Enjoyed our lunch in celebration of my mother’s 89th birthday, lovely staff, nothing to much trouble. Only thing missing was that after ordering fresh orange juice there was none available, staff very apologetic, otherwise lovely food and highly recommend.

Sadly had to cancel our last reservation due to illness but was worth the wait to come back again yesterday, delicious roast as always. Great atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Thanks again for a lovely dinner.

Average at best, wont be going back and this was not our 1st visit, this was a 2nd visit to see if the 1st time was a 'one off', sadly not to be.

First time customers on a recommendation. Waited over 30 minutes to be seated for a booking. No beef or chicken choice for roast after 5.45pm. No starters and our mains didn’t arrive till after 6.20pm - 35mins after ordered. Food was lovely and service was good. Just need to ensure they can handle Sunday service x

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Tasty food and quick service even at a busy time. Recommend to go early as their motto with Sunday roast is once it’s gone it’s gone!

Food was lovely but we waited 30mins for starter and another 45 for mains. Not what we expected for a chicken breast and 3 medium rare steaks with a combined total bill of over 200 quid.

A starter tastes good. I think there may be too much fries. Deserts are a bit too sweet

Bubbly place , enjoyable meal, plenty of booze and very engaging young men waiting on the table - win win. Feel like we’ve actually had a night out - would recommend.

Me and my fiancé had an absolutely fantastic time at George’s! The food was beyond amazing and the staff were soo good at checking if everything was ok and if we needed anything! A special thanks to Adam as we’d ordered crumble however they ran out and to compensate for that he gave us an extra scoop of ice cream next to out sticky toffee pudding and he was really helpful and always had a smile on his face. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone who wants a nice romantic meal. Definitely will be going back!:)

Beautiful food and excellent selection for breakfast, including lots of optional extras which is good for customising your meal. Service was slightly slow, which was disappointing as it wasn’t overly busy for breakfast, but would definitely return for the lovely food!

Extremely disappointing experience, we will not be giving George’s another chance. Cold starters, lengthy waits, unseasoned soup and tasteless roast lamb. The waiting staff are very pleasant and helpful but they are up against it with such poor quality food and organisation. The Manager came nowhere near us despite being aware that we were dissatisfied.

Lovely visit as always. Food was lovely, we waited a little longer then normal for our desserts but the staff are so kind and helpful that this was addressed quickly and allowed us to relax alittle more after our main course. We look forward to our up coming visit in November for a Birthday celebration.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. My friend stated there was a vegan menu, Sausage casserole, Burger or ravioli (really?!!) are not what I had hoped for given the owners of this establishment. I opted for the ravioli which came warm, I had to return it. I hadn't asked for any money off the bill however the manger informed the staff to tell me they wouldn't be deducting anything from the bill, the table next to me had also complained at the standard of food, especially the delivery of it. My friend had fish of the day, and that was it with some potatoes and couple of florets of broccoli . Very plain. Unimaginative and not worth the money. Came home smelling of cooking fat! Very basic and 'Home Economics' school level of cooking skills.

In my opinion the food is over priced priced for what it is.

I had two friends over from Liverpool and they absolutely loved the restaurant and food. Great lunch, staff wonderful as always, especially Ben , always makes you feel welcome.

Limited Sunday Lunch menu, made shorter by no Fish & Chips (which my husband wanted), no butter served with Parfait, asked 3 times for mint sauce, had to ask a number of times for wine told waiter didn't press SEND button on till, still had to ask again for wine. Desserts offering only 2 choices, as well as ice cream & cheese, only to be told our choice of dessert not available, so ordered cheese and had to ask a couple of times for butter. Bill incorrect and took ages for PDQ machine to work. Food was ok, service was shocking - apart from a young lady called Alex who really tried to make our day better. Really bad sunday afternoon would have had a better meal at the local carvery!

A fabulous evening with friends. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. One of our party was gluten free and staff ensured that menus for this intolerance were understood. Overall an excellent night.

It was a Monday and it was very quiet ..... but that didn't bother us we were busy talking anyway x It was the first time for Sophie and she thought it was a lovely place to eat ..... We were pleased with the service too ....Its always a pleasure to eat here ......
