Farmers Arms

Lovely atmosphere. Food was great once o got my full dish. Ordered the teriyaki salmon with noodles, it came without the salmon. Once I pointed this out I got my salmon straight away.

Great service- pricey in comparison with other restaurants in the area. Ambiance good, popular place. Food is not the best quality but plenty of variety on the menu.

Good food, pleasant staff, comfortable seating and ambience. Not sure why I need to type 25 words but this should do the job, I think.

Very nice. A bit warm in the eating area . The roast beef had run out by 430pm? The booths were a little tight on space.

Go regular for our Sunday lunch the food is always excellent and the staff are very friendly. Will be trying a mid week meal very soon.

Service good. Food good, no complaints. One person had beef stir fry and beef was bit dry but overall very tasty. I had the duck which was excellant.

Very busy Sunday lunch, lots of celebrations which made for a great atmosphere. Roast dinner was excellent, roast beef cooked to perfection, not overdone. Staff were brilliant, they worked so hard to look after everybody. Sophie especially couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and well looked after but all the staff were excellent. Will definitely go again, but perhaps when it's a little bit quieter.

Lovely food but very poor service was waiting a long time for food and when we had finished the plates were left for a while, we had to ask for the bill and said we were paying by card so the lady said she would bring the card machine back with her which she didnt and we was left sat there even longer, in the end we just got up and went to the front to pay.

Pleasant surroundings. Excellent food. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the desserts are delicious. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. We went on a recommendation and we will definitely be returning.

we had an excellent lunch. Only one complaint, my daughter ordered the tuna salad, it was a very SMALL tuna steak and was cooked through, she had asked for it to be medium !!! The sea bass and steak pie were both delicious and the waitress was delightful.

Beautiful place and great atmosphere. Food was delicious and various option for vegetarian. Certainly will be coming back soon. Great location and accessible car park.

Beautifully decorated pub with a lovely atmosphere absolute shame to have to sit in the corner of a very average conservatory, food and service were fine .

Great food and as a coeliac extremely good choice on the menu. Attentive staff for who nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend The Farmers Arms to anyone

The Farmers is constantly great food, with lovely staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. As a low carb dieter they have fantastic menu options and are alway happy to help.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Will definitely be back.

Good food polite staff.service excellent did not have to wait long for our meal to arrive.Drinks were prompt and as ordered. Never had a bad time at the Farmers Arms.

Usually excellent but very disappointing on this occasion. Yorkshire puddings were still frozen on the inside and had to be sent back. Food generally not up to usual high standard.

Very helpful and polite staff, who were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even though it was towards the end of the day, everything on the menu was available

Varied menu, great food, great service. There were three of us and we ordered a selection of starters as a sort of tapas, it was really good. Nice atmosphere. We went just as it opened at 12-00 lunchtime and had reserved a table, but as it happened it wasn't too busy. I would recommend booking though, as it does get busy.

Lovely meal (steak pie and chips)! Great service, as always. We are frequent visitors and it's always a good experience. No negatives, nice orangery and outside eating, when it's warm.

Lovely Sunday dinner and the staff were friendly. Would definitely return. All have roast beef and couldn’t fault it, roast potatoes were crispy just perfect.

Great staff and atmosphere. Food okay however the pudding which was supposed to be a chocolate fondue, was cold watery chocolate with stale bits of waffle, rocky road and mini marshmallows. So very disappointing.

Good food and thought we had good service until we realised that we were never told about the specials board. Friendly staff but the waitress was chewing something when she took our order.

We have eaten at the Farmers arms many times and the food is consistently good. Service sometimes can be slow but staff are nice and friendly.

The food we ordered was amazing and reasonably priced. The staff was lovely and helpful and the restaurant was very cosy and well decorated. We had a great experience and we will come back for sure.

This was the first time we had been to the Farmers for Food. I have to say that the Food and staff were both Excellent, will definitely be returning for food again!

Fabulous meal, staff really helpful and friendly. No rush to eat your meal! Only downside was that there was nowhere to park! We did eventually squeeze in near to a hedge but managed to get a few scratches. Think maybe there should be a notice for shoppers to not park there if not eating!

Excellent food and service every time we dine at the Farmers Arms. We have dined there many times and now it’s our go to restaurant.

Vey bust post football (England 2 - Sweden 0) but great atmosphere. Great table in the 'conservatory' and lovely staff. Menu extensive, with something for everyone. We chose tempura veg. to start, followed by sea bass and cheese and onion pie. Great tastes and lovely evening.

Great surroundings, lovely food, good service, plus well cooked tasty food. I would like to see a “today’s specials” board, and possibly a refreshed menu after sampling this one on a number of occasions.

We had previously booked a table for 4 noting that two in the party were disabled . It was disappointing to find on arrival we could not access the restaurant area due to a small flight of stairs. A table on the ground floor bar area had evidently been reserved for us but the staff member who greeted us neither knew or checked the reservation until we pointed to a reserved sign on a table in an otherwise empty bar area. The meal itself was satisfactory but did not resemble the Sunday Lunch experience as advertised as there was only Beef ,Lamb or Ham available .The bar staff were friendly toward us but being alone in the bar area lacked the ambiance of a convivial Sunday lunch in the restaurant we thought we had booked.

Great service, offers a full menu. Food was to a high standard and very well presented. Due to it being Father’s Day he got a free pint!

We had a very nice experience at The Farmers .. a Fathers Day tea out. To be expected it was busy but the staff on the whole were very good.
