Good food, nice staff, pleasant atmosphere, a good night out

We were a party of four . Plates were cleared of the table before we had all finished eating.

There was clearly something wrong in the kitchen today. Folks were being served with Mash & Chips, Pie & Mash, the Roast Beef was like leather and the wait to be served was shocking. We paid for our drinks and left.

We had to wait 1hr for food, poor attention from staff, incorrect meal served, lack of leadership among staff, limited menu available. Disappointed as this is our local pub which you should expect a simple meal.

Went there on a Saturday evening. 2 of us had a great meal. Service from the young lady waitress was excellent and the atmosphere was just right

Fabulous lunch. Great atmosphere. Stayed until 6:00pm Didn’t want to leave. That says it all except this rating robot required fourteen extra unnecessary words entering.

The atmosphere was inviting, the food was very good, services excellent & staff very helpful & pleasant. We will definitely eat at the Farmers Arms again.

had a Great lunch only complaint I am so full can hardly move after 3 courses and wine. sea bass was very fresh and cooked to perfection

Booked a table for 4. The service was very good and the food (I had the Beef Brisket) was really good. Only let down was the wine I wanted was out of stock, however the second choice was good so no complaints.

Food disappointing. I had the salmon and noodles. Salmon was overcooked and too much sauce on the noodles made the dish sickly. Waitress not very approachable.

Very Good food, fish and wonderful homemade pie and the beer, Unicorn and Dizzy Blonde is perfect very well served and delivered to the table !

Great food and atmosphere, the decor is very interesting and inventive, a very wide range of choices on the menu and the selected items did not disappoint.

Gorgeous food, comfortable seating and efficient staff serving. Would be nice to have a friendly chat on arrival. A little impersonal at times...... Pub is suitable for couples, families and groups large and small.

We booked this for a work meal out. The service was fabulous and the food as usual was brilliant. They were very accommodating as we wanted a low sugar dessert so they created a lovely berries and cream mixture. We will definitely be back and we high recommend The Farmers Arms for any occasion.

We turned up slightly late but this was no problem for the helpful staff who showed us to a lovely table in the Orangery. The food was excellent and well presented and our friends were very impressed with the food and the way we were looked after.

This was our first time visit and we were very impressed. The Farmers Arms had great food and atmosphere. We will most definitely be back again.

Food was excellent as always. The Staff service and friendliness couldn`t be faulted , it was also excellent. An enjoyable experience which I would reccomend to anyone.

Overall,it was an enjoyable evening. Our party of six all enjoyed their food, a few items on the menu had sold out but that is understandable at this time of year. The stand-out item was the service, prompt, helpful and cheerful we were really well looked after.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, will definitely come again. Food and the atmosphere was amazing and the place was packed with happy punters. Looking forward to the next visit.

Lovely staff, great food, well priced. Despite being very busy the staff were attentive, cheerful and polite. The food was excellent and the staff were very good in suggesting cocktails that could be adapted to become non alcahokuc

Lovely meal in a superb setting. No doubt due to it being a busy Christmas Eve but drinks service was slow - my wine was very slow arriving and I had to ask for water repeatedly (again as food brought to table) and eventually went to the bar myself to get some. Our drinks were sitting on a tray at the bar waiting to be brought to the table. More staff needed on such busy evening I expect. We still have a tip as overall food was good and friendly staff were apologetic about delay with drinks !

I had the steak pie - it was delicious! Recommend it to anyone. The staff was very friendly, we got served quickly and the pub is nicely decorated. Overall we had a great time.

Nicely cooked and presented food that tasted lovely. Food came out of the kitchen remarkably quicklly on a busy day. Waiting staff all very pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and food and very efficient.

The reserved table for six peolpe was ready, the service was excellent, and the food was just right. The place is comfortable, the car park adequate, and we all came away very satisfied. Will go again.

A lovely meal. Delicious Camembert to start and linguine for main. Tasty cocktails too. Nice decor. Service very good even in a busy time of year

I had to return my first choice main dish as it was very bland. The replacement was fine. The ambiance of interior is very good and service excellent

Excellent meal and first class service at a very reasonable cost and in comfortable surroundings.......what more could you wish for. The Farmers Arms have got it just right and is a credit to the Poynton restaurant experience.

Another good meal and service with a smile. Please have your lightshades cleaned though. Definitely recommend the calves liver and the creme brulee. Good job girls.

They have done the farmers arms up very smart!! Saturday night it was rammed but the service was spot on and food arrived quickly and was really nice steak pies were great and the sea bass was nicely done.

We had a family birthday Sunday lunch at the Farmers Arms in Poynton: The service and attentiveness of the staff was really good and the food was excellent. The wines / beers etc were good and reasonably priced. We started with two sharing platters between 6, more than ample, followed by full roast dinners for 3 of us and steak pies for the remaining 3. The only thing that was disappointing and let them down, was that the food was served on cold plates. We would go there again and when we do we will mention that we expect warm plates!

Had a lovely meal and the service was excellent too, no delays on the table when we arrived, it was ready and waiting for us.

The service was not great the waitress virtually threw my husbands meal at him and some fell off the plate and landed on the table. There was very little food for the money and the we left extremely disappointed with everything, doubt we will be returning
