Hops and Chops

Found the staff wonderful. Took time to explain beverage questions (brought different gins to our table to illustrate) as well as our questions on the menu. The food was great as well as our evening in general.

Tremendous food. Atmosphere, service by the staff, selection of beers & gins was excellent too. Will return and would thoroughly recommend it to others too

Great little place but can get quite noisy due to the low ceiling. I was excited to try it out as I'm a fan of sister establishment, 'The Smoke Pit' in Central Northampton. To be honest, it's the little sister to Smoke Pit and is like a decent restaurant as they serve a slightly wider array of food. With the name as it is, I got the meat that I was expecting, but the craft beer is limited to only 2 beers on tap (2/3 pint only) and lots of overpriced bottles, rather than having a wide selection on tap - one bottle was priced at over £7 (not sure of the size as it's not given). The food arrived in decent time, well presented and tasted great (my medium rare Rib Eye was a bit more medium than I'd have liked but I'll just order rare next time). Would recommend for a more intimate setting than Smoke Pit but I'd ask to be seated somewhere in one of the corners, especially if it's busy!

Friendly staff, great ambience and superb food . . . . . . . what's not to love ? Thoroughly recommend for that special night out ! Will be going again for sure ! !

Great food, great environment, great atmosphere. Food little slow hence a 4 not a 5. Recommend even so - we’ll definitely be back very soon.

Hops and Chops provide excellent top quality food, a superb selection of craft beers and gins along with excellent service, i can say no more other than i highly recommend you visit soon!!

Great food , lovely atmosphere. This was the third time we’ve been and can’t wait to go back! The only criticism is that the wine list is very confusing!

Great new place for meat lovers. They’re very busy and atmosphere is good so book in advance.

The food was amazing, tasted so nice. The staff were very attentive and always approaching asking if we were ok and if we needed anything. The noise levels in the restaurant was high, but it was very busy so I would expect that. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend going to anyone

It’s not as big as you think so bigger party tables can be very noisy. There were some girls on a table next to us very noisy and kept screaming when they laughed. But it didn’t spoil our night at all,just in case you were expecting it to be very quiet it isn’t as it’s always full

It’s only just opened but nowhere near as good as it’s sister restaurant the smoke pit but it can only get better
