Yeah was great food did take a while to come out but we wasn’t in a rush and was brought nibbles

I had artichoke soup ,lovely, and burger and chips from lunch menu .Chips not the best, burger good .My friends both had pate and fish and chips .They both enjoyed the meal .Staff friendly and welcoming and service good ambiance also good

We had two people in our party with allergies and the waitress could not do enough for us to ensure foods we choose were suitable. Excellent service.

Food OK services OK my wife's chicken was overpriced. Not offered fixed priced menu option told we should have asked for it !!

Service was good/ staff polite and friendly however food wasn’t all that. My partner ordered a chicken dish and it was tiny and not worth the price. Was advertised with truffle mash and it had two squirts of something on the plate. Extremely misleading! Also they had ran out of a number of dishes which again was disappointing. I had fish and chips which was just ok. Batter was pretty tasteless. I won’t be returning in a hurry which is a shame.

Good friendly service lovely ambience only one criticism (but not on my meal) was I don’t like service of fries in those metal buckets

The staff are lovely , friendly and efficient Had set menu the starters were not good Pate was crumbly and tasteless the manager Agreed And removed it from the menu Sea bass was beautiful but not enough Vegetables included The chairs are uncomfortable not very stylish, look more like old garden or conservatory Furniture

Very slow service even had to ask for the menu after waiting 10 mins with no menu food cold over cooked meat Sunday roast not recommended at all and hair on daughter plate still had to pay for the gruel that one person ate as he was absolutely starving. Would not go back in a hurry

I visited with my husband for lunch . We both chose from the festive menu which offered good choice at a very reasonable price. All the usual Christmas extras such as crackers on the table . Relaxed atmosphere at lunchtime. and friendly staff...We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Visited George’s for the fourth year in a row for annual Christmas dinner with two friends. Usually enjoy it but this year very disappointed, no Christmassy feel, no crackers on the table, service wasn’t like it has been in the past. Also slight changes to the menu which wasn’t a big deal but Again disappointed With the Turkey dinner with ‘all the trimming’ which mainly consisted of Brussels sprouts. Looks like we’ll be finding a new place for Christmas dinner next year.

I am not a fan of negative reviews, so I will keep this brief. 2 roast dinners - 1 chicken (legs only) 1 topside (extremely fatty), roast potatoes - none provided until questioned - deserts brought to table 10 minutes apart. Potentially the worse Sunday Roast I have had since my Grandmother's 35 years ago.
