Cocktails happy hour, mixed grill platter, 2 large mains = stuffed. Time and time again, Escudo de Cuba delivers great value and delicious food. Although they forgot the free shot of digestiv at the end this time.

Delicious as always. Friendly staff, good portions, service is quick. You also get a shot of digestive liquor at the end. Yum! Looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely and atmospheric little place with yummy food in very generous portions. We had to make it to the Arcola down the road so couldn't linger as long as we might have. A place you could happily pass the whole evening in!

I think they used to locate in Islington, as the menu & the interior looked quite similar. The meat plate we ordered was big portion and very yummy. But the tapas that people at next table were having looked nice too. Will definitely go for some tapas next time.

Dinner for ourselves and our sons. We went on Saturday night and the restaurant was lively but not over the top. We were greeted and shown to our table by a very friendly member of the team. We had a great meal (watch out for the large portions - we made the mistake of having tapas starters!). The food was well cooked and served and was good value for money. Will go back

Great restaurant. Enjoyed a drink on the outside tables and moved into the restaurant to eat where there was a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the tapas menu and will return to try the a la carte.

I really like the place. Good food, good cocktails and nice atmosphere. We had some tapas which came out very quickly and some cocktails that we enjoyed a lot.

My previous experience with this restaurant was very good hence took two work colleagues with me this time. Service was very poor. One of the guys were vegetarian but unfortunately this restaurant apparently does not serve pure vegetarian. It took ages to get our food served. They only had two people to serve about 10 tables. When we try to speak to the waitress we were ignored several times. When we asked about the menu one waitress was very attentive but she quite didn't get out requests and there was another waitress who simply wasn't helpful. Got our drinks wrong and simply a disaster. I don't think my work colleagues were impressed about the place. Due to the latest dining experience I would not recommend this to anyone I know or any vegetarian person.

Great service, fast and efficient. The food (Vegetarian option) and desert were excellent! Nothing particular about the Cuba libre but definitively going back! Good price too.

Friendly and quick service, and delicious food! I was warmly welcomed, and my drinks order arrived quickly. Our tapas were good, tasted authentic, and the portion was plenty for two. Recommended.

Fab food, great atmosphere & good cocktails...comfier chairs that don't catch on your tights would be good! Would definitely go again, when the happy hours on. :)

Although there was a lot of confusion from the member of staff serving, of which was their first day, the food and the entire ambience is very plesant and would most happily go again.

One of the best south american restaurants in London. Got a nice vibe. Food was brilliant, fresh and nicely prepared. Staff was excellent and I would definitely go there again. My wife is from Venezuela and the waitress recommended to try the carne mechada, it so good. We also had some Seafood dishes, which was really fresh tasty. In the end we were given tequila shots on the house and it was a such a nice way to finish our night. I would highly recommend this place.

The food was great. We had excellent service. There was a lovely atmosphere and the cocktails were delicious. Visited during happy hour so we received a good deal for the cocktails. Also received complementary olives, banana chips and tequila shots. I will definitely go back again.

The food was not that nice prawns were not cleaned properly had lots of dirt inside no seasoning on food an they miss stuff of the plate like plaintain or ice cream

What a cracking little place, really good fresh tapas and seriously the best Margaritas in London, really laid back atmosphere, attentive staff and a real mix of clientele from young couples on dates to groups attending a 40th party, really added to the atmosphere and a really enjoyable night. Will be back 100%

Lovely food, genuine friendly waitress, fresh fish. Amazing mohijito cocktails, best I've had before. I really liked the feel of the place, diverse customers, relaxed vibe. Will be going back!

Wow what an amazing place. Totally forgot I was in London. Beautiful atmosphere food was amazing and very reasonable, the waitress was really sweet and knew the menu inside out. Cocktails are awesome too. Definitely recommend!

Good tasty size portions, lovely place. Good service and happy atmosphere with nice latin tunes in the background, didn't try any cocktails though. I definetelly coming back.
