Lovely food. A really super neighbourhood restaurant. All pasta home made, and thoughtfully created daily specials. Interesting Sardinia wine list. Just the loos need sorting. Come on out guys!
This is basically a congenial and well-run restaurant but the non-pasta alternatives are very limited and on this occasion the fish of the day was bland, slightly over-cooked and disappointing.
lovely restaurant, gorgeous food, very nice staff. It is a firm favourite and a first choice. we have never been disappointed- consistently good food and a good experience
A local restaurant for us that consistently prepares top class food in a relaxed setting. We will be back again and again and again.... Recommended!
Food was excellent, and the staff and service was great throughout the night. A perfect way to spend our Friday evening! We will certainly be going back soon
This is a small Sardinian restaurant just off Putney High St. We went on a Saturday evening when it had a full restaurant and they were turning tables round too as people left. Small menu but everything seems to be cooked fresh. Our one negative comment was that we had to wait quite a while for our main courses but they were delicious when they did appear. Also my husband commented that his panna cotta was the best he'd ever had! We'll go again in the week when perhaps it won't be quite as frantic inside.
Very friendly reception on a Saturday night. Good food. Friendly and attentive service. Between us we had beef capacio, bruschetta, venison tagliatelle and ravioli. All well cooked and delightful. Atmosphere bubbled nicely - not too lourd or quiet
Lovely pasta dishes, imaginative, nicely presented. Attentive service, relaxed atmosphere. Good wine list, mostly Sicilian. Will definitely go again next time we are in Putney.
Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. The food was good without being stunning. In reality slightly overpriced for what it was. They'd forgotten to add the wine on to the bill.
Spent a lovely fri night at Isola, lovely food and attentive staff. Not a free table available so glad we booked. Wld definitely return here
We had a delicious meal in intimate and friendly surroundings. Prompt and welcoming service in a genuine family restaurant. Staff were attentive without being intrusive.
The typical sardinian food was delicious and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Definitely recommended for a lovely dinner.
Good and wine very good. Had the special, which was sea bass cooked in a salt crust. Would highly recommend. Service efficient and friendly too.
I thought the ambience , food and service all hit the mark. We organised dinner with our friends and they were very happy. The chef even adapted to the request from our daughter to provide something not on the menu .
Great food and polite and attentive staff with a cosy but very warm environment. Reasonable pricing but wine could have been better chilled in advance
A treasure of a local restaurant. Amazing service & delicious fresh food, in stunning candlelit surroundings. I can't rate this little gem highly enough, delicious!
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent wine, amazing food - particularly the pasta. The service was attentive and helpful. A great find in a hidden location. Will be returning.
Isola de Sol is a small Sardinian restaurant and feels very personal. It has a warm atmosphere, the service is friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. Ask the sommelier about their Sardinian wines - well worth trying!
A bit pricey, but lovely food and great atmosphere. The venison ragou tagilatelle is devine! Would definitely go back again soon for a special occasion.
This restuarant is one of my very favourites and we are so lucky to have them in Putney. The food is top notch, delicious and inspiring and the service is second to none
The food is amazing! The ambience is absolutely cosy! The waiters are very attentive. Food is really hearty homemade Italian. For Putney it is pricey but really worth paying.
Beautifully made Italian food in a cosy setting tucked away off Putney high Street. We had a great evening there and will definitely be going back.
Superb 3 course meal on New Years Eve, the food was delicious and so enjoyable, great atmosphere and everyone was in friendly chatty form which created a nice buzz. Looked after very well by Luke, drinks and food were prompt and we left feeling very full and so glad we'd booked in there. Thanks for a great evening! ☺
good food, nice ambience, attentive waiters. We had a very enjoyable evening. An extra friend came who wasn't included in the original booking but that wasn't a problem. The Linguine with crab was just as it should be and so was the Ravioli with Porcini. We'll definitely come back.
Small, cosy restaurant which never lets you down. Excellent food, wine and service. Sardinian food is slightly different from most Italian restaurants and absolutely fantastic. We will return!
Comida muy rica, presentación bonita, lugar tranquilo y servicio bueno. Quizás un poco caro en comparación con otros restaurantes de la zona que son muy buenos también.
Excellent meal, fantastic service, buzzy atmosphere and well priced for London. This little gem is just a short walk from home and I have never been disappointed. I thoroughly recommend it.
Chilled out, cosy restaurant perfect for a cold winter evening. The menu is mostly pasta based. I had the crab linguine which was delicious. The desserts were amazing - we shared a panacotta and tiramisu.
Another lovely evening of fantastic food and great service. From the moment you walk in to the amazing smells of home cooking; from drinking the first sips of great wine you haven't tried before but which becomes a favourite; right through to sharing a desert but wishing you'd ordered your own - another relaxed and lovely evening at Isola Del Sole.
Lovely. Can't understand why it's not busier. Beautifully cooked and and charming friendly service. There were 5 of us and it was just shy of 50 per head which is not cheap but it was worth it.
Delicious food. Good service. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you very much now trying to get to the minimum of 25 works which seems a bit OTT!
Let's start positive the staff were lovely and welcoming. Had high expectations for good Italian food and had starved myself all day in anticipation, start with the bread basket, it was like the cheapest white sliced bread you could buy at the supermarket, Italian breads are brilliant no idea why they didn't serve something more authentic. Main I went for Linguini Vongole the pasta was extremley over cooked like mush, almost seemed like it was left over from lunch and reheated very disappointing at £17 for a bowl of pasta. The aperitif £8.95 for a negroni I expected a glass bigger than a thimble!! Would I return sadly no, would I recommend NO it's way overpriced..
As usual, fantastic food and one. the pasta is freshly hand made everyday at the restaurant. And the service is as great as the food.
Lovely warm atmosphere but slow service. Starters were good but not particularly special. I think if you order pasta you won't go wrong here. Is expensive though for what it is..
Intimate and friendly restaurant with delicious Italian food. Choice of daily specials. Recommend you book well in advance at weekends as it is usually full.
Menu was inadequate as fish of the day was unavailable and the remaining selection was not to my liking. Also, a huge price difference (£10) between the house wine and the next (slightly) better bottle.
Authentic Sardinian food in a pleasant, friendly setting. A limited menu and wine list but very good quality food and wine at a fairly reasonable price.
Nice waiting staff but the food was poor. The aubergine with mozzarella was a moisture-less mess cooked to death. The wild boar ragù was a salty lumpy experience and served microwave hot. Even the wine was joyless. Acidic and unpleasant. Meet for a few drinks here by all means. But avoid the food at all costs.
Wonderful evening. Cosy, inviting atmosphere. Friendly and superb service. Finally, truly excellent and mouth-watering food. Hard to decide what to order. Definitely a place for a special occasion. Be sure to make a date
Great service, attentive, good wine advice. excellent food, very tasty, good potions, competitively priced. fantastic wine, both red & white delicious...perhaps on the expensive side. Well worth a visit.
