The perfect combination of superb food, a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Plus what may well be the best Italian wine list in all of London. A gem of a place.

When I came in to the restaurant the waiter did not give a particularly friendly warm welcome. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and relaxing and we had a great table in the conservatory but which was nice & warm & full of big lovely plants. When the waiter came he gave the menu to the gentleman in our party first (white) despite there being two women in the party. Maybe he just doesn’t have the extra manners but I did feel a bit negative. The menu was delicious with lots of choice for everyone as was the wine list. When the waiter took our order he didn’t offer any suggestions or guidance regarding sides. When the food arrived we realised we could have done with some more greens etc. Nevertheless the food was absolutely delicious and the service timely etc. The ambience was lovely too. When we got home my husband said to me that although it was lovely the waiter did somewhat lack manners the way he had handed the menu to him first rather then the women or older people. Then he added that maybe he was just a bit in preference of certain ethnic groups. Look, we don’t know what he was thinking or why he was not friendly but living in central London we don’t often worry or think about racism but I found it a coincidence that we both got the same negative vibe. Unfortunately it struck enough of a bad note with me to not return despite everything else being impeccable.

Very nice restaurant. Good service, friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the tuna tartare could have been spiced a bit better, and the mal tagliati with Ragu were definitely overcooked. The Ragu sauce was delicious though.

Portions were to too small, does not justify the costs. We took our own birthday cake and they charged us £28 extra for that which frankly I think was discusting.

Nice the place, but very cold inside.I had to stay with my jacket on. The dishes were really good but the portions absolutely ridiculous: just 3 small pieces of lamb only two small pieces of beef. I thought I was eating a starter instead of a main. Ridiculous!

Lovely to go somewhere where you are not confined to a Valentine menu! Great pasta, but my pacchera pasta white ragú dish was only just luke warm. The lady next to me complained about hers and sent it back, wish I had done so too, but the dish was delicious. Only real criticism was that the tables were so uncomfortably close to one another in the garden section that we felt we were having dinner with the next people and not overly romantic.

Wonderful restaurant, friendly staff and great atmosphere! Staff were very helpful also with constructing a new pasta for our little one from ingredients they had so that it can be more child-friendly. Really enjoyed out evening!

Great true Italian restaurant. Nice touches like focaccia and amuse bouches. Service is not the most attentive but that was my only gripe. Lovely modern but comfortable setting.

The food is excellent, innovative, delicious The service, instead, not good, waiters not in good mood, waiters passing plates over the table, etc. So great food, nice atmosphere, but the service is not appropriate

Very tasty food, well presented and a lovely atmosphere. Restaurant was busy not full on a sunny Sunday lunchtime. We arrived before our booked time which did not cause any issues and we were not rushed at all. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We had some mixed starters on the table, 1 main course each and a very delicious bottle of rose. Will definitely visit again.

Love this restaurant. Short menu, all great stuff, lovely wine list and people who really know what they're doing. Recommend the Mortadella with truffles or the the burrata to start with, then literally any pasta choice is fabulous (maltagliata is my personal favourite). And try their amazing limoncello afterwards - it's the best!

The food, service and staff .l were all great. Will definitely list it as one of my favourite restaurants Parking difficult but worth spending on taxi. Unfortunately two large parties were going on in the back room where we were placed and this made it very noisy.

The restaurant was very accommodating to our dietary needs; allowing us to modify, or even create, dishes that met our requirements for a pre-marathon carb load.

An excellent corner for italian (mainly tuscan) food, with a superlative wine cellar. Familiar location, good and fast service, appetizers and treats compliments of the house. I'll certainly be back!

I recently had dinner in the restaurant "Il Trillo", where I had the chance to eat some very good italian food (I am italian, so I definitely can state it was really good). The stay was pleasant also because of the very cozy atmosphere: inside the restaurant there is a sort of "winter garden" with some lemon plants and everything results so comfortable and familiar. The wine list is also amazing, provided with a wide variety of excellent brands.

Authentic Tuscan well executed with attentive service. Wine list is so life but not overwhelming. Prosciutto and melon was superb and papardelle was perfectly cooked. The pigeon risotto was unique and decadent but well proportioned. An oasis in a busy city.

We visited the restaurant 3 years ago when the food was mind blowing. This time the turbot was not fresh, tuna tartare tasteless, pasta vongole average etc. An Italian version of Irish coffee, served in a whisky glass set us back £10 each, which was a total rip off.

Food good but service was very slow and it was not until the following day when one of our party re-checked the receipt, that we realised we had been charged for a bottle of wine that they never bought us. Disappointing as we have had good times here in the past.
